There may be a lack of information in this (like juugo's mental health) but I figured if your reading a team hebi fic, then you should know enough about them to have no need for obvious facts.

The starting is in Suigetsu's POV.

The autumn wind sweeps forward, dousing my bare arms in aching cold, making my toes curl in the inside of my sneakers.

'Dammit. What happened to bright and sunny? Stupid weather forecast.'

Juugo, my roommate, seems just as uncomfortable. A small leaf flutters about in his hair, almost invisible in those wild, auburn locks. I see him shiver slightly, then bring a hand up to rub at his forearm, attempting to bring colour to his skin. Neither of us expected it to be this cold. I was dressed in a sleeveless, purple top with white cutoffs, and matching purple Converse All Stars. Not exactly well equipped for cold weather. Juugo was slightly better, with a faded brown T-shirt, old jeans and old sneakers. Fashion was never Juugo's best point.

"Fuck! Who's idea was it to come here?"

Juugo glances at me, grey eyes confused.

"Karin's. Wasn't it?"

"Bitch. Why the hell would she tell us to come here when its so damn cold?"

Juugo shrugged, never one to dwell on small details. I suppose thats how he manages to stay optimistic (When he isn't trying to kill people, of course).

"Ugh."

We stopped talking after awhile. Conversations never seem to last between the two of us. Thankfully, there was no need for mindless chatter, as a girl could be heard calling our names in the distance, through the trees. Seconds later, Karin, a fellow university student and excessively annoying freind of Juugo's (Definitely not mine) Burst through the thick underbrush.

"Oh! Hey Juugo, Suigetsu!"

Now Karin was dressed perfectly. Hat, scarf, gloves the whole shebang. Twigs and leaves were caught in her vivid red hair, and her pale cheeks were pink and flushed. If she weren't so annoying, she might actually be considered attractive.

"Hey! Why didn't you tell us it was gonna be this cold?" I gestured to mine and Juugo's attire."Look at us! Were freezing!"

She frowned at me, her withering look was always permanently fixed whenever I spoke to her, or in her vicinity.

"Shut up. It's not my fault it's cold, I can't control the weather, can I?" Then she turned to the small satchel she was carrying, and began rustling through it. I glanced over at Juugo, who simply shrugged as if to suggest he had no idea what she was doing. After a moment, she turned back to us holding a small sheet of paper."You said you needed a job right?"

I turned to the paper she had thrust into my hands. It was an advertisment for a new pet store that had just opened on the other side of town. The owner was looking for employees, preferably part-time university students, as the university was quite close. I saw Juugo, holding his sheet, eyes scanning over every word. I felt bad for the guy. He loved animals, just as much as I did, but his current, ah, psychological state, meant that he couldn't hold up any job at the moment. Hell, he shouldn't even be attending school, he's that unstable.

"You called us here just to offer us jobs?"

Karin scowled. "Just be grateful! You're lucky I offered you anything. So what do you think?"

I shrugged."Sure, it sounds cool."

Karin smiled, and took the paper from me."Good, I knew you'd say yes, so i've taken the liberty of setting up interviews at the pet store for the both of us." She glanced warily at Juugo."I wasn't sure about you, Juugo."

He shook his head apologetically and handed the paper back. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine, I understand" (Though she really didn't.) "You should probably get back, you both look like you've spent an hour naked in an ice rink."

I stared down at my shivering hands, remembering how cold I was. Karin turned away from us, heading back the way she came. "Bye. And Suigetsu, Meet me outside the pet store tomorrow for our interview. I don't need to give you the address, do I?"

"No."

"Good. And don't be late, or i'll kick your ass."

Ugh. This was written out of pure boredom. Karin kind of reminded me of Haruhi Suzumiya in this. And Suigetsu's outfit made him sound kind of queer.
