Yes, once again, I've started another Fic.

I do believe though that this experiment will be much like Proofing. Only about five or six chapters and depending on my updates, it'll be finished kinda quick.

Secondly, I know this has been done a gajillion and two times. I know. I've read a great number of them that are far more fantastic than this one will be. I just thought I'd throw my fedora in. :D

And lastly, this idea came out of nowhere. I just got home from school, had this idea pop into my head, and started writing. :D

So, that's all for now. Naturally, I'll change the rating if it gets . . . whatever . . . as you all well know. Though I'm sure this will be fairly G rated.

TenTen was the warrior.

She carried blades of steel and scrolls of numerous sizes.

She could hit targets on center in a heartbeat, and her skill rivaled that of many shinobi.

TenTen was the dreamer.

She often dreamed of excelling to become a proclaimed Jonin. She dreamed of her dead mother and if she would be proud of the life she’d chosen.

TenTen was not like her teammates.

Neji was the darkness that was always there, lingering like fog in the morning. Lee was the light, shining brilliantly like the sun in his unwavering devotion.

TenTen did not have a place amongst her teammates. She was there, just waiting, as if to be picked up by someone and placed somewhere.

They were all in the Lightning Country on a mission. Guy-sensei had not gone with them.

They were there for mere political reasons, sent to protect the daimyo’s son.

However, they were ambushed and taken unawares.

Neji was knocked unconscious. Lee sported a grotesque wound in his abdomen.

TenTen fought with all of her might, until her face and clothes were blood splattered and she was unable to stand any longer.

TenTen for their lives and for hers that day.

When she woke up in the Konoha infirmary several days later, with Lee lying beside her and Neji keeping watch over them by the wall, a thought occurred to her.

She was the middle that held the light and dark together.

TenTen was the warrior and the dreamer.

The metal she carried with her was a threat to all that when she fought, her heart and soul resembled steel.

The dreams she dreamed were of a better life for her and her teammates, for shinobi everywhere.

TenTen fought for her dreams to come true.

She was a kunoichi.
