My English teacher gave us a haiku assignment (spelled ‘Haiku’s Assignment’, of course. God, they grade us harshly and don’t even bother to correct the most obvious mistake on the page! I mean, come on! It was written in bolded 18pt. font! How hard is that to find and correct?!?) to write three haiku during class. (What, does she think we’re in kindergarten or something? I was writing five haiku a class in first grade!) And by the time class was done, I’d written twenty-three. (The three I didn’t include are on general topics…music, the economic recession, and a random book.)
