Chapter Fifteen:

"What do you mean? She's there-there?" Dean asks with his voice all pitched and breathing ragged with worry and concern in reference to Amy Crenshaw's presence in Greenfield where his brother is at himself. The look on his face alone and his body language were more than enough for Sam who was across the room from him, to read for him to tell than his big brother was upset. And thanks to his ability to lip-read, he knows of the reason why. Amy was there, where Nate is.

The kid immediately felt his heart rate rise to that; his hand reached up to his chest to nurse it. There was a sharp stab all of a sudden to his heart as he sat there, observing. He wanted to scream at the excruciating pain in there, but he made every concerted effort to be subtle about it. Far be it from him to cause more worry and concern for his brothers; not when things are already looking really bad at Nate's end at the moment. And what with him being too far where he is, Sam knows his brothers needed focus in order to apply the right solution to the problem concerning Amy's resurrection in their brothers lives, namely the older triplets set--Kel, Pierce and Nate.

Looking at his Deanie, seeing that look on his face--and turning to 2/3rd of the triplets sitting on either side of him on his bed talking to each other across him also wearing the same look and factoring in the result of the lip-reading he did just then, the kid resorted instead to take himself out of the equation of being the one causing the concern for once, even for just this one time. He may have succeeded in the first few minutes in not alerting any of his brothers regarding the problem within him, but he was not counting on the blood trickling down his nose posed that could easily pose as a threat to the secrecy somehow.

As Jake was about to turn his head towards Sam, had he done so seconds earlier, he would have easily caught the blood on his little brother's face. Unfortunately though, when he did turn he only caught the tail end of the younger kid rolling to his side and giving his back to him instead. The littlest Winchester even managed to pull his blanket over his head to fully cover his face altogether.

Just as Sam intended, he was able to successfully provide concealment of the bleeding. Jake touched the kid on the back side and gave him a little shake. "Baby, you sleepy?"

"A little."

"You tired too?"

"Not really, but my eyes are involuntary closing on me." Sam says, "So I guess I'll just rest them a bit, Jake. If you guys don't mind." he added softly from under the blanket.

"Oh--okay." Jake says, his eyes catches Gabe's as he was gently at the same time, rubbing his baby twin's side of the leg for connection. They both nod at each other. "You sure there's nothing else the matter with you though?"

"I'm okay, Jakey. Really." Sam says with a flinch. He was curling up under there in pain but he manages to keep his tone steady.

"You maybe want us to go for awhile, Sam?"

Sam grimaced under the blanket shield he has made for himself before managing a,"Yes, please...but only if it's okay..."

"Sure, baby. It's no problem." Jake says. "Let's go, Gabe."

"Okay." Gabe nods again.

"I love you, Sam." Jake says and after giving Sam a kiss on the forehead over the blanket next, rose from the bed with Gabe following him, who gave Sam a light pat on the arm before he got up himself. They gave Dean a nod and a general tip of their heads towards the direction of the door telling him basically that they were leaving. The older boy stops talking on the phone for a second to ask them if Sam was asleep.

"Yeah." Jake says, "Well about to anyways."

Dean nods to this and then the two younger boys left; with the middle brother's eyes panning over to the bed---to Sam under the blanket. He resumes to talking to Sonja on the phone. He had to he cut the call on Nate earlier to get Sonja up to speed; and they are just wrapping up the conversation as well.

"I'll be there to bring him back, Dean." Sonja says, "But we have one problem though."

"What is it?"

"Isn't Natey with company at the moment? Should I pop up in front of them---how's that gonna work for both parties involved though?" Sonja says, "I mean, what if they are goons like you guys are--packing heat like you all do--with the exception of the babies? And they pop me?"

"Trust me, you'll be fine." Dean says smugly and confidently, grounding Sonja with both hands on her shoulders. "And besides, you're a witch. Just blink or something--or twitch your nose." he even points at his own nose for emphasis.

"I don't do any of those, Dean."

"Really, Sonja?" Dean says indignantly. "We're gonna do this now? We are wasting precious time, lady. Nate could have been in and out of here twice already---"

"Alright, alright!" Sonja barked with a pout. And then she ported out of there. Dean, after she left got Jake on the phone.

KKKKKKKKKKRRRRRRTTTTTT

Jake and Gabe were lounging poolside when he felt his phone ring inside his shirt right chest pocket. He quickly fumbles for it; not taking the time to read the screen anymore, the kid just takes it right away.

"Hello--"

"Jake---"

"Yeah, Dean?"

"Sonja's getting our boy back herself."

"I thought Ted and the guys were gonna do that themselves, Dean?"

"We have more problem coming up from back there, kiddo. We don't have time to wait for them to get there." Dean says.

