It's written everywhere, I've even read it in my script. But when I thought it wasn't fair I felt it on my lips, let go.

She didn't understand what was going on and she didn't have to. At the end of the day, she was going home alone. Chad had left her for Little Miss Perfect and her whole world was falling apart. It wasn't the fact that she'd lost her boyfriend to her best friend that hurt her. It was the fact she'd pushed him away when everyone could see it in her eyes that she loved him. Going to school was now a bore, the decathalon meetings just something to take up her time. She never realized how much she loved, needed and wanted Chad until he'd given up on her.
The feeling of going down way too deep, holding on so you won't lose your feet. Sometimes you just gotta trust, you gotta take that leap and let go.
Everything about him was amazing. But in the beginning, she couldn't stand him. He was just some stupid jock, someone her kind of people couldn't mingle with. That was until things change, the status quo was no longer being stuck to and people began doing things they loved and not what was expected of them. Even the Ice Queen Sharpay Evans learned to love and finally accepted Zeke Baylor in her life. Taylor McKessie, however, couldn't. It was too hard to admit to Chad that she was in love with him. Not when she could tease him about how stupid he was, and boss him around like he was her poodle. Then one day, things drastically changed and Chad had come to her before school to tell her he'd found someone else: Gabriella Montez.
I've got a feeling by a look you're through. Oh no, what you're revealing...I sit and pray and I will pull through, oh yeah.
Troy Bolton didn't take it well and moped for weeks. He started calling and texting her, as if they were friends when Taylor only put up with him due to her friendship with Gabriella. She pitied Troy, he was a good guy and didn't deserve to be cheated on. Taylor was too lost in her own pain, her own hurt, to even consider helping Troy through his. He had a right to be hurt, but she felt that she didn't even though she was.
These tears are overflowing and never knowing why. All these years we've been, we've been hurting. We have to look inside and try to let go
She'd pushed Chad away. She wasn't ready to love and be hurt again. But when Troy came to her one day, with a rose and with a promise to escort her to prom, she accepted. She had to let go of Chad, their past, and welcome the thought of Troy, and their future.
