The moonlight cast a radiant glow as it permeated the wide, glassy windows and bounced off the dark waters of the pool. There was not a single cloud in the dark sky; it was a beautiful night.

Perfect, romantic…

Ash couldn't bring to mind a time in which he had been more content. Misty was beside him, her head resting softly against his shoulder, his arm around her waist. They were sitting on her diving board, and the many feet between them and the water made it seem like they were the only two people in the world.

"Misty?"

"Hmm?"

"We should go to sleep soon."

"Mmhmm..."

"Misty?"

"Hmm?"

"Are you angry at me?"

The redhead shifted so that she was staring into his eyes.

"Why would I be mad at you?"

"Because I'm leaving for the Orre region tomorrow, and I'll be leaving you behind again."

"I'm sad that you're going, but I know how you feel about me now." She smiled and planted a quick kiss on his lips. "No matter how far away you go, you can't escape me, Ash Ketchum. You'll always be my baby."