"What could be worse than Nick Peterson showing up there?"

"Mommy dearest." Dean says with disgust.

"Deng!" Jake spat, he and Gabe are on their way to the stairs to head downstairs. "Me and Gabe are on it, Dean!"

-----------

Eloise, Fritz and Tris with B and Henry are already pulling out of the driveway when Jake bolts out of the front door with Gabe; waving frantically at the older boys' that are almost out of there altogether. It took Fritz tapping the Winchester boy on the arm and pointing the kids out to him or he'd have missed seeing them.

They all pull over respectively to the side of the street. Eloise rolls the window down and waited for Jake and Gabe to be both at his side of the vehicle--heaving like crazy.

"What's wrong?" Eloise asks, taking Jake by the wrist to pull him closer to the Porsche and away from the middle of the street. In return, Jake grabs Gabe with him.

"Ted, Sonja's already got it covered." Jake says in between catching his breath, much as Gabe was doing beside him. "Dean asked me to call you and tell you that. So you guys don't have to leave anymore." he added--and then he smiled. "The second Nate gets here in like a few, and with Dean's guys back to our side and your guys always loyal and stuff, we're gonna be together again, big brother! All of us! One big happy family!"

Eloise can't help but smile to that genuine happy reaction from the kid. He reaches his hand out of the car and caught the kid by the nape--giving it a squeeze. The Lee boy riding shotgun was sharing the same sentiment as the brothers as he sat there watching them.

"Are you crying, Fritz?" Gabe asks of Fritz's watery pair, ducking his head in Eloise's window.

"Something caught in my eye." Fritz defended, turning his face away awkwardly.

"Tears?" Gabe says which made Jake and Eloise snigger; that's when the Backer boy decided to ignore the kid and get out of the vehicle.

"I'll just check on Ace, man." he says to Eloise before he got out altogether. He thought he'd have gotten away from the Stahl boy just then, only he finds himself with Gabe in front of him when he got out and walked to the back of the porsche. "Whaaat?" he whines indignantly, "I wasn't crying you little creature!"

"I know!" Gabe replies. "I just wanted to know what's taking them to get back here." Gabe says, "Jay's with them."

Fritz eyes him suspiciously for a second before he eventually lets go of the breath he was holding in; Gabe's innocent round blue eyes on his face --was just too much for the Lee boy to handle.

"The things you could make a guy do!" he says of Gabe's disarming adorableness as he started punching on Ace's number on his cell. It only takes a couple of rings before it got answered.

"Yeah, Fritzy girl, "Ace greets, "missing me already?"

"What the bloody hell is taking you blokes back there?" the Lee boy spat,"The golden boy's already hauled his ass home but you're still out there!" he says of Dean.

"We're on our way, alright?" Ace replies, "So, did anything else happen back there?"

"Like that is gonna surprise you any?"

"No really." Ace says.

"Ask him about Jay, please?" Gabe whispers, tugging on Fritz's sleeve. Ace hears him though.

"The little hamster's missing his big brother, huh?" he says, tossing Jeremy on the backseat, a glance.

------------

JW would have taken the dad role more seriously by taking care of the movers and everything else that is related to it--which would wrap up the move altogether, only after getting a doze of the double d's convincing prowess--more or less bullying, he was left with no other choice but to step back, oblige and have the pretend twins take care of the little situation downstairs. He was then directed to his office to talk to Nathan who had just arrived with the help of Sonja Davies. Eloise was there as well, with Kel. They have somehow decided to discuss matters amongst themselves first and then later on with the rest of the troop, regarding Amy and Nick who had unfortunately just gotten a whiff of Nathan's existence somehow.

Dean, out of the great deal of affection he has for the boy--his double d counterpart, being Pierce, after Nathan got there moments earlier and was immediately taken to their old man's office by Eloise with Kel; he took it upon himself to talk their big brother and dad out of having the middle triplet be in the same room during the talk. He knows Pierce well enough already. The breakdown his brother did the last time after his secret involving Nick was revealed, that was one time too many for him. He didn't want to subject Pierce to that again. His brothers and their old man, after Dean got them aside to explain his side about taking said brother in particular and keeping him busy while the talked happened, they could not help but admire the middle brother even more for it.

"He can't be there. I won't allow it." Dean had said earlier. "I'll talk to him myself. I will."

"Dean, Danny already knows why Nate is back here, man. It has to do with Amy and Nick." Eloise says. "There is no point keeping the talk away from him--"

"I know what I'm doing, Ted!" Dean fiercely whispers, "I'm not an idiot! Just trust me on this!"

"Squirt, what do you think he'll be thinking while we're all in there talking with dad?"

"I said I'll handle it--"

"Dea--"

"I'll keep him distracted, alright? After you've all kept Nate up to speed, I'll talk to Danny about it."

