A/N: Here is my first InuYasha/Twilight Xover! I have to say that I hope that you all like it. If anyone has seen the trailer for the New Moon movie, then I have to comment that though the first wasn’t the best…the second one looks like it is going to be the shit! XD Seriously, I predicted everyone that was going to win. Everything with Twilight was won by Twilight except for the Best Movie music, which had my favorite song “Decode” by Paramore nominated! The winner of that category pissed me off! Miley Cyrus won! Miley Fuckin’ Cyrus! The song she sang was nice, but “Decode” beats her damn song into dust! Anyway, I hope that you all enjoy this.

Summary: While at the beach, Bella Swan meets a mysterious young woman whom she finds out just moved to Forks from Japan. Despite the fact that she has such a beautiful smile, her eyes are very sad reminding her of her ex-boyfriend Edward Cullen. On the first day she attends Forks High School, she saves Bella from a rouge vampire sent to kill her shocking the wolves of La Push and the Cullens. What exactly is this young woman, and is she a friend or foe? And why does Edward have this strange urge to protect this shattered female warrior?

Chapter 1: Kagome Higurashi, the New Inhabitant of Forks

The waves of La Push were harsh, and many people were on the beach waiting for them to come down a little. One particular group was waiting impatiently along with some inhabitants of the reservation on their present location. Bella Swan, the once new and yet still popular girl sat down with soda with a sigh. Ever since she had broken it off with her ex-boyfriend Edward Cullen, she had been coming here to La Push more frequently. She had begun hanging out more with her childhood friend Jacob Black, a resident of the La Push reservation.

Running a hand through her brown hair, she turned her eyes towards the water. The pale girl could only hope that the water calmed a bit sooner. Mike Newton’s advances towards her were getting really annoying. At least the other boys had settled for being friends with her, but that was not the same thing to be said about the blonde boy. “So Bella…you and Jacob seem to have gotten close.”

Glancing over at Lauren Mallory, she almost rolled her eyes at the hostile looks the girl was giving her. Really, Bella couldn’t understand what her problem was. “Come on Lauren, leave Bella alone.” Chuckling Bella on the shoulder, Tyler Crowley grinned at the aforementioned girl. “Don’t worry about Lauren…she has been having a bad day.”

Snorting mentally, she saw that Lauren seemed to be even more enraged by Tyler’s hand on her shoulder. Deciding to stop anything from happening, she gently brushed the boy’s hand from her shoulder. “It’s alright, I am not offended…Jacob and I are just childhood friends.” Looking over at Jacob with a pleading look, the Indian boy agreed to the statement though he had a sad gleam in his eyes. Raising an eyebrow questioningly, she wondered why he was sad about that statement.

Clearing her throat, Jessica Stanley had a secretive smile on her face. Brushing her dark curly hair away from her face, she was leaning forward with her elbows on her knees. Resting her chin on her palms, she tilted her head. “So have you all heard about the new student that would be coming in on Monday?” Triumph appeared in her eyes as everyone’s attention was on.

Eric Yorkie, a reporter for the school newspaper was instantly interested. He had found the newest scoop, and he was going to get all the information. “A new student you say? Boy or girl?” Grinning Jessica answered back with a smug expression, “It is a girl, and I heard that she moved here about a week ago alone from Japan!” Surprise was on everyone’s faces as they contemplated this info.

“I wonder why she would move here of all places.” Tyler commented, and he shrugged. “Oh well, it is a win for us!”

The scowl on Lauren’s face deepened and Bella couldn’t help but feel sorry for the girl. She had gained an enemy before she even set foot into Forks. Angela had a concerned look and commented that she hoped nothing bad happened to her. Bella couldn’t help but give the shy girl a fond look. She really was truly a wonderful person. Jacob coming out of his thoughts at their words seemed to have a look of recognition.

“Are you guys talking about Kagome Higurashi?”

All eyes were on Jacob, surprising him at the sudden silence.

“You know her Black?”

Looking over at Mike, he saw the jealousy in the boy’s eyes and couldn’t help but scoff. “Yeah, I had met her last week when she first moved here…she lives near here actually, but right outside the border of La Push.” Immediately certain questions were thrown his way, how she looked like? How tall was she? Superficial questions really, and Bella slapped her forehead in frustration.

