Enigma: He was a puzzle wrapped in a mystery. Something that was hard to figure out yet harder to let go. She was going to figure him out. Even if it killed her.

Hey everyone here is a new Tekken story that I have written. I hope that you all enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I do not own Tekken or none of its characters. It all belongs to Namco.

Chapter One

He leaned his head against the cool glass window. Countless thoughts rushed across his mind. It was something new something old. Just normal everyday thoughts. This was the daily routine and of course it bothered him none. The words of the teacher seemed to be distant echoes. Slowly drifting away into the unknown yet it somehow reached his ears. Good thing he was good at multi tasking, a skill that he seemed to have perfected. He could easily let his mind wonder to other thoughts and still have decent notes written and turned in. Who says the normal routine didn’t have its advantages.

“Now the bell is about to ring in a couple of minutes. Now I want you to copy down your homework and turn in your notes.”

The students passed their papers to the front of the room and one of the students collected the papers.

“Jin did you turn your notes in?” a fellow student asked.

Jin didn’t say anything his attention still on other things. The student murmured something under their breath as they turned around in their desk. The bell rang and the students collected their things and walked out of the classroom. Jin of course was the last to leave the classroom but for some odd reason always found a way to get to his next class first.

Jin gathered his things and picked up his notes that was still lying on his desk and placed them on the teacher’s desk.

“Jin are these the notes that you took in class?” he questioned picking up one of the papers.

Jin didn’t say anything as he stared at the teacher. The teacher sighed as he let Jin leave knowing that he would be late to his next class.

“I will talk to you about this later. Go ahead and get to class I don’t want you to be late.”

He didn’t have to tell Jin twice, Jin was already gone. Jin’s next class was his math class. Luckily for him the teacher didn’t cause him too much grief with his solitude. The day seemed to go by in a frenzy as the last bell rang.

Jin was standing at his locker putting up his books that he didn’t need and placed inside his backpack the ones that were needed.

“Jin!” came the voice from behind him. He knew that voice anywhere. He let out a small sigh as he turned his attention to her direction

“Hey Xiaoyu.”

“I finally have a chance to talk to you.” She was smiling broadly showing all of her pearly whites. “Do you want to walk with me?”

Jin was going to protest but knew that wouldn’t work. She would just find a way to get him to walk with her anyways.

“Sure Xiaoyu.” He closed his locker and faced her. “Let’s go.”

The two of them went down the main streets which was a faster way to get them to their house.

“So how was school today?” Jin started the conversation.

“Oh it was great. Today Miharu and I had to do a project in our science class which resulted in chaos.” Xiaoyu began. She explained every single detail, not leaving one thing out. Having Jin fully see what went on in that class.

“Seems like you had a pretty eventful day.” Jin laughed.

“My life is always eventful.” Xiaoyu said but she suddenly made a quick stop, her eyes were widening with horror. Jin looked over at her with a confused look on his face.

“Xiaoyu are you alright? Is everything okay?”

“I’ve forgotten to pick up Panda!” she shrieked. “We have to go back and get her.”

“Xiaoyu.”

“It won’t take long Jin. I promise but could you come with me?”

Jin shook his head as he looked at her. He didn’t want to go but at the same time he didn’t want to leave her at the school by herself.

“Alright.”

“Thanks Jin, now come on. The school should be closing the gates any minute now.” She tugged on his arm pulling him back in the direction of the school. Xiaoyu and Jin had made it back to school and the gates were about to close.

“No please don’t close the school. I left something inside.”

The guard looked at Xiaoyu. “I’m quite sure that you can get it tomorrow.”

“No I have to get my Panda. She’s still in there. Please I don’t want her to be in this school by herself. And she will be very hungry and grouchy. You don’t want to have a grouchy panda to deal with do you?”

The guard rolled his eyes. “You have 5 minutes. Hurry up or you and your panda will be camping at the school tonight.” He opened the gate and Xiaoyu and Jin rushed in. Xiaoyu reached the animal center of the school to see Panda lying down. Xiaoyu entered inside and gently touched Panda’s head.

“Come on girl it’s time to go home. Her voice was soft and gentle.

Panda looked up at her and quickly recognized her to be Xiaoyu. She got up and followed her and Jin out of the building. Once they reached the gate, Xiaoyu gave her gratitude to the guard. Although he really didn’t care as he closed the gate.

“Thanks for coming back with me Jin.”

“No problem, Xiaoyu. Looks like we have already made it to your house.”

“Looks like it.” Xiaoyu smiled. “Well I’ll see you tomorrow Jin.” She gave him a hug and waved good-bye as she entered inside her house.

Jin made sure that she made inside her house before walking off in the direction towards his. It didn’t take long for Jin to reach his house. But the sight that he saw wasn’t the one that he was expecting. There were police cars everywhere. Some in which were blocking his way from entering inside the front door.

Jin approached the front door but was cut off by an officer.

“Sir you can’t enter inside. This is a crime scene.”

“What? What are you talking about?” Jin asked in disbelief.

“There was a crime committed here and you shouldn’t be here. Go home.”

“Go home? This is my home. Now let me in.” Jin demanded his voice rising a bit.

The officer looked in disbelief as he let the words register into his brain. He stepped aside letting Jin enter inside. Jin quickly walked inside and looked for anymore officers. Two were in the living room, one looking for evidence, while the other was talking to someone on the phone.

“Young man what you are doing in here? This is a restricted area.” One of the officers asked.

“This is where I live. What happened?”

One of the officers looked at Jin with sadden eyes. “Are you related to Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima?”

Jin nodded his head as he spoke. “Yes they are my parents.” He paused. “Did anything happen to them?”

“I don’t know how to say this.” He placed his hand on Jin’s shoulder. Jin’s whole body felt perplexed. What exactly was going on?

The officer saw the confusion and worry flicker across Jin’s face. He let out a sigh and continued. “Your parents were murdered.”

Jin’s entire body went numb. As if all of his senses had stopped working in its entirety.

“Ahh!”