"Why can't dad do that?"

"You kidding me?"

Eloise looks at him sheepishly and then scratched his head. "Owkhay so maybe dad is not a good idea, but why can't Kel? Or me? I'm the oldest? You already got dibs on Sam, Dean! Don't you think it's just fair I get Danny this time?"

"No. I get dibs on Danny--on everybody."

"Who can I have dibs on then huh? Dean?"

"Me."

"Really?"

"Sure."

"What about Sam?"

"Sure he gets dibs on me too, but I allow you." Dean says, clapping his big brother on the forearm. "You're my big brother after all, man!"

"You're serious?"

"Scout's honor!" Dean says. "Just give me this one with Danny-boy, Ted. I know what I'm doing."

Eloise holds his middle brother's gaze for awhile and then he nodded.

"Alright. You cover this."

----------------

After making sure Sam was sleeping on the bed, and after making Jake and Gabe promise him they will watch over Sam while he was needed downstairs, Dean allowed himself to be extracted from the kid's side. He didn't really want to leave Sam at all, but since he knows he needed to do his job being the second in command--Eloise's wing man, he finds himself downstairs moments later. He and Pierce are standing beside each other at the doorway of the front of the mansion waiting for one of the movers to give them some paperwork for their old man to sign. The middle brother's eyes land on the guy's name knitted onto the right pocket of his over-alls. Out of boredom, since the guy was taking too long with what he was doing---getting lost in there at the moment, paperwork in his arms, face buried in it, that Dean just had to do something; otherwise he'd have swung the fist or slug him. But since he knew he would be a total disappointment to his little brother if he did that, and not to mention his entire family; he resorted to mess with the guy's name instead; which is more or less harmless--in a way.

After seeing the guy's name, clearing his throat next--he starts talking.

"So Jensen, huh?" he says, referring to the mover guy's name. The guy looks up and met his eyes for a few seconds; after giving out a distracted nod, he goes back to digging his face onto the paperwork in his arms. Pierce, unlike the guy fixed his eyes on his brother. "Did you know that I wanted to be Jensen once?" Dean says to his double d counterpart, even pumping his brows on his forehead playfully.

"Jensen too, huh?" Pierce scoffs which was too subtle he successfully masked it from his brother.

"Mmhm." Dean nods, "Jensen Thomas Winchester."

"Right." Pierce says, " So Dean---"

"Yeah?"

"---like how many names were there, man?"

"What you mean?"

"There was a time that you wanted my name once, I remember that." Pierce pointed out.

"Oh yeah, I just watched a James Bond flick that time. After that, I wanted to be Pierce. That's right, as lame as your name is...I wanted it. But got stuck with Dean." Dean says, "Then this other time---I wanted Nate's name next. I'm sure you remember that too?"

"I do."

"Then this guy's name came up one time or the other back when I was in my teens. It was just one time." he says of the mover guy's name. "I always thought Jensen sounded lovely."

"Thanks, I guess." Jensen says, not so sure of how to react at the moment. Pierce caught the guy grimace to that about his name but said nothing.

"Lovely, huh?" Pierce scoffs as he turns to his brother. "You wanted a lovely sounding name, Dean? That doesn't sound like you at all."

Dean slaps him on the chest with the back of his hand for that. "Oh and there's that other one time that I wanted to be Megatron." he says with a big handsome grin plastered his face patronizing face.

"Seriously?" Pierce asks cheerfully to which Dean turns to him looking all judgingly as he was giving him the stink eye. He doesn't even bother to respond to his brother verbally, but he does so with pursed cheeks making the younger Winchester boy turn all embarrass in the face in front of a total stranger just then as he followed his double d counterpart with his eyes as Dean left his side to head to the kitchen for something.

"See what I put up with?" he says to the mover guy.

"Yeah, I know what you mean." the guys says, "Big brother?" he asks, tipping his head towards Dean's direction while his eyes go back to the documents he was busy with.

"We're the double d's." Pierce says proudly.

"Twins?"

"Uh---yeah." he says.

"Fraternal, huh?" Jensen says, "I have a twin too. Identical." he says, without looking up. "This is actually his gig."

"You're kidding?"

"Nope." he looks up,"Why do you think I'm taking this long to get these papers signed, man?" he sniggers mischievously, "I have no idea what I'm even doing."

Pierce could just listen to the guy's compelling story with the eagerness of a beaver.

"I'm actually getting back at him for showing up at my job two weeks ago at the auto shop. He has no idea about cars or detailing--but he just decided one day to be me!"

"He didn't?"

"He sure did, my friend." Jensen says, "There was this big guy who happens to also be a friend of mine, and he has this bitchin' ride dude, a camaro. And he wanted to have it repainted bloody red, right?"

