Author’s Note: This Voyagers! Fan fiction is a purposely written self-inserted Mary Sue. I have purposely written it just for the hell of it. Don't like it, too bad. I couldn’t resist writing this. (This fic is also being rewritten with the help of a beta-reader. I will post a new chapter as soon as I get it back from my beta-reader. A special thanks to my beta-reader for the help.)

(I changed the location to San Francisco; according to what I was able to find, there were cafes in San Francisco in 1940; they just weren't popular yet at the time.)

A special thanks to Meeno Peluce for giving me permission to use his name for this story. Thanks, "Kid."

Here’s a copy of the e-mail he sent me:

Chapter 1

Friday, October 31, 2008

Morgan was at the mailbox getting the mail when she pulled out a small package addressed to her. That’s strange; I wasn’t expecting anything. She carried the mail and the package back into the house, locked the door, and sat down on the sofa. Most of the mail was addressed to her roommate; she set that aside and only opened her own.

When she finally got to the package, she found no return address on it. I wonder what it could be. Morgan carefully opened it, not noticing the note that fell on the floor next to the sofa with her name on the front. She unfolded the tissue-paper that had been used as packing material, and her eyes widened when she recognized the battered and dented brass Omni from her favorite 80’s show: Voyagers!

She couldn’t believe it. It was identical to the one that Phineas Bogg and Olivia Dunn had used in the show. Who could have sent this to me? She took the Omni out of the box, and opened it to look at it. She noted the green light, but didn't bother to read where the Omni was set. She thought for a minute and started to turn the dials. Maybe I should set the Omni to Los Angeles, California 1963. She set the date and then closed it. Here goes nothing. Closing her eyes, she pressed the button and waited. She suddenly felt as if she were flying; opening her eyes, she saw all the colors just like in the show. Before long, she felt herself falling.

San Francisco, California, 1940

The landing dragged a grunt out of her when she made contact with the hard ground; she got up and rubbed her bruised seat. “What the heck?! That’s not what I set the Omni for,” she muttered to herself when she saw where she was. She had set the Omni to 1963; instead, she was in San Francisco in 1940. The only good news was the fact that the light was green and not red.

Morgan slipped the Omni into her pocket as she walked out of the alley where she had landed, not paying attention to where she was walking, confused that the Omni had even really worked. I must have fallen asleep, and now I’m dreaming.

“Hey watch out!”

Morgan looked up and turns her head to see a car coming at her, when strong hands grabbed and yanked her backwards; she landed on her back hard enough to knock the wind out of her.

“Hey, are you okay?” a deep voice asked her as she opened her eyes and looked up at her rescuer.

She tried to talk, but nothing would come out. She suddenly felt lightheaded, and then nothing.

Jeffrey managed to get across the street. “Bogg, that was close.”

Bogg looked at him. “Let’s get out of here.” He lifted the unconscious girl, and they walked into an alley, where he gently set the girl on the ground. They both get a good look at her.

Jeffrey looked down at her and then at Bogg. “Did you notice her clothes?”

“Yeah. They’re kind of like yours,” the older Voyager nodded. “I wonder who she could be.”

Jeffrey shrugged. “I don't know.”

The girl was tiny, shorter even than Jeffrey had been at eleven. “Well, from what I can tell, she might be around your age, kid,” Bogg remarked after a looking at her a moment.

Morgan opened her eyes and waited for them to focus. When her vision finally cleared, she saw two faces staring down at her. Recognizing Phineas Bogg and Jeffrey Jones, Morgan rubbed her eyes and then looked up at them again.

“Hey, are you okay?” Bogg asked her in that deep, sexy voice of his.

“I…” Morgan tried to form words, but once again they refused to come.

Jeffrey looked at Bogg and shrugged.

“I’m fine,” Morgan finally managed to say as she tried to stand up. Bogg gently took her arm and helped her up. “This is impossible,” she said, shaking her head.

“What is?” Jeffrey asked.

She looks up at the two of them. “This! I mean, me being here and…”

The two looked at each other and then at the small girl. “My name is Jeffrey Jones and this is Phineas Bogg.”

Morgan looked at them and was about to tell them that she knew who they were, but decided against it, instead saying only, “I’m Morgan Jacobs.” She brushed off her clothes. She could feel the Omni in her pocket, but decided not to tell them about it. Looking up at them, she waited for one of them to say something.

“Look, maybe we should go somewhere; talk, and get something to eat while we’re here,” Jeffrey suggested, looking at Morgan and then at Bogg.

A smile crossed Bogg's face. “Good idea.”

As they walked, looking for somewhere to eat, Morgan couldn’t believe that was walking with the Voyagers. She tried not to stare at them, but was hard not to. Bogg was as handsome as he’d been on the show, and Morgan once had a secret crush on the guy who had played Jeffrey.

Then she saw her reflection in a store window and stopped dead in her tracks. Instead of the thirty-four-year-old woman she was, she saw herself as she’d been at fourteen! In her shock, she let out the loudest high-pitched scream she ever had, forcing Bogg and Jeffrey to cover their ears.

Jeffrey looked at Bogg and asked him,”What is wrong with her?”

Bogg could only shrug in response.

Morgan finally stopped screaming; Jeffrey noticed that she looked about to faint again. “Bogg!” he alerted his partner, and the older Voyager caught her in his arms.

“Not again,” he groaned, and Jeffrey rolled his eyes.

“I guess food is out of the question,” the boy remarked as Bogg carried Morgan in his arms, her head resting against his chest.

They found a hotel with vacancies and got a room with two double beds; once in the room, Bogg lays Morgan on one of the beds. He noticed something bulging in her pocket and removed it. “What the hell?!” He blurted, seeing an Omni like his own. He unclipped his from his belt held the two next to each other, then opened them both and noticed that they were exactly the same. “Impossible.”

Jeffrey looked from Bogg to the Omnis to the young girl. “Okay, this is really weird.”

Bogg closed them and put his back on his belt. “You think?” he said dryly, slipping the other one back into the girl’s pocket. “Well, the first thing we have to do is find out who she is and what she has to do with us.”

Jeffrey nodded in agreement. “Okay.”

“I guess we could try to get some sleep and figure it all out in the morning,” Bogg told Jeffrey as he sat down and started pulling off his boots. That done, he grabbed a pillow and blanket and started to lie down on the floor.

Jeffrey leaned over the edge of his bed and looked at him. “You know, you can sleep in the bed with me if you want.”

A smile crossed Bogg's face. “Are you sure?”

Jeffrey smiled back. “I want you to. I mean, we both sleep on the ground enough as it is.”

Chuckling he got up from the floor and lies down next to Jeff. “Okay; better get some sleep, kid.”

Jeffrey closed his eyes as Bogg rolled onto his side, and they were both soon fast asleep.
