A/N (Rose is Thorn as a female and Murtagh’s wife as Saphira is to Eragon. see Eragon book 2 for Thorn. Rose was adopted by Ancalagan the lord of reds and Saphira was adopted by Ranakr the lord of blues after the events of Finding Shadowfire). Oh yes Darla had to die to which some of the reactions I got were awesome especially Rose that Blooms in Secret she made me laugh.

When Dani and Dana go to the Shire it will be a few months before Gandalf comes in the movie scenes, basically Gandalf coming for an earlier visit. Oh and sorry for the shortness of the first chapter, but this one will be longer. And the twins will seem very powerful in contrast to what it on Arda for now, wait till the REAL fun starts later. Oh and I will be using lots of lines from the movie.

Only Disclaimer: I own nothing from LOTR and Forgotten Realms (Drow/Lloth/Tiamat/Drizzt) They belong to Tolkien & Wizards of the Coast respectively.

In case ppl have not translated it, chapter 1’s title means: Mourning a Dragon

DDEC: Just review, by Tiamat’s scaly rear end plz just review.

Chapter 2: Prologue: The Games of Gods

Tiamat POV

Date/ Year N/A

I glare across the board at Lloth “That was a dirty trick.” I snarl

“It was a fair move.” She says with a nasty smirk as Darla is impaled on her father’s claw.

“Recalling your avatar was a dirty move.”

“Fine, fine, I’ll make a bet with you Tiamat: If Legolas does not sail or commit suicide in seven years, you get one free move. If he does, I get that move.”

“Fine.” After studying the board for what seems like seven seconds I watch Legolas carry on, after the seven years I hear his prayer and whisper to him “I will grant your wish little one.” Lloth glares angrily

“You win Tiamat.” I smirk across at Lloth and wave my hand over the board. I turn back the clock to before the War of the Ring, and before Bilbo’s birthday party and I begin gathering models. “Hmm let’s see, Dani, Dana, Legolas, Thranduil, Thranduil’s advisors, Xanroth, Bloom, Erianus, Mycroft, Ranakr, Ancalagan, Ayra, Daniel, Ginny, Murtagh, Rose, Harry, Eragon, Saphira. Hmm I’ll make Brom younger, Nathala 18 year old defiantly and Darla.” I begin setting models on the board but I withhold Darla’s piece

“What? Not putting the massive thorn in my side back?” Lloth sneers as she prepares her own armies to head to Middle-Earth

“Not yet, when it’s time.” I smirk as I reset Middle-Earth and ready Dragon Haunt’s armies to clash with Orcs and the Drow on that world.

Chapter 2: Dani and Dana

Dani and Dana POV (it switches from Dani or Dana randomly because of their telepathic sibling link)

We shudder as Tiamat’s full power washes over us and we materialize on a road. I sense Dani’s annoyance as I know she senses mine.

“Where are we Dani?”

“I have no idea Dana, but you know that already.” We both give undignified snorts and begin walking down the road. After an hour of walking we can hear from behind us a man singing and a wagon’s wheels creaking. We have no idea where the nearest town was, or when the next person would happen along. So, we stood and waited.

"Whoa," said the old man who is driving the wagon, reigning the horse to a stop. He eyes the girls in front of him. they are dressed in black and armor with crossbows and swords on their hips. Before he does a double take

"Excuse me, please. Could you, um, could you tell us where we are?"

"Are you lost?"

Dana bites back a sarcastic remark about how she wouldn't be asking if that wasn't the case. After all, there was no need to be rude. "You could say that." Dani grimaces

"You are on the East Road, my dear. That way," he pointed ahead, "leads to the Shire. The other direction will take you to Bree." We frown. The Shire, not anyplace we had been

"And that puts us where, exactly?" Dana says.

He frowns at the us. "You are in the west. How is it that you do not know where you are?"

“Primarily it’s Dani’s fault here.”

“No it’s not you little venom weaver.” (type of nasty giant spider, twice Shelob’s size)

“You just contradicted yourself there.” I (Dana) reply

Piss off.” Dani snaps in Draconic and I sigh

“Our pardon, but could you tell us where Eyrn Lasgalen is to our position.”

