Link sighs heavily as he leads a clunking tower of metal through the halls of Hyrule Castle, followed by Link's close friend Ralph, the Princess Zelda, and several Hylian men and Moblins guarding the large, metal-clad Gerudo. The Darknut is an messenger from Ganondorf, relaying Ganondorf's message. "Listen carefully, Link," The Gerudo's raspy voice says through the helm of his armor as they walk. "Ganondorf conquers and controls everything he rests his eyes upon. He leads an army so massive it shakes the ground with it's march, so vast it drinks the rivers dry." Link rolls his eyes at this.
Moblins and Bokoblins, Link mentally laughs.
"All my King of Evil requires," The Darknut continues, "is this: a simple offering of Courage and Wisdom. A token of Hyrule's submission to the will of Ganondorf." Behind Link can sense Zelda tensing up, but Link knows Zelda knows that neither piece of the remaining Triforce will go to Ganondorf so willingly, and certainly not as a token of submission.
Who does Ganondorf think he is, anyway? Link grumbles mentally. I can single-handedly destroy his army! "Submission . . . that's a bit of a problem," Link says aloud as the group reaches a high inner courtyard, overlooking the Bomb Shop. "See, rumor has it the GORON have already turned you down," Link smirks as the Darknut stands in front of Link. Hearing this from Link, Ralph rushes forward. "And if those wrestlers and, ah," Link continues as Ralph comes along beside him, "rock-eaters, have found that kind of nerve-"
"We must remain diplomati-" Ralph says quietly to Link.
"And of course HYLIANS," Link interrupts, ". . . have their reputation to consider."
"Choose your next words carefully, Link," The Darknut warns. "They may be your last as the Hero of Time." At this, Link takes a step back and turns around. He looks upon the faces of his men, and also the civilians that have followed behind. He notices all his men are in perfect position and resists a smile. He glances as Zelda, who as usual is calm.
Shiek will be going berserk in their though, Link sigh. "Courage and Wisom," Link says aloud. Suddenly he pivots and draws the legendary Master Sword from it's sheath on his back, holding it to the Darknut's neck. Instantly his men react and heard the Moblins to the edge of the cliff with their halberds.
"Madman! You're a madman!" The Darknut exclaims, suddenly showing fear.
"Fire and Earth," Link says, nodding to the cliff. "You'll find plenty of both down there."
"No man, Gerudo or Hylian," The Darknut stammers, "No man threatens a messenger!"
"You bring the crowns and heads of conquered kings to MY city steps!" Link exclaims, remembering the bloodied crown of King Zora and the bark of the Great Deku Tree and letting his anger bubble through him. "You insult my Princess!" Link continues as Zelda once again tenses up. "You threaten my people with slavery and death!" Link barks, then laughs, "Oh, I've chosen my words CAREFULLY Gerudo. Perhaps you should have done the same."
"This is blasphemy!" The Gerudo Darknut neigh-on cries in fear. "This is madness!" Link lowers the Master Sword for a moment. He turns and looks up at Zelda's pristine face, held calm and stoic. She raises her head in confirmation, and Link sighs.
". . . Madness?" Link asks as he turns back to the Darknut. He locks eyes with his enemy, before letting his rage go full-throttle. "THIS! IS! HYRULE!" Link yells, then steps forward and unleashes a devastating Spin Attack, launching the unaware Darknut off the cliff. The Hylian men begin pushing Moblins down with the Darknut as Link turns and sheaths the Master Sword, the Bomb Shop below exploding and engulfing all thrown off the side when the Darknut hits it. Link simply puts on a satisfied smile as he walks back into the castle with his princess and Ralph.
