So, I've decided to make the story longer...

and had to add more drama to do so.

Enjoy.

"So what's it say," Troy asked full of concern. It wasn't that he didn't want a baby, but he could tell that Taylor didn't at this time in her life. "Are you pregnant?"

Taylor handed him the negative pregnancy test ands sat beside him on the bed. "Here, see for yourself." She avoided Troy's gaze and felt his hand around her waist. "I'm sorry, Troy." He was getting older and really seemed like he wanted to settle down with her, a part of her wished she was pregnant because of that.

"Don't be, there is nothing to be sorry for. When we're both ready, we'll have a baby." He held Taylor close and kissed her forehead.

Taylor looked up at him and said, "You're too perfect, Troy." He smiled at her, making her feel butterflies in her stomach as if she was a school girl. Feeling his lips on her neck, she rubbed her hands through his silky dark brown hair. "You better use a condom," she whispered with a hint of playfulness but Troy knew she meant it.

"I have an economy sized pack," he replied causing her to giggle before smacking him playfully. Troy began to lift Taylor's shirt up and kiss her flat tummy before her cell phone rang. "Don't answer that." His voice was stern and he lifted Taylor's hands above her head as they lay down so she wouldn't get up.

"Troy," she whined, "it could important." He got off of her and gave her a pout. She laughed and shook her head before grabbing her cell. "Hello, who's this?"

"Taylor, girl, I know you haven't forgotten my number," came the voice of Taylor's mother. She contemplated hanging up on her but knew better than that. Even though she believed Tibby was her parent's favorite, she knew her mother loved her and was just checking to see if she was doing okay. "How's California? Will there be a wedding soon?"

There her mother went again, pushing her down the alter and rushing her into holy matrimony. Ever since her break up with Chad and her sister's marriage, her mother practically begged her to marry and give her grandkids. Tibby despised children and Taylor hated being the one her family depended on for new relatives. Her father, however, wanted grandkids but could wait. He wanted Taylor to stay his baby girl forever.

Sighing into the phone, Taylor glanced at Troy who looked a little pissed that he wasn't getting any and mouthed, 'It's my mother,' He sat up, a little worried because on their first date she'd told him about the relationship, if that's what it was called, that she had with her. She shrugged nonchalantly as her mother went on and on about how she wasn't getting any younger and would love for Taylor to have children.

"Ma, I'm only twenty; I can't even legally buy alcohol."

"So," her mother said, "you don't need to get drunk, sweetie. I just want you to be happy and find a man to have kids with. No matter what you do, I'll always support you." Taylor rolled her eyes and Troy laughed. She was so sick of her mother saying that because it wasn't true. Her mother judged her before supporting her in everything that she did. Taylor had always had a passion for writing, unbeknownst to everyone that she knew; except Troy and Sharpay, and her mother had forced her to dream of being a lawyer. She'd told her that writing was hobby, nothing to make a career out of and that lawyers were financially more successful. It only made her dislike her sister more seeing as though she got to live out her writing dreams.

"Oh, Ma-"

"Who was that laughing," her mother inquired curiously. Taylor slapped her forehead and pinched Troy for being so loud. She never wanted him to meet her parents, not until- well she didn't know what she was waiting for but she just didn't want him to meet them. "I heard a man's voice, Taylor," her mom almost sang into the phone.

"That was my-uh, my boyfriend, Troy. " She had a new found confidence in her voice. "We've been dating for months now."

Her mother gasped and yelled into the background at Taylor's father, giving him the news. "I'm so excited! Did you meet him at the law firm?"

"I told you already, I gave up on that." Troy came to Taylor's side and rubbed her back. He could see that she was getting stressed. "I don't really have a job."

"No job? In this economy? Taylor Renee McKessie, what have you been doing with your life? Your sister Tibby, she's working on a novel. Why can't you be like her?"

Taylor would be like her sister if her mother had let her become a writer. "Mom, just drop it. I'm doing fine, I'm not on the streets or anything like that. Troy and I are happy together and I will get a job, eventually."

"That's not how we raised you, Taylor." Her mother sounded disappointed in her, as if Taylor cared. "Anyway, I gotta meet this Troy guy. I don't want my baby with just any man."

Taylor immediately tensed up. "No, no, Troy isn't into the whole 'meet the parents' thing," she lied. She couldn't let her mom ruin this for her. "I'll email you a picture or something-"

"Taylor, I need to meet this man and that's final. Your father and I will fly out there next week, Saturday to be exact. It's the summer time anyway, and I've always wanted to visit California." Her mother yelled in the background again and Taylor heard her father agree with her plan. "Your sister and Spencer are coming too, is that okay? I bet you snagged a rich man too, huh? Can't wait to find out, bye." Her mom hung up the phone leaving Taylor with a confused look on her face.

She had snagged a rich man but that wasn't a reason why she was with Troy. At least not anymore. What was she supposed to tell her parents when they asked how they met? She couldn't possibly tell them about the sugar daddy thing or Troy's yacht, or the website that she'd re-met him on. And her mom would flip when she found out Troy was white. Not a bad flipping out but not necessarily a good one either. Her mom believed that white men were rich and could take care of her better, and her failed relationship with Chad only made her believe that more. The belief didn't apply to Tibby who had married dark skinned Spencer.

"What's the matter?" Troy kissed Taylor's hand to get her attention.

"My parents are coming to visit, they wanna meet you," she said unenthusiastically. "My sister Tibby and her husband are coming too. This is going to be so bad." She rested her head on Troy's shoulder and her eyes began to tear up. "With you, I don't have to be a Yale graduate or a lawyer, but with them they won't accept me if I'm not. They let Tibby write but not me! It's not fair."

Troy rocked Taylor back and forth, kissing her face all over. "Baby, I assure you it'll be fine. I'd like to meet them and I won't let them bully you, trust me." He smiled to himself as he thought of something. "I can get my parents to come over too, they've been dying to see you." Taylor looked up at him and smiled, and he blushed despite himself. "You okay with that?"

She kissed him softly, a quick peck on the lips, and nodded. "That'd be great." Taylor raised her eyebrows suggestively and put her hands underneath Troy's shirt. "Wanna know what else would be great," she teased.

Troy licked his lips and threw his shirt to the side. "I'm sure you're gonna show me," he said softly against her skin before he ravaged her.
