Prologue
In a lair, high above a river called, “The River of souls”, a strange breed of creatures called Negative ants roamed. They were two times bigger than normal ants, with blue front bodies on males and pink bodies on females. They had shells like pill bugs, and were very heavy, but only to ants. Their king, Kaliman, was not a negative ant at all, he was a normal ant, but if you saw his size, you wouldn’t know it. He was sitting in his throne room, awaiting the news to come. When it did, he read about a place called Ant Island, with a defender called Flik. He decided that he had a score to settle. He thought of that day when he was kicked out of the colony…
Young Kaliman, ten years old, was a devious kid. He snuck into the throne room one night, and stole the Queen’s scepter. When his friend, Flik, saw him with it, he couldn’t help but panic. The queen soon found out about it, and sent her guards to find it. When the guards and the queen found Kaliman and Flik with it, Kaliman blamed Flik for stealing it. But Flik nearly shouted,
“It wasn’t me it was Kaliman.”
“I know how to spot the guilty,” said the queen, “First, the innocent don’t shuffle their feet. Second, they don’t put their hands behind their backs, and last, the look in the eyes tells all.” Kaliman was doing all of that. The scepter was received, and Kaliman was kicked out of the colony for deceiving the Queen. Flik started to cry, “Don’t worry Flik,” said the Queen, “He’ll be out of our minds soon enough.” Kaliman walked for days until he found a stream. He washed his face in it and drank his fill. There was a slight rumble, he looked behind him, and saw massive creatures rise out of the ground. They bowed and said,
“Welcome to the kingdom of Negative Ants, Your majesty.” Kaliman Screamed at the heavens,
“Now, Flik, I shall have my revenge.” But he forgot about it until he read that news article.
