This is a story for the only yuri pairing I support, HarukaxMichiru from Sailor Moon. They’re just too perfect of a pairing…sigh.
They’re also underappreciated, so here I am, trying to change that. Review please!
Off Duty
Chapter 1
Haruka took a deep breath and let out a huge yawn. The soft warm lights of the cafe fluttered, then sharpend again after she finished.
"Jeez, Haruka. You're such a boy." Michiru said playfully.
"That's the whole idea, right?" Haruka said playfully. She took another scoop of her ice cream sundae.
"You shouldn't eat so many sweets, Haruka. Don't you remember what happened last time?" Michiru said.
"Michiru." Haruka said, using her finger to gently tip up Michiru's chin. They gazed lovingly at each other. "You're my girlfrend, not my mother."
Michiru sat back with a smile and crossed her arms."I wouldn't treat you like a child if you didn't act like one so much." She smiled back.
Haruka pouted. Suddenly, she noticed something. "Michiru, look. I's our little princess."
Michiru turned, and outside there was Usagi looking around. She got up, and walked over to the cafe entrance.
"Hey, what are you..." Haruka started.
"Usagi-san."Michiru called.
"Michiru-san." Usagi said. Michiru beckoned her over. Michiru grabbed Usagi's arm and pulled her into the cafe.
"Hey, Michiru-san, what are you..."
"Yo!"
"Haruka-san!"
"Hey, Michiru. I thought we were gong to start a real relationship now, but here I see you turning around and pulling at my favorite girl to tease. What's the meaning of this?" Haruka asked, a devious glint in her eye. Usagi gulped. Chaos was inevitable.
"It's just a taste of your own medicine." Michiru said, with a signature Michiru smirk. "And besides, if she's your favorite girl, then what does that make me?"
"What a silly question. You are my goddess, of course." Haruka said, leaning back.
Michiru blushed red, and evn Haruka was surprised at Michiru's reaction. She stood up, released her hold on Usagi, and kissed Haruka on her cheek quickly. Michiru then turned away.
"Heh. Typical Michiru. Easy to please."
"She' a good person though, right, Haruka-san?"
"Yeah." Haruka answered, fondly watching Michiru walk away.
"What's she going over there to do?" Usagi asked.
"She's getting you ice cream." Haruka smiled.
"What?!!" Usagi's mouth fell open, and Haruka pointed to the ice cream table.
"Michiru feels just the teensiest bad about Neptune's attitude towards you, so she's getting you some ice cream."
"Don't listen to her." Michiru was back."Haruka was the one who wanted to make it up to you."
"Hey, hey, don't make things up! You were the one to pull her into the cafe! And on our date too! I'm hurt!" Haruka retaliated.
"If you be a good girl, Haruka, then I'll reward you tonight, okay?" Michiru said. Haruka's grin got bigger.
'They haven't changed at all.' Usagi thought. 'Actually, they're more frisky than usual. That's not good.'
Usagi noticed the gorgeous strawberry ice cream in front of her, and grabbed her spoon to dig in, before she froze.
"Why are you guys treating me? I'm not complaining, but..."
"Then don't complain! Eat, eat!" Michiru said, smiling.
"And call over your other little friends." Haruka added.
"Usagi-chan!"
"Speak of the devil." Haruka said, grinning widely now too.
"Come on in, girls, grab some ice cream. It's on Haruka." Michiru called, almost giggling. Usagi just sat there, completely befuddled. "Hey, I don't have that much money." Haruka said, pouting.
"Why?" Maokoto asked, her eyes reduced to suspicious slits.
"Hmm...let's put it this way." Haruka said. "Tenoh Haruka and Kaioh Michiru are nice, wonderful people."
"Just stay away from Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus. They're mean...but not that you'd know them or anything." Since they all knew each other's indentities now, conflicts were unavoidable.
They both gave the perfect innocent smile, and after a while, the girls relented and went to get ice cream and desserts.
"So, what have you been up to lately?" Michiru asked sweetly.
"Eh....studying, school, other...important stuff." Minako said, slurping the syrup.
"Which we're not going to tell you about." Rei said, glaring at Haruka and Michiru.
"Now, now, there's no need to be so rude." Haruka said, sweat drops glistening. "We can all be friends here right?" She waved her arms to fend off the stares. Nothing worked.
With a sigh, Haruka got up. "Well, since we're bothering you guys so much by asking about your day and buying you Italian ice cream, I think that we should leave." Michiru nodded, and got up.
Usagi and friends turned to look at the menu. The Italian ice cream was astronomically expensive, and the sundaes were even more expensive. The girls would have been sufficiently bankrupt if they had paid.
Haruka and Michiru walked out of the cafe, and slipped into Haruka's car. "Thank you, Haruka-san! Thank you, Michiru-san!"
Haruka lifted his arm up, and Michiru turned away to wave like a princess.
When they turned the corner, Michiru and Haruka burst into laughter. "Our little princess is finally growing up."
"Do you think we should throw a party for her?" Michiru asked.
"Nah. We'll reward her by saving her the next time she almost gets killed."
Michiru kept laughing, and even Haruka had to smile.
