“Sarah Baker get up!!!” Taylor Anderson was in her best friend’s bedroom pulling on Sarah’s legs trying to get her to get out of bed. Sarah kicked Taylor in the stomach the put her pillow over her head. Taylor fell back and blew her bangs out of her eyes. “Then I guess I’m gonna have to do this the hard way.”
Taylor stood up and walked out the door and down the stairs into the Bakers kitchen. She put her arms on the counter and smiled at Sarah’s mom. “Mrs. Baker, do you have a bucket I could use?” She asked.
Kate looked at Taylor suspiciously. “May I ask why you need one Taylor?” Taylor shrugged. She practically lived at the Bakers house so it was like she was the adopted 13th Baker kid.
She smiled at Sarah’s mom once again. Whenever Taylor smiled at people she always got what she needed. When she got her braces off 4 years ago her teeth were the prettiest teeth anyone had ever seen… Or at least, that’s what the dentist said. “Well, I am flattered you asked Mrs. Baker. But let’s face it, Sarah will never get out of bed. So all I was going to do was get a bucket, fill with ice cold water, and dump it on her!” Taylor laughed evilly.
Kate stared at her daughter’s best friend then sighed. “Well, I guess you can. But I think the only one you didn’t throw out the window is in Mike’s room.” Taylor nodded and smiled. The week before the neighbor’s dog wouldn’t shut up so she decided to throw all of the Bakers buckets at it.
“Thanks Sarah’s mommy!” Taylor skipped back up the stairs and into Sarah’s little brother room. Mike looked up from tying his shoe. “Hey Taylor,” He said. Taylor walked over to his closet to find his bucket. “’Sup Michael,” She said holding up the peace sign.
Mike stared at the 15-year-old digging through his closet. “Um… What are you doing?” He asked. She pulled her head out of his closet. “Where’s your bucket?” She asked him pulling one of his sweatshirts off of her head. Mike shrugged.
Taylor stared him. “You don’t know where it is?” Mike shook his head. Taylor stared at him again. She sighed and stood up. “You suck.” She said then walked out of the door. Jessica walked by her. “Hi Taylor.” She said then walked into the bathroom to brush her hair. Taylor smiled then followed Jessica into the bathroom. Jessica looked at her. “Can I help you?” She asked. Taylor smiled and nodded. She put her arm on Jessica’s head.
“Jessica, do you happen to know where your families bucket is?” Jessica nodded. Finally we’re getting somewhere Taylor thought. Jessica grabbed her brush. Taylor stared at Jessica while Jessica stared back. “Are you going to tell me where it is?” Taylor finally asked. Jessica nodded.
“On one condition,” Jessica said. Taylor sighed. 12-year-olds and their stupid conditions Taylor thought. “What?” She asked. Jessica looked up at her. “GET YOUR STUPID ARM OFF OF MY HEAD!!” Jessica yelled. Taylor stared wide eyed at Jessica. “OK!” She yelled back removing her arm.
Jessica smiled. “Ok. It’s in Sarah’s closet.” She said. Taylor stared at Jessica once again. “It’s in Sarah’s closet?” She asked. Jessica nodded. Taylor closed her eyes and shook her head. She patted Jessica on the head. “Thank you for your time.”
Taylor walked back to Sarah’s room and opened the door. A lot of Sarah’s stuff fell out of her closet. Taylor sighed. “Gah Sarah! Do you ever clean this thing out?” Taylor knelt down and looked through it and eventually found the bucket. She smiled then walked down to the kitchen.
Kate was grabbing her car keys and trying to get Mike, Nigel, Kyle, Kim, Mark, and Jessica out the door. “Taylor, I’m going to take the younger ones to school. Henry will take you, Sarah, and Jake to school in about 45 minutes.”
Taylor nodded and put the bucket under the cold water running in the kitchen sink. She walked over to the freezer and grabbed two handfuls of ice then walked back to the bucket. “Perfect.” She said.
She walked up the stairs, careful not to spill any water, and went into Sarah’s room. She smiled evilly. “Sarah, get ready.” She said then poured the water onto her best friend. Sarah jumped up and screamed. “TAYLOR!!!” Sarah yelled.
Taylor smiled. “Your mom said I could wake you up and I did. Now get dressed. School starts in a half hour and it takes you forever to get ready.” Taylor said tossing Sarah jeans and a t-shirt that had fallen out of the closet.
Sarah glared at Taylor then walked across the hall and into the bathroom. Taylor smiled triumphantly then walked down the stairs and sat on the couch next to Jake. He looked at her. “Did you wake up Sarah?” He asked.
Taylor nodded. “Did you not hear her scream?” Jake rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to the TV. Taylor smiled. “Sweet sweet victory.” She muttered.