She really wondered sometimes why she hung out with them (excluding Angela). Chuckling, the short-haired boy held his hands up to halt the questions. “If you guys want an answer to your questions then…” For a second he looked out into the water, and his face then brightened. “Ah…there she is.”

Pointing towards the water, Bella turned in the direction he was pointing and couldn’t help her eyes widening in shock. He couldn’t possible mean that the girl was surfing. Gazing out onto the water, Bella’s brown eyes were wide as she saw the lone surfer. The others also made sounds of surprise, and some looked concerned. But that was mostly the guys and Angela.

The girl from what they saw had really long black hair, and she was as tanned but a lighter shade than Jacob and the others on the reservation. ‘Obviously she gets a lot of sun!’ She was riding the waves on a black surfboard that was outlined with shocking blue. With fluid grace, she then swooped down over the side of the wave under the top. Using her hand, she dragged it across the wall of the wave all the way out of it. “THAT IS SO COOL!”

Bella’s eyes fell down the slight cliff onto the sand to see some of Jacob’s friends. The youngest one in the group, whom made the comment, had a look of pure awe on his face. Peering over at the others with her, she saw that they too were really impressed. And the looks on their faces, automatically told her that they would try to befriend her.

‘Well at least the guys won’t be bothering me as much anymore…’

“Kagome-hime!”

Everyone’s attention was back on the girl as she crouched down, and smoothly escaped the caving in wave. Straddling her board, she allowed the current to push her towards the shore. Jacob whom was standing next to her, laughed as he watched the boy from before race to the shore to greet her. “I can introduce you to her if you would like.” Of course this was directed more towards Bella, then any of them.

Interest was clear in Bella’s eyes, as she watched the girl get closer to shore. Once she reached the shore, a gasp escaped everyone as she stepped onto the sand. The girl was extremely beautiful. She was from Asian descent like Eric, but she wasn’t anything like the average Asian girl.

Along with her tanned skin, her body was very shapely. She had double D-cup breasts, child-bearing hips, and legs that could go for miles. On her body was a wet black bikini that clung to her body like a second skin making all the males on the beach drool, which resulted in many of them being slapped in the heads if they had girlfriends. Around her right ankle was the band that was connected with the board. Running her fingers through her soaked hair, her bright two-colored eyes fell on the boy ahead of her waiting with a towel.

Grabbing her board, she stalked over with a natural sway of her hips. Many eyes were on her body, and she didn’t seem to mind. “Seth? Did you wait here this entire time?” Blushing deeply, everyone watched as he chuckled while scratching the back of his head nervously. Laughing softly, Kagome patted his head with amusement.

“You know you’re a good kid.”

With that Jacob turned and looked at Bella. “Would you like to meet her?”

Nodding, Bella followed after the tall teenager down towards the others from the reservation. The new girl walked with ‘Seth’ towards the others, where a certain young man seemed to lean forward while flirting with her. The boy standing next to her was sending the aforementioned guy with a glare, that Bella was sure if it could kill the guy would be six feet under. Suddenly, she turned from the others and looked over at Jacob with a warm smile.

“Hey Jacob, how’ve you been?”

Laughing, Jacob grinned widely and he then looked towards Bella. The latter noticed that Kagome’s smile seemed to slip a little as he eyes fell on her. “This is my friend Bella, she attends Forks High School.” Her green and blue eyes warmed a little, and a smile was back on her face. Standing straight, the extremely attractive female held out her hand to Bella.

“Hello Bella, my name is Kagome Higurashi…but you can just call me Kagome.”

While she shook her hand, she couldn’t help but admire her pretty eyes. Noticing the questioning looks from those around them, and ignoring the comment that she must be a lesbian (which earned the commenter a slap to the head from the female that usually hung around Jacob). “I think that your eyes are really pretty.” In surprise, she brought up a hand to cover her green eye with a small smile. “Thank you, people just usually say it’s weird.”

Bella herself couldn’t understand why anyone would feel this way, after all her eyes were very beautiful. Suddenly a beeping sound cut through the silence, and Kagome cursed softly. Looking down at her water-proof watch, she turned off the alarm and looked at them. “Sorry but I am going to have to get home, I am expecting a call from my guardian.” After saying her good byes, she turned and looked at Bella.

“I hope that I see you in school.”

