Hello! I was really busy these days in UFPA (Universidade Federal do Pará), but now I’m going to continue my sotry. By the way, do you want to know an interesting thing? In Brazil, the person who did Izzy’s voice, Rodrigo Antas, nowadays does the voice of Bart Simpson.

Chapter 2: The guardians of the Darkness

August first, 2003

It was a sunny day. The choosen (the old and the new ones) went to Digital World to celebrate their “aniversary”. They were near a beautifull lake, in front of a mountain. Izzy was lay on the grass, while the others were talking about something he really didn’t give importance. Suddenly, Tentomon called him. He was coming back from the mountain.

- You would never believe in what I just discovered!

- What is it?

- That mountain has an entrance. It’s like a huge hall. I think there’s something hidden there.

Izzy became curious about the mountain and decided to go and give it a look.

- Can I go too? – asked Kari, who had heard the conversation. – There’s something about that mountain...I feel I should go there.

- What do you mean? – asked Tai – You’re feeling there’s something bad with the mountain?

- I don’t know – she said – I just think I should go and check.

- I’ll go too – said Tai. TK also manifested his desire to go. So, Izzy, Tai, Kari and TK, along with their digimon partners, went to the mountain. It was huge and gray, with a small entrance, wich was connected to a large hall. It was dark there, so TK, who had brought a lantern, lighted the path up. Izzy was looking to the rock walls really interested.

- What do you think these binarie codes mean? – asked Izzy to the others.

- What binarie codes? – asked Tai.

- These on the wall. – said Izzy, pointing at the serie of 0 and 1 he was seeing. The others looked worried.

- Izzy, there’s nothing on the wall. – said Kari.

Izzy thought they were joking with him.

- Right! – said Izzy –So these numbers on the wall are just part of my imagination? – He touched a number and suddenly paralyzed. The mountain started to shake.

- Izzy, what did you do?! –Tai tryed to get Izzy away from the wall, but the redhead boy looked like he was under some kind of transe. A light came from nowhere and they were temporaly blinded by it. When Tai, Kari and TK, with their partners, recovered their vision, they noticed Izzy and Tentomon were no longer there. Kari suddenly started to shake and fell on her knees.

- Kari! What’s wrong? – asked TK and Tai. Kari whispered in fear:

- The Darkness. I can feel it here. I’ve never fellt it so...

- Tai, was that over there before? – asked TK, pointing at an entrance on the wall they didn’t have noticed before. – We should check, maybe Izzy and Tentomon are at the other side.

- The Darkness is coming from there...we must stop it. – said Kari.

They agreeded to go through the entrace and check. At the other side there was a huge and oval room with a big cilinder on its center. The cilinder was connected to some machines, and there was a dark substance inside it.

- That thing is like the pure Dark Power! – said Kari.

- Is that a digimon? – asked Tailmon.

- Maybe it’s something that will eventually become an evil one. – suggestioned TK.

- I think we should destroy this thing. – said tai – Agumon, digi...

- Stop right there, humans! – said a loud feminine voice. From the other side of the room was coming a female digimon. She had dark hair and red eyes and was wearing a gothic dress. Her skin was white like a piece of paper.

- What digimon is that? – asked TK to Patamon.

- I don’t know, I never saw someone like her before.

- PERSEFONEMON! – shouted a digimon covered with a black cape. He also was coming from the other side of the room. – That humans...were they who have broken master’s shield?

- Don’t be silly, Chainmon. They’re just regular humans with weak digimons.

- Hey, you two! – said Tai in loud voice – Who are you? What is this thing?

- We don’t have any reason to answer your questions. Just get out here and forget what you saw. – said Persefonemon.

- I don’t think so. Agumon...

The three digimons digivolved to their perfect forms. The other two digimons looked annoyed.

- Angewomon, destroy the cilinder! – said Kari. The digimon was going to do it, when she felt cold chains envolving her body. The digimon called Chainmon threw her against the other digimons with violence.

- It’s useless, humans. If your lifes are worth to you, get out here. – said Persefonemon coldly.

- We’re not going to get out here! – shouted Kari. A pink light started to come from her. That alarmed the two digimons.

-This feeling...is it Unschuld? – asked Chainmon.

- Go to master’s room, now! – ordered Persefonemon. Chainmon ran, but he was hit by the atacks of Holyangemon and Angewomon, and fell to the ground. Persefonemon lost the control.

- No! Chainmon! – She ran to her companion’s side – You damn humans, you really work to her, don’t you?!

Persefonemon shooted black thorns from her hands against the digidestined. One of them reached Kari’s right arm. She screamed in pain. TK removed the thorn, but Kari started to shake.

- It’s cold, TK! It hurts a lot. – she whispered.

Tai and TK were full with hatred They were going to order their partners to atack Persefonemon when a strong energy wave came from above the room. Persefonemon looked terrified. Chainmon called her and said:

- You know, don’t you? This immense and terrible power...is from one of the six. They have found us. We must find master Weisheit and run!

- It’s useless. – said Persefonemon - It’s coming from master’s room. He’s already there. Glaube!
