~Full Summary~: The trio & their leader come back to Midgar. Two friends that Avalanche thought they would never see again in this life. ~~Chapter 1: --Prologue--~~

[[somewhere deep in the snowy mountains]]

A group of 5 people, cloaked in black, traveled deeper into a dark cave. Wisps of darkened matter could be slightly seen emitting from the individuals. Up ahead, soft green light permeated the darkness, softly at first, but growing in intensity as they continued to move further into the cave. The mysterious group stopped and gathered closely together, forming a tight circle. One by one, they looked at each other, and nodded.

Four of the cloaked figures turned to look at what seemed to be the leader, cloaked not only in black, but in a dark iridescent green as well. The leader turned around and walked straight to the wall that was behind him. He stood still for a while, mumbling incoherent words every so often. The area around him suddenly started to shake violently, then everything just as quickly, went quiet. Everything was too quiet, too still, too lifeless. Even the Devil would start to fear the deadly silence.

He placed his hand on the wall and began mumbling again. The wall slowly began to pulse, almost as it was just as alive as the man touching it. Green lines appeared on the outer edge of the wall. An almost inanimate eerie hum could be heard from the blobs of dark matter. The green lines started to move, almost as if they were tracing an intricate pattern, to the center. As the lines met in the middle, the four remaining cloaked figures walked up and placed their hand on the mako-green wall and began mumbling as well. The wall seemed to grumble and moan, but then it opened. The four followed their leader into the room, the enchanted door closing behind them.

Inside the room stood four gagged and unconscious people, all of which were men. The leader nodded to his followers and then moved to the center of the room. The four walked over and kicked the prisoners awake, then dragged them to the center of the room. The four men had their hands tied behind their backs and were made to kneel on the hard ground.

The leader, who had his back turned to them, spun around and spook for the first time in a dark and rough voice, “Your souls are mine.”

[[location unknown]]

“You asked for us father?”

“Yes, come in my beautiful daughter. I see that my son is not with you. Where is he?”

“He’s on his way. He was just checking up on little brother.”

“Ah, I see. Well we shall wait for him then. Tell me, how are things between you two?”

“We are very happy together.”

“I’m so glad. You two are truly a match made in Heaven.”

“You always know how to make me blush father.”

“Of course I do. Ah, here is my handsome son.”

“Hello father.”

“Now what I am going to tell you is of most grave importance.”

“What is it father?”

“Something that troubles me greatly. A forbidden type of magic that has been hidden for eons, has been unearthed and fallen into the wrong hands.”

“I don’t remember there being any type of magic that has been forbidden.”

“Of course you don’t my son. This type of magic dates back to the beginning of time. It dates back to the founding blocks of the Ancients.”

“Father, then why didn’t I know about this type of magic?”

“My beautiful daughter, the reason why you didn’t learn about this magic is because it is only passed down by word. This magic became the father of the Forbidden Four... are you even paying attention my son?”

“What? Huh?”

“Tell me what the Forbidden Four consists of.”

“Umm... one, two, three, and four?”

“No.”

“Lust, Greed, Envy, and Hatred. These are what the Forbidden Four consist of.”

“Very good my daughter. Can you now tell me what type of magic the Forbidden Four is?”

“Yes father. The Forbidden Four was made from the purest and rawest form of dark magic. The Evil One took this dark magic and shaped it into the materia that is now known as the father of the Forbidden Four.”

“Show off.”

“It will do you good next time to listen to my lessons, my son. My daughter, put that tongue back in your mouth. This is no time to be joking around.”

“Sorry father. Continue with what you were saying.”

“Someone has found the father of the Forbidden Four, the materia Life. They have brought back the trio and their leader. The planet is in danger again. With the circumstances the way they are, the only solution is to have...”

“The solution is to have little brother take care of it.”

“Once again you are wrong my son. Like I was saying, with the way things are at the moment, the circumstances are different. This time, little brother is going to need help to save the world again.”

“Who or what is going to help him?”

“The flower girl and the soldier are going to help him.”

“What?! Are you serious?”

“Yes my son, I am.”

“WooHoo!”

“When do you want us to leave, father?”

“You are leaving right now. Godspeed my son and daughter.”