With that she wrapped her towel around her waist, pulled her board out of the sand and made her way to the parking lot. Everyone watched as she laid her towel on the back seat, and then placed her board down on it. Closing the doors, she got into the front seat and started the ignition. Pulling out of the parking lot, she sped down the road and waved back at them from the reflection in her rear-view mirror. Thinking about the conversation she was going to have with her guardian, whom was also her adoptive older brother, she wondered why she had this feeling that the Bella girl was going to bring a lot of strange things into her life.

After her trips into the feudal era, she had come home ready to live out the rest of her days in boredom. She had attended the rest of her junior high days, and then her freshmen year. Then one day when she was walking through Tokyo after school, she accidentally walked into Sesshoumaru, whom was now the richest businessman in Japan. Catching up after coffee, Kagome was surprised to find out that not only was Kouga was still alive, but her adoptive son Shippo as well. They both worked for Sesshoumaru, as other demons did as well.

Getting a part-time job as Sesshoumaru’s assistant (not that he needed her as he was a perfectionist); she made a lot of money for herself and soon after many teachings of business by the killing perfection himself. Kagome was declared as his heiress to the company, and since then she has slowly been doing important work for the company. Things seemed to be going great, and then her whole family was taken hostage. Having the family of a richest man’s heiress hostage, seemed to be the easiest way to gain money to the kidnappers. Of course, they were found but unfortunately they had killed her mother and grandfather.

They even killed Buyo when they kidnapped everyone.

Souta was the only survivor, and he was staying with some of their relatives in Osaka.

With everything that happened, Kagome couldn’t bare to be in Japan. Sesshoumaru seeing the anguish she was in, sent her here to Forks to recover and for protection. Kagome wasn’t complaining and after saying goodbye to her brother, and her other beloved friends she left to the United States. The former Lord of the Western Lands had picked on a town that no one would ever think to look for an heiress. Looking out her windows, she gazed contently at all the trees.

The landscape here reminded her much of the Feudal Era, and the area around the shrine. Gripping the steering wheel, she brought her other hand to lie above her heart. It still brought her pain to think about what had happened, not to mention she blamed herself for her family’s murder. When she arrived in Forks, she was instantly annoyed by all the people who were trying to stick their noses into her business. But she could slightly understand, as this was most likely a town where everyone was up everybody else’s butts.

Unfortunately, she didn’t like that and would tell them if they tried.

After she went to the local Grocery store, she met Billy Black and instantly liked the older male seconds within meeting him. She couldn’t help but think kindly of him as he didn’t try to pry into her life, like several others had done since she entered the town. Then she was invited down to La Push for dinner after helping him, and that was when she met Jacob Black. Jacob was a year younger than her, but he was very handsome.

He was still growing into his body, but it was his personality that drew her in. The Indian boy could make her laugh when she was sure, that she would never laugh sincerely again. She would admit that she had a little crush on the boy, but from what she had seen today…it was a lost cause. Jacob seemed to really like this Bella girl, and so to save herself the heartache, Kagome would try to transform her liking of him in a romantic fashion to one of friends or siblings. With her experience with InuYasha and Kikyo, she knew that nothing good would come from a love triangle.

“I really don’t need any drama in my life right now…just some peace and quiet.”

Pulling into her driveway, she turned off the car and stepped out, and grabbed her surfboard. Wrapping the towel around her waist with one hand, she walked up the four stairs and opened the door. Placing her keys on the small table near the door, she sighed as she closed the door. Everything was as she left it, and there wasn’t a trace of any presence being in her house since she left. Though she was assured by Sesshoumaru that she was safe, she couldn’t help but be cautious.

She wasn’t going to allow herself to be killed because of carelessness.

Walking over to her phone, there was one message on her phone. Pressing the button for the answering machine and a familiar deep voice filtered into her ears. “Miko, I have sent some more files to your inbox…things have been going well, and your brother has been doing fine as well…I have been having Shippo check up on him since he is in charge of the Osaka branch.” A loving smile formed on her lips as she thought about her little brother, and her adoptive son. “We wont be able to talk today cause I have to go to an important meeting in a few moments, but I hope that you are doing well because you are my heiress…also make sure that you are doing perfectly in all your classes, I expect nothing but the best from you.”