"Yeah, and then what happened?"

"And then my twin shows up for work that day as me--and painted the car pink! PINK, dude!"

Pierce laughs out loud to that, shaking his head in amusement alongside the mover guy; like they were close buddies for a long time.

"So, what are you trying to do to get back at him actually?" Pierce asks, "Cause screwing up with his job by screwing my family is so not a good idea, man."

Jensen regards him, "It's not, huh?"

"Nope."

Dean who was listening to them behind a wall obstructing his presence can't help but smirk in amusement at the conversation going on. He cannot help but feel grateful to this stranger who was somehow doing the 'distracting' for him. As he eavesdropped there, he was bloating himself with all the soda he can drink.

"Well then, I guess I'll just go screw with the next clients then, what do you say?" Jensen says.

"That's an idea! I'll even help you!"

"Get out?" he spat incredulously at Pierce.

"This is my house, dude." Pierce replies with a laugh, "But seriously, I'll help."

"I didn't get your name?"

Pierce offers his hand, "Danny."

They shook on it. "You already know my tag." the other boy says.

"Actually no I do not."

"Oh, right--" the guy smirks, reading his brother's name on the overall pocket, "--Jared. That's the name I got stuck with." he says to introduce himself as he looks up. "And here, I need for your old man to sign there for me, man." he hands Pierce the documents.

'Hm, Jared?' Dean thought, 'I wanted to be Jared once...' he says to himself and he would have went on and on about all the other names he wanted to be known as growing up--but then Pierce's voice pops his mental bantering with himself when he called for him. He gets out of his hiding place and met his brother halfway. "He asked you out yet? Your little new boyfriend?" he teases, dipping his head to the direction of the mover guy on the doorway. "Does Sonja know about this?" he nudged Pierce playfully on the side. "Cause I'm telling if she doesn't!"

"Very mature, dude." Pierce brushes his brother off, "We need for dad to sign these." he says of the papers on hand.

"I'll sign them." Dean volunteers.

"Are you John Winchester?"

"Hey, I wanted to be John one time, does that help?" Dean says, reaching for the papers but Pierce moves them out of his reach as he heads for their dad's office down the hallway. Dean groans to this. He immediately darts after his brother and spun him around towards the door again. "Dean--dad has to sign these for documentation purposes. What's the matter with you?"

"I'll get dad to sign it."

"It's okay, I can do it."

It takes them two rounds of the tug of war before Pierce just popped a fuse.

"Dean, would you stop?" he spat angrily. "JUST STOP IT, ALRIGHT? Don't think for one second I can't see what this is? What you're trying to do--- I know what you are trying to do, alright?"he says agitatedly.

"Oh yeah?"

"I do, Dean!" Pierce spat, "I'm not an idiot you know?"

"Who says you were anyways?"

"You are!" Pierce spat, "I should be in there, man! WE should be in there but noooo, you had to talk to everybody about leaving me out of it! You want to keep me out of 'the talk' they are having at the office--keep me in the dark! But guess what genius! I'm not in the dark! I KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT IN THERE! So this---" making vague gestures with his arms in front of him for emphasis, "---your attempt to keep me out of it? IS FREAKIN' USELESS!"

After one glare from Dean over his brother's shoulder, the mover guy at the doorway got the cue to leave.

The brothers stood in front of each other in silence for minutes before Pierce tried walking around his brother again, but Dean grabs him by the arm this time and pulls him back in front of him. The younger of the two pulls his arm away and shoves the smaller one. But being Dean he relentlessly stood his ground. He keeps Pierce in place.

"STOP BULLYING ME AROUND!!!" Pierce yelled frustratedly, "Get out of my way, Dean---or so help me!"

Dean doesn't budge. Pierce tried walking around him again, but his brother just grabs him again--away from the hallway leading to their dad's office.

"Why do they even have to come back, Dean, huh?" Pierce says--calmer this time, but he is crying big fat tears. "Why do they have to come back---they just ruin things...that's what they do. Ever since I was a kid that's what they keep doing---my old lady...and that bastard..."

"Dan--"

"Nate didn't know about I went through...but now he does too. Just like Kel. Like everybody else. You all know about Danny's dirty little secret and it sucks, dude. It hurts." Pierce says in anguish, "How can I face him, Dean? Nate...I'm scared to face him now. I mean, it was really hell for me the last time after Ted found out----and after you and baby knew about it..." he says dejectedly, "This is really, Dean. I just want to forget, man. I just want to forget---"

Dean fists a mile of Pierce's scruff and would have initiated grabbing the younger boy in an embrace, only Pierce beats him to it. He almost took them both down when he darts at the middle brother and fell on the crook of Dean's neck sobbing.
