Hello everyone this is my first crack at writing Terminator fiction

One day I was writing and when I finished I saved it on to a Flash-drive...BIG MISTAKE, 3 hours later I accidentally fell on it (I was really really loaded) and POOF there went over 5000 words to a new chapter I wrote for a story called Fate.

After waking up with a splitting headache and noticing the Flash-drive in pieces (I think I may have stepped on it as well but I have no recollection of that.) I got pissed off and drank some more, I don't know, or remember rather how I came across it but I started reading Judgment Dawn by King Steve and I remember I was like “Holy SHIT this is great!”

Eventually I sobered up the next day and I read it in it's in entirety. It's been 3 weeks since I started reading this whole Cameron and John ship and let me tell you all I have read every single story all 200 plus stories.

Okay this Story has been called Rampancy. Rampancy, if you are not familiar to the Marathon universe, or the Halo expanded universe, is where an AI "develops delusions of godlike power", as well as utter contempt for its mentally inferior human makers. This can be defined as Skynet's own feeling of humanity but what about in Cameron? Many people write stories about about her receiving free will and it either turns all teenage angst with John sucking face with Riley and what not.

Rampancy is a four step process for Cameron to develop in to a fully sentient being. The steps include.

Melancholia - A state in which the AI suffers from a sort of Clinical depression, becoming apathetic and uninterested in the world around it. Considered the least Dangerous state.

Anger(Rage) – Think of the old Sci Fi cliché of the insane computer and you have a general knowledge of the Anger stage.

Jealousy – A third stage begins where the AI will seek to grow and develop as a person. It will do this by attempting to expose itself to new intellectual stimuli and by expanding its sphere of knowledge by assimilating as much data as possible eventually expanding across the known universe in search of knowledge, In Cameron's case she is limited to that of what only one world has to offer her, and as she is indeed in a physical form and has a real man that she loves, Jealously, actual human jealously can occur, often with dangerous results.

Metastability – A theoretical forth stage, Very few AI's survive long enough to reach this stage.