Once that was said the message ended, and a smirk appeared on Kagome’s face. Shaking her head, she pulled the strings on the back of her bikini top. Letting it fall, as she walked into her bathroom. Pulling the bottoms off, she stepped up into the bathtub. The top was already filled with hot water, the scent of strawberries and vanilla was strong.

Lying back in the water, she began to soap up and then just let herself soak away the aches in her body. Tracing her fingers through her silky tresses, Kagome looked up towards the ceiling. Something was telling her that she had better enjoy this peace, because something was going to happen. And it most likely concerned that Bella girl. Smirking, a glint of challenge appeared in her eyes, as she sat up in the tub.

Blame it on her time in the Feudal Era, but she had a love of excitement.

‘Bring it.’

Beep! Beep! Beep!

Groaning at the sound, Kagome reached an arm from up under the comforter and pressed the snooze button. Rolling out of her bed, she stepped out onto the carpet and made her way over to the closet. Opening it, she looked in and chose a pair of black slightly baggy jeans that would hang off her hips. Also she chose a white tank top that reached right above her belly button, and a dark blue vest that would adorn her upper body. Taking a quick shower, she got dressed and decided to stop at the McDonalds.

‘Mmmm…a McGriddle!’

The Shikon Miko had become addicted to the little things since she arrived here in the States. McGriddles in her opinion was a gift from the gods to humanity. Going through the drive-through, she got herself two bags of McGriddles and put them in the seat next to her. Placing some of her power into one of the bags, she knew that it would keep the tasty pancake breakfast sandwiches hot for lunch. Pulling out on of the McGriddles, she munched into it with happiness and shivered in pleasure from the taste.

‘I swear that I could live off of these things, but I know that Sesshoumaru wouldn’t approve.’

Driving the full thirty minutes to the school, she finished the first bag and placed the second in her small black backpack. Stepping out of the car in her white and black VANS, she grabbed her bag and made her way to the office. It really didn’t look like a school to her, just a bunch of houses put together to create a school. Kagome was sure that if she didn’t see the sign saying ‘Forks High School’, then she would have driven right by the building. Entering the office, the first thing she saw was a slightly plump red-haired lady behind the desk.

As soon as she stepped in the woman looked up and smiled at her widely. It seems that this woman knew who she was. “Kagome Higurashi?” Raising an eyebrow questioningly, Kagome nodded and excitement lit up in the woman’s brown eyes. “Yes, I am here for my schedule…”

Nodding, the woman looked around her desk before she lifted up a piece of paper.

“Here you go Kagome dear, do you think you will need help around school?” Shaking her head, Kagome smiled in thanks for the help and said the same. “It’s alright…I already have a friend that is going to show me around.” Leaning forward in her chair, the woman told her that school was going to start in a little while. Walking out of the office with her schedule, she got back in her car and backed out of the parking space.

Following the signs, she came into the parking lot in front of the school. A lot of students were loitering around the front of the school, and Kagome sighed as she saw all the cars. There was not another car that looked as new as hers; besides the shiny Volvo…the others were very old cars. ‘Oh well, I paid for this car so I am going to drive it.’ Pulling into an empty parking space next to a red pick up truck, Kagome turned off the ignition and extracted the keys.

Opening the door, she stepped onto the sidewalk and looked around briefly. All the sound that most likely previously filled the air was gone, and everyone seemed to be staring at her. The looks of awe were nothing new, as her body matured while she was training with Sesshoumaru, she had gained many suitors. Regrettably, she never exactly felt the right way about them. Something was telling her that they were not meant for her, and the one that was is still out there.

Many of those suitors were either dead or had families of their own, and she was left alone. Forcibly, she shook herself out of those thoughts as she walked into the building. In the corner of her eye, she felt a family of five particular individuals watching her intensely. Turning her head in that direction her mismatch eyes locked with surprised topaz. Warmth shot through her body as their gaze was still connected, but a familiar voice shook her out of her daze.

“Kagome!”

Looking in the direction of the voice, she saw Bella Swan walking towards her. Giving the slightly shorter girl a smile, she walked with her by her side. “I hope you won’t mind, but I had told the secretary in the office that you were my guide.” Kagome could tell that she was shocked, but she shook it off and agreed to be her guide. This girl amused her more than any other human had for a long time.

