Disclaimer: I do not, not own Soul Calibur and its characters. It is property of Namco.

Ah, so this is the girl my minions warned me about. I can feel the presence of the shard of Soul Edge inside her blue tunic.

“You have a piece of Soul Edge, don’t you? I can feel it.” She flinches what I have said.

I will soon engage in battle, with a pathetic, stupid girl. Thinking she can undo and try to save these people of my dark influence. It really makes me laugh at the very idea.

From within the overcoat, I draw out my blade and charge inward to end her life. However, she blocks my attack!

Interesting. It has been a while that I had a good fight…

I give more fierce blows with each passing second, never slowing down and increasing my speed. Her pace is starting to slow and she still did not land an attack, ah, what a shame, I really did hope to get something out of this, but she is the same as any other warrior, weak and pathetic to hope to beat me in victory.

Suddenly, she lets out a scream, runs at me like a barbarian, and lashes out her blade with more speed than I ever mustered.

This startles me, yet, it also fascinates me. I can see in those clear eyes that she is able to ward off evil. Nevertheless, she is not as strong as the holy stone.

Now that I think about it, this battle has been dragging on long enough and I do need to search for the sword to make a perfect world for Amy and me. I wait for an opportunity for the next blow.

She screams again and runs forward with blade high in the air, I smirk, parry her attack, and leap back.

My cape lingers in the moonlight for brief moments until I enter the shadows once again; I stop and smirk.

“So, woman, you can ward off evil, though not as strong as the Holy Stone. Interesting. I’ll let you live for now.”

“You’re going to run?! You coward!”

Coward? That is the first time I heard such a statement coming from a woman. I laugh and take a breath.

“I already have what I came for.” I grip the shard around my fist and walk away, leaving the girl alone with the moonlight as her only companion.

I can feel my blood stirring throughout my veins. I wonder why I let her live? She can foil my plans for the perfect world I have for Amy. Yet, she intrigues me.

This is the first time I have ever meet a woman as pure as her. I want to know more about her, she is not like any other woman.

Oh, I do hope we cross swords again, because next time I will make her mine.

Author’s note: Um, yeah, this is my first fic with this pair. So please leave a review and tell me what you think. Thanks and have a great day.
