Bella awoke in Edward’s arms on the morning of her eighteenth birthday. After a good morning kiss from Edward, she slipped out of bed to get ready for school. Edward left through the window as always. Bella knew her best friend and Edward's sister, Alice, was planning a party for her birthday. Bella couldn’t believe how happy she’s been with Edward for almost for two years.

But Bella was beginning to sense a change in Edward Cullen. Maybe it was the fact that Edward was a vampire and didn’t want to be Bella’s sire. But she didn’t know if there wasn’t more than that. She was dreading finding out the answer. After breakfast Bella was waiting for Edward to pick her up for school. He pulled up right on time and she climbed into his car. The day past super slow in Bella’s eyes, she wasn’t quite looking forward to the party but she was looking forward spending time with Edward’s family, and alone time with Edward.

After school Bella and Edward went to Bella’s house so she could get ready for the party. Her dad, Charlie, knew she was going to spend the night with Alice but Bella hoped that she was going to spend it with Edward instead. When they got to the Cullen house, Bella was rushed by the family members with hugs.

The party was going pretty well until while unwrapping gifts Bella got a paper cut, but it was not bleeding heavily. Bella held her breath for a few moments. After a few minutes they were all frightened when Jasper jumped up and rushed outside before he attacked Bella. Bella quickly assured her family that she was alright. Jasper came back sometime later and apologized to the entire family. The party continued way into the night.

Before Bella fell asleep Edward carried her up to his room where his family put a bed in there for her. He laid his Bella on the bed and then turned to lock the door. He could sense Bella was waking up a bit so he walked back to the bed and kissed her. Edward knew after that night everything would be different. That night Edward let his passion for Bella take over with no regrets. Even Bella couldn’t say that she had any regrets about having her one perfect night with Edward. After a quick shower Edward drove Bella home.

By Monday morning Edward’s attitude changed so much that Bella did not see the man that she loved so much. By that afternoon when Edward took her to their meadow she was wondering what was wrong with him. Within minutes she knew, and it was worse than she ever thought.

Edward- Bella, we have to talk.

Bella- alright, Edward.

Edward- Bella, I’m sorry but I don’t love you anymore!!

Bella-WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Edward- And my family and I are leaving, it will be like we like never lived here.

Bella- But you promised you wouldn’t ever leave me ever again, do you even remember that promise Edward?

Edward- I can’t live up to that promise, I never could and never will Bella.

Bella- So you’re just going to leave then?

Edward- Yes!

And then Edward just disappeared from the meadow. Bella wanted to collapse but in that moment she wouldn’t let herself be weak because of Edward. So she made her way home. When she got home her father Charlie asked if she was okay.

Bella- You don’t have to worry about me and Edward anymore dad.

Charlie- Oh Bells, I’m sorry what happened?

Bella- He broke it off because they are moving.

Charlie- oh is there something I can do to help you Bells.

Bella- No, I’ll be alright, it’s getting late so I’m going on to bed alright dad?

Charlie- ok Bells (giving her a hug)

Though out the next week Bella was not feeling at all, it was not till three weeks after Edward leaving that Bella realized what was going on. And if Edward wasn’t already dead she would have killed him herself. Bella Swan was pregnant with Edward Cullen’s child. After getting a doctor’s confirmation that she was indeed with child, she decided that she had to talk to her father. After leaving the doctor’s office she drove home and waited for Charlie Swan to come home. After dinner Bella sat down with her father to break the news as gentle as she could to him.

Bella- Dad, could we talk about something important?

Charlie-of course Bells (sitting down)

Bella- You know how Edward left a few weeks ago?

Charlie- Of course why?

Bella- I really loved him you know that dad, I made a choice, one that I don’t and can’t ever regret, I don’t know how to tell you this daddy but I’m pregnant.

Bella held her breath while Charlie’s skin changed colors, fair to red, red to purple, purple to blue. She started to get up, not sure what to do to help her father. ”Guess I can’t be that surprised.” Charlie grumbled as his color returned to normal. Then Charlie did something that Bella was unprepared for, he laughed so hard that tears came to his eyes. ”Okay, have this child but…..” Charlie said still laughing a bit.

Bella- But?

Charlie- But you will have to tell your mother, I’m not saying one word to Renee, that’s all yours!

Bella- that’s not fair but alright, I can live with that dad

Charlie- good, and I will help you as much as I can

Bella- alright thanks dad

Charlie- alright kiddo, no more surprises for awhile alright?

Bella-alright

Charlie- we’re work out something about school, but as long as you finish that is all that counts.

Bella- and I will dad, I promise.

Charlie- I will hold you to that Bells.

Bella- I know you will dad.