Kagome could tell that she had an old soul like her, and mentally she rejoiced at the thought of making a true friend. “Well we should be going…I would like to know where all the classrooms are.” Nodding, Bella glanced back at something or someone over her shoulder before walking in with the long-haired girl.

As soon as the front doors closed behind the girls, chatter immediately erupted in the vicinity. Guys were talking about how they were going about how hot she was, and what they would do her to date them.

Either the females were complimenting her or insulting her. One group in question hadn’t said a word or comment, but their thoughts were definitely focused on the new girl. Especially one of the group in particular, and his name was Edward Cullen. Hearing all the thoughts about the new student, he wondered why he felt like ripping the heads off all the guys whom thoughts were inappropriate. The handsome bronze-haired male couldn’t blame them, after all the girl was on par with Rosalie.

This fact was what Rosalie was currently ranting in her head at the moment.

But there was something else about this girl that had caught his attention, and that was her scent. Unlike Bella, his ex-girlfriend, he didn’t feel the urge to massacre everyone just to taste her blood. No, he wanted to wrap his arms around her and never let go. Glancing over at the pixie-like girl that stood next to him, he saw that she had a warm smile on her face. An unspoken question echoed in his eyes, and she nodded.

For the first time in his never-ending life, he had never felt that his dead heart would suddenly come to life in burst from his chest from the happiness he felt. Looking in the direction that the new girl left, he made it a personal mission to talk to her somehow. First though, he had to talk to Bella. With this little revelation, that Alice had confirmed, he wouldn’t continue to pine after the girl. She had made her choice to break up with him, and so he was cool with it.

Especially since this new girl, Kagome Higurashi (the name was supplied by a very loud Jessica Stanley, whom wanted attention), was his Chosen.

The bell for them to get to classes rang, and the group of five broke up and went to their assigned classrooms. Sauntering down the hallway, Edward ignored all the lustful thoughts that females of him. None of these girls mattered, because Kagome was all he ever needed. The male knew that he would have to take things slow with her, especially since she was human. Hopefully she would accept him for what he was, and besides something about her being when she first appeared in the parking lot said she accepted all.

Coming to his first class, he saw that Bella was here but Kagome wasn’t. Sighing in annoyance, he made his way over towards the brown-haired girl and sat down. He was going to have to start finding out information on the girl.

Letting the soft beat of the music take her mind off of the stares she had been receiving since she entered the building. ‘Silly little humans…’ Continuing down the hallway towards the cafeteria, she casually glanced around to catch a glimpse of Bella. Out of all the humans here, she was the only one that she remotely tolerated. Then again, maybe it was the fact that Bella was obviously more mature than the other mortals around here.

‘Not to mention she has an interesting view on things.’

Reaching the double doors, she tightened her grip on the strap of her bag and schooled her face into an expressionless mask that would make Sesshoumaru proud. Opening the door, Kagome wasn’t disappointed when everyone turned and watched her enter. Scanning the cafeteria, her enhanced sight automatically fell onto the one she was looking for. The brown-haired girl turned and looked at her with a small smile. Lifting her arm up, Bella motioned for her to come over there.

Seeing as she had no other choice, and she would much rather go sit down instead of standing her being wolf whistled at. Walking over to the table with grace, she saw that there was an open seat between her friendly acquaintance and a shy looking girl. Reaching the table she was immediately bombarded with introductions and questions. If she was a regular human, Kagome was sure that she wouldn’t have understood anything they had said. Apparently the girl that was next to her on her left was Angela Weber, a very shy girl but Kagome could practically feel her gentle aura.

The heir of the Western Lord could tell that she was going to get along extremely well. Next to her was a boy named Eric Yorkie, whom said he wanted to ask her some questions for the school paper. ‘It seems I am the hottest topic currently in this town…’ Shifting her eyes over to the other side of the table, she saw the rest of this large group. Mike Newton was the fairly handsome young man with blonde hair, next to him was pretty curly haired girl whom was staring at her with veiled jealousy.

Raising a questioning brow, she decided that apparently she was the shallow type. Coming to the conclusion, she immediately dismissed her and moved on. Sitting next to her a dark skinned boy, who was looking at her with the same eager expression as Newton, and she couldn’t help but sigh mentally. ‘It seems I have a pair of fan boys…damn.’ Blue and Green eyes than landed on the last of the group, and if she wasn’t in control of her emotions her eyes would have widened in shock.

