If the world had it's adult population wiped out, what would you do?

The teens and children had no answer to that question, wanting it or not the teenagers and children were left alone, and had to face the hard truth.

They were all alone, without their loving parents and family. Same situation was for a blue haired girl, named Shinobu Maehara.

She were lurking around the streets of Kanagawa Prefecture, in the Greater Tokyo Area, Location Hinata Hotsprings, it was a more quiet area of the city.

"If i remember correctly...there is a food store around here somewhere..."she muttered to no one in particular.

Shinobu had been living in Kanagawa all her life. But she had not lived here, however, she had a friend here.

But when the virus broke out, her friend's parents had sent their daughter away, to an unknown place,it could be in Osaka, it could be anywhere.

And Shinobu quickly realized that she would never see her again. Get up and deal with it, she told herself, but it had ended in tears, and swollen eyes.

She missed her friend, a lot, and now they would never see each other again. It was painful to think about that.

Shinobu had been walking around aimlessly for 5 days now, without anywhere to go, and she knew it couldn't go on like this, but where else would she go?

She didn't know anyone special here, except 2 friends, that were no longer in the area, and could be anywhere and wiped away the tears with her sleeve.

"No room for crying! I need to find...*sniff* somewhere...to stay...mom...dad...why'd you have to leave?"

Shinobu needed a place to call home, just like everyone else did these days. Shinobu was wearing her old school uniform.

Sailor uniform design, the girl version of it, there was one for the boys too, with jacket and pants.

Shinobu had ran away from the safe place, almost everyone else had done that too, she figured it was her turn.

She surely couldn't stay there forever, and it wasn't a place she'd miss.

No adults had been allowed into the safe place, and it was equipped with food, sleeping area and TV,Dvd etc, to play with.

It was mostly there for the younger children, the older one's wasn't doing anything special, like Shinobu, who were 12 now.

"Maybe I'll go back there to gather some food, so that i wont starve, I'm sure its abandoned by now anyway, so no one will notice. "

Shinobu didn't consider herself as a child anymore, nor adult. She had to grow up now, the world was forcing her to do so.

Her mother used to say, that Shinobu never really had acted her age, and she was smart too.

Shinobu doubted there was a need for algebra in this world.

It was more about survival from day to day, she was sure the children that had ran away from the safe place, had learned that by now.

The only thing she knew for certain was that she would have to get used to this world, if she liked it or not.

But, right now, one of the few things she wanted was her stuffed animals.

Shinobu had been an only child, and the only child she could call family now, would be when she had her own children someday, when and if that day came.

She highly doubted it. She made her way, still aimlessly, as she didn't know the area all too well, through a small alley.

It was crammed with some garbage cans and more garbage.

Then she noticed some stepping stones, no, it was stairs, of stone, leading to somewhere she didn't know about, but should she dare to check it out?

She tumbled into a garbage can and fell over, garbage spilling all over the ground.

''Ouch....'' she sighed.

There was no one around, not even a cat.

Shinobu got back on her feet, and walked towards the stairs. The area widened, and she stood in front of a long stepping stairs, leading to possibly anywhere and nowhere, maybe somewhere dangerous?

"It's dangerous...but..."

Without quite noticing it, her feet began moving. There was tree's on both sides of the stairs.

The trees made it look like she was walking through a tunnel.

When she reached further up on the way, she saw an old fashioned teahouse, abandoned it looked like.

"A teahouse, in the middle of nowhere? Weird...perhaps...I should check it out, there could be people here...people who're not so friendly..." She took of her shoes outside, and placed them neatly beside each one.

The place looked empty, not that she was surprised, but she was relieved. And if there was something special at the end of the staircase, it was probably abandoned too, being in the middle of nowhere as it was.

" I wonder if there is something to eat here..."she thought out loud.

Shinobu counted around 10 tables and a small bar in the tea house. She was hungry, she hadn't eaten since yesterday.

And it was just a Daifuku she had found in a package on the street ground.

She searched the shelf's and cupboards in the teahouse, there was, to her surprise, heaps of food! Enough for a long time.

She could stay as long as she wanted, without starving at all. There was everything from soup, to water bottles, to uncooked rice, cookies, rice cookies.

Shinobu smiled to herself, "no way I'm leaving this place! It's heaven! What a bliss! I wonder if there is a bed or a futon here as well..."

She looked around, noticing a door, and went to check it out, it looked like the previous owner had ''taken the work back home''.

No futon, a real bed, simple furniture. Shinobu let herself fall down on the bed, I'm so lucky, maybe there's hope for me too?

She tucked the quilt around herself. She was so tired, and just as she had laid her head on the pillow, she fell asleep.

Shinobu dreamed about her old friend, which was called Akiko.

She had absolutely no clue about where she was, if she was okay or not, she really hoped Akiko was okay and well, wherever she was.

She missed Akiko, but there was no way they would ever see each other again, they had no clue about each' location, it was pointless.

It was a lost situation, a ''lose lose situation''.

Shinobu didn't wake up until late night. It wasn't like she wasn't able to sleep anymore that day, but she thought she heard a noise outside the bedroom, in the teahouse.

She froze, anyone could go where they wanted, and leave when they wanted, break whatever they wanted, hurt whoever they wanted.

Someone dangerous out there!? She thought. It was not a pleasant thought at all.

She didn't move an inch, in fear.

But she knew she had to check it out, she couldn't stay in the bedroom forever either. So Shinobu silent as she managed, opened the door, and looked.

There was no one there?

"But didn't I hear something?" She questioned.

"Perhaps I'm paranoid..." then, someone jumped on her, and she fell on the floor, screaming in vain.
