Tell me what you guys think about this. It’s my first full-length Hannah Montana story, so I don’t know how it’s going to turn out.

Introduction

I stepped out of the car and inhaled the fresh Tennessee air. My family was finally moving back from Malibu. The two weeks I had recently spent in Tennessee made me realize how much I missed it. I had decided to give up being Hannah Montana for at least a little while. I could perform once in a while locally, but I needed to take a break from the major concerts and tours. ‘Hannah’ had told everyone that she was taking a break (but I didn’t say where I was going).

When we went back to California after the two weeks were over, my dad left our farm in the care of my Grandma. Only a few weeks after we got back to Malibu, the house caught on fire and burned down. Thankfully, Grandma and the animals were ok. All the neighbors had worked together to design and build a new home for us- one that was apparently filled with ‘surprises’. They refused to tell us anything else about it… I decided I’d just have to wait and find out exactly what these ‘surprises’ were.

“It looks nice,” I commented, taking in the view of the house. It was a large white house with green shutters and a wraparound porch.

“Yep,” my dad agreed. We stood there for a few seconds longer before he started getting our suitcases from the trunk. The rest of our belongings were in the moving vans, which would take a few more days to arrive. “Let’s go,” he said. Jackson and I followed him into the house.

I looked around as I stepped through the doorway. There was a huge chandelier hanging over the front entry. As my eyes scanned over the rest of the house, I noticed that it was smaller than it had seemed from outside.

“Welcome home!” Grandma greeted us with open arms and a smile. We took our turns giving her hugs. “How was your trip?”

“Long,” Jackson replied. “Driving more than halfway across the country…”

“I can imagine,” Granma said, shaking her head.

“The house is really nice,” Dad said.

“Oh, I’m glad you like it. Everyone worked so hard on it,” she said.

“So, where’s my room?” I asked, anxious to unload my heavy suitcases and get settled in.

“Upstairs all the way at the end of the hall,” she answered. “It’s on the right.”

I started up the stairs and got halfway up before Grandma stopped me.

“Oh, and Miley,” she called. I turned to look at her. “Your friends are coming over tonight.”

“Cool, thanks!” I smiled. I continued on to my room.

It’s good to be home.

So what do you think? Should I continue? I promise it’ll get more interesting if I do- the first chapter is always boring in my stories. Anyway, please leave a review! Even if it’s just one word!