This Lauren Mallory was staring at her with an extremely hostile expression.

‘What the hell is her problem?’

Kagome felt her beast stir at the blatant disrespect in this human’s eyes. Her beast wanted nothing more than to pluck the eyes out of her head for her attitude. Squashing the urge down, she gave the girl a frosty smile which made her cringe back in shock and fear. Feeling a smirk on her face for her accomplishment, the miko grabbed her bag from her back and pulled out a McGriddle.

“So how do you like Forks so far Kagome?”

Looking up from her tasty snack, she was met with multiple pairs of enthusiastic eyes. Glancing over at Bella, she saw the girl sigh. Obviously she knew that this was going to happen, then again Jacob had mentioned that she arrived here last year. ‘Hmmm…it seems that she had to go through this too then?’ Finishing the small pancake sandwich, she licked the syrupy taste off her fingers.

Her eyes darted around, and Kagome was amused that all male eyes were focusing on her actions. Popping one more finger out of her mouth, she almost laughed out loud at the smell of arousal that just spiked in the room. “Well I like rain and this town gets plenty of it…so I actually like it…not to mention that it is very peaceful here.” The music was still playing in her headphones, but it didn’t hinder her hearing. Most of them were probably thinking that she was crazy, especially with how that one girl was looking at her again.

She was really going to have to do something about her.

The beast inside was almost chuckling while thinking of totally mutilating her. Yeah, that would be fitting.

Pulling out another McGriddle, she heard Bella laugh softly. “If I am not reading too much into it…you like McGriddles Kagome?” Looking at her from the corner of her eye, she nodded with a small smile. “They didn’t have these in Japan, and in the last week I have come to like these a lot.” Nodding Bella commented that she liked them, but preferred the hash browns.

As the conversation began forming over food, Kagome noticed that suddenly the cafeteria was silent. The soft sound of footsteps echoed in her ear, and she turned around to see a very pretty young woman coming towards her. From what she could see, she was around 17 or 18, and she was shorter than her. Her black hair was stuck out in every direction, but it was done stylishly. The girl’s skin was very pale, even more so than her Sesshoumaru-nii, and that was saying something.

Using her ears, she listened to see what her name was. On the right to the table she currently occupied, two girls were gossiping. “What is Alice Cullen doing?” Blinking, she thought the name over and looked back at the girl. Topaz eyes were staring at her with excitement and mischievousness that Kagome had always seen in Shippo.

Coming to a stop at their table, she held out her hand in greeting.

“Hi! I’m Alice, Alice Cullen!”

Surprised at her straight-forwardness, Kagome could help the grin that appeared on her face. Reaching her own hand out, she didn’t even flinch when she felt how cold her hands were. “Hello, I’m Kagome Higurashi…it’s nice to meet you.” The girl’s smile widened and she nodded, then she turned and looked at Bella. “Hey Bella! Could I talk to you after school?” Bella seemed to be a little shocked at the request but nodded all the same.

The girl’s eyes darted over towards the table the girl, Alice, had come from. Kagome’s own miss-matched eyes followed her line of sight, but once her sight reached its goal. Blue and Green connected with topaz.

A shiver went up and down her spine as she continued to stare into his eyes. Purring reverberated through her mind, as she felt her beast become fully awake. The presence of a potential mate was in this cafeteria, and this young man she currently was having a staring contest with was it! “Go ahead and take him!” Tearing herself from the small contest, she shook her head and sighed. ‘You know that I can’t do that, especially with all these mortals around!’

Snorting, her beast’s tail still twitched as it huffed in disappointment. “I will relent for now, but if we are ever see him alone take him!” Kagome couldn’t help but wonder why it was trying to push her into relationships. Her older brother had explained that it was normal for her beast to act this way, especially if there was a powerful male in the vicinity. Looking over at the others at the table, and saw they were looking at the pixie-like girl with shock.

This coupled with what she heard from those two girls, suggested that the girl and maybe the others with her never visited other tables. Most likely staying to their selves, and not bothering with anyone else. Suddenly she heard her cell phone go off, and everyone’s attention snapped to her. Reaching a hand into her pocket to grab her phone, she flipped it open and answered in a business-like tone.

“Hai?”

