A/n: Hey! I know I haven't updated in FOREVER, but this is something, right? I've actually had this in mind for a while, but I've just now gotten enough to write it! Plus, I've got four of the five Ideya for both Will and Helen's story modes in NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams. (Thnx, SONiCNiGHTS12, for letting me borrow the game! You rock!! XD) Anyways, please enjoy, and review nicely (no flames, plz!)

Darkness. Nothing, but darkness. My fingers froze; my breath caught in my throat.

This couldn't be happening, could it?

A scream rang out. Some part of mind recognized it was my own, but I couldn't tell; it just didn't sound like me.

I was falling again. Falling...into a endless pit of dispair.

"I'm sorry...NiGHTS..." the words barely escape my lips, as a red glow floats away from me. I felt the awakers trying to overpower me; I was about ready to let them, for I knew my time was up now.

...Wait! There was something I needed to do first!

I opened my eyes slightly, seeing the silvery awakers covering my entire body.

...It couldn't just end like this...could it?

A figure glided into sight. It couldn't be?

"Ts-Tsuki?" I whispered, my strength leaving me faster than before.

The blonde Nightopian girl was flying down to me, tears streaking her dirt-covered face.

"Hold on!" she cried to me, "I'm coming to get you!"

Even though she was closer now, her voice sounded miles away.

/It's no use.../ I thought, wishing someone could hear, /I'm gonna wake up, and you'll be left to face them all by yourselves, and it's all because I had to 'be the hero'.../

Tsuki was much closer, now. I could make out some other details. Her clothes were torn and blood-stained, and her hair was a knotted mess. Her blue-green eyes were filled with worry.

"I can't help you anymore..." I whispered, as she caught me in mid air. She looked scared.

"No, Bella," she whispered to me, pulling an awaker off my face, "you can't leave us! We won't let you!"

"I'm sorry..." I heard faint crying, as my world slowly faded into white.
