Blue shirt today with that standard black jacket, it seemed he was always noticing what she wore more and more as of late. Sure he was naturally attuned to his surroundings, but he seemed to have a sixth sense more than usual about her whereabouts as of late. His mind was brought to a total standstill as he gazed upon her with his periferal vision. The long legs encased in jeans that he'd saw a few times at functions totally uncovered or with light panty hose. That wedding party came to mind then, an image he could never get out of his head no matter how hard he tried, and the reaction he had to it still left him breathless. And even if she was smearing lipstick on his face that night, he couldn't deny that just for one small second he felt her lips press harder on his before she pushed him away. He couldn't help his reaction, it was instantaneous to a beautiful woman such as her.
Even before he was shot, he knew he could never leave her and he found himself musing with the obserd logic of it all that he felt like Wesley in The Princess Bride. Always trying to please Mary like his own version of Buttercup. However instead of saying As you wish his version was Tell me what you need. As he gazed upon her with that tube in his chest, his eyes meeting hers, he realized that he'd do anything for her that was in his power to do so. Some days he realized that he had to choose between ravaging her senseless and smacking her sideways. Out of all the things in their ongoing partnership, they met each other head on, took care of each other, and even though he knew he would probably never have a shot...at least she decided to keep him in her life and that meant everything in the world.