All eyes were on her as she answered in Japanese to whoever was on the phone. Bella wondered who was that on the phone, that made her hopeful new friend talk in such a tone. Then Kagome laughed and smiled a little before nodding once more. “Arigato Sesshoumaru-Nii…Sayonara.” Hanging up, she then flipped her phone closed before slipping it back into her pocket.

Turning to look at the group (Bella, Alice, and Angela in particular) she gave them an apologetic smile. “Sorry, but I am going to have to leave early…I will see you tomorrow.” With that she turned and made her way to the double doors of the room. As she passed by Alice’s usual table, her eyes connected once more with the handsome bronze-haired male’s eyes. Diverting her eyes quickly, she exited the room making many people mummer excitedly about the events that passed.

Edward almost had to have Jasper hold him back from going after the girl, as she left the cafeteria. He wanted…no needed to know more about her! Something about her makes him want to take her up in his arms, and… “Mates…” Looking up from his clenched fists, he was staring into mischievous orbs that were the same color as his own. “What?”

Giggling, the tiny vampire sat herself down in her mate’s lap. “These feelings that you are experiencing is the indicator that you have found your true mate!” Edward’s eyes widened while a booming laugh came from Emmett, and Rosalie huffed. Bringing a hand down onto his ‘younger’ brother’s shoulder, Emmett couldn’t help but grin. “You sure know how to pick em’ huh Ed?”

Rosalie snorted and brushed her blonde hair over her shoulder, and then she glared at Edward. “At least this time he has chosen someone worthy enough.” This drew Rosalie a look from the others, sneering slightly she narrowed her eyes at them all. “What? The last one he brought home, I almost fainted when I saw how plain she was!” Ignoring the looks she was receiving from Edward, she continued.

“At least this time, the mortal he chose is unique.”

Alice couldn’t help but giggle even more at the really annoyed look on her brother’s face.

“Well anyway…”

Stopping suddenly images flashed through her mind, and Edward immediately tried to see them. Unfortunately, his view of the vision was blocked by something. When Alice came out of her trance, her smile turned into a wide smirk as she turned to Edward.

“Later on today things are going to get very interesting…”

As she trailed off like that, Edward didn’t know wither he wanted to know or not. But for some reason, he could tell that it had something to do with Kagome.

After she got the slip signed, she went to the main office and dropped off the paper. Quickly getting into her Ashton Martin, she pulled out of the parking lot and down the street. It appeared that she would have to have to be in at the meeting, via web video. Sesshoumaru’s assistant Suzumiya-san already had her camera and computer set up before she got here. Arriving at her house in record time, she turned off the car and then raced into the house.

Stepping into her room, she quickly changed into proper business attire. Walking into her computer room, she turned it on and sat down in her chair. As the computer came on, there was a message and she decided she would look at it later. Turning on her webcam, there she saw Sesshoumaru sitting with an interesting group. If she didn’t know better, she would say that they look like the Cullens.

‘Only they have red eyes, while the Cullens have Amber eyes.’

Looking over at her Sesshoumaru then nodded.

“Now that my Imouto is here, I would like to begin this meeting…I would like to ask what your reason is for requesting my assistance?”

One of the beings stood up and looked at them both with a smile, he was handsome there was no doubt about that. ‘But he isn’t as handsome as that one guy or Jacob…’ Gesturing towards themselves in a flamboyant fashion, Kagome wondered if he was the leader of something. “My name is Aro, and we are the Volturi…we have come with a request of you…and since your sister is residing in the place of needed assistance then we hope you accept.” Now he was looking in Kagome’s eyes, making her stare at him emotionlessly.

Something was going on here in Forks? Well, there had been the reports of hikers being killed…shaking her head mentally she paid attention to his words.

“There is a vampire that is creating an army of newborns around Forks, from what our reports tell us…she is trying to kill a coven that has made it’s home there…” This gained an eyebrow raise from both Kagome and Sesshoumaru. ‘So we are dealing with Vampires eh? No other race uses the word Coven…’ Crossing her legs elegantly, she ignored the looks that some of the vampires shot her. “Which coven is being hunted?”

Her question brought everyone’s attention to her, and Aro grinned widely.

“The Cullen coven.”

Yay! I am finished with the first chapter! Whoot! Wow this is pretty long, and it would have been longer if I wasn’t lazing around with the last few paragraphs.