“Ah, you are far away, it is on the far side of the misty mountains to the east. Your pardon ladies but are you related to king Thranduil?”

“Our Darada. (Is this right? Looking for grandfather)

“I was unaware that prince Legolas had any children.”

“That is a strange tale, and one we will tell later.” Dani and Darla expose their pointed ears. “May we have your name master wizard?”

“You may call me Gandalf.” That name clicks our memory, Gandalf the Grey. Our ada had spoke of Gandalf, known as the grey wizard or Mithrandir. After some time we decide it would be easier to stay in the Shire for awhile and make plans from there on.

Legolas POV

“WHERE ARE THEY.” I yell at a guard

“My pardon my prince even though they are your children we have not seen anyone with those descriptions on our borders.”

“Relax ion.” Ada says “Dani and Dana can take care of themselves.” Ada dismisses the guard and turns to me “I am truly proud of both them and you my son, despite our memories of the times between your meeting of Darla and whatever happened to cause our victory on this world are gone. I am fond of your children, now go to Rivendell as my emissary.” I nod and hope to find my wayward children before they got into trouble… again. They make Elladan and Elrohir, Elrond’s twin sons look like perfectly behaved elflings.

Dani and Dana POV

We had been in the Shire for over a month, most of the Hobbits regarded us in awe after they found out about our Elvish heritage. Our Dragon heritage remains a secret, our time in the Shire allowed us to make friends such as Frodo Baggins, his uncle Bilbo, his gardener Samwise Gamgee and Gandalf. Not long after our arrival we had met up with Frodo a old male hobbit came out and began berating two rather pesky hobbits called Merry and Pippin. After the old grumpy Hobbit turned to us he insulted us, our upbringing and our mother. The one thing we would not tolerate at all was someone insulting our mother. So after hissing to that Hobbit that our dask was dead we knocked him to the ground and drew our swords and pointed them at him and said action also exposed our pointed ears “Bear in mind little Halfling, we will not tolerate any insults to our naneth, who is a far greater person than you ever will be. And our goddess Tiamat as our witness if you ever insult our mother again we will find and feed you to the Tarrasque.” (see A/N 1). We snarl to the frightened Hobbit as we send memories of the beast into his mind

“We have faced far greater enemies that your worst nightmare could produce.” Dana yells as we walk back to Bag end.

Over then next month we watch as the Shire readies for Bilbo’s 111 birthday and we are reading out in the woods with Frodo before we hear.

“The road goes ever on and on…” Frodo stands up with a smile and races down the hill while we follow at a more leisurely pace and I see Dani smiling at Frodo’s excitement. We decide to catch a ride with Gandalf and Frodo, and children come running out begging Gandalf for fireworks. After a few minutes of pleading and sounds of disheartened children Gandalf sets off a few fireworks to the pleased cheers of the Hobbit children and our polite applause of the skill in the fireworks. We catch the eye of the Hobbit who told us off at first and he flinches as he sees us, but we ride away uneventfully. After listening to the news of the outside world Frodo jumps off we tell Gandalf we are going to our usual training spot. Gandalf had watched us once and was surprised to find out about our magical skills, Gandalf had exchanged some of his magical knowledge with us for some of ours. By now if Gandalf ran into trouble he could surprise them with spells originally unknown to Arda. By now night has fallen, Dani and I are dressed in our usual all black clothes and adamantium breastplate and chain shirt combination. With all our weapons save our light repeating crossbows which we left in our room at Bag End. The party is now going full swing and certainly lively, Dana and I sit near Bilbo listening to his stories about him and some dwarves escaped from three trolls wanting to eat them. Dani and I smile at each other and laugh as Frodo shoves Sam to dance with a girl he had been eyeing and Gandalf had just let off an impressive firework.

Dana looks around and spots Merry and Pippin looking like their up to some mischief. “Gandalf.” Dana says “Merry and Pippin are up to something.” But before Gandalf or we could do anything a firework is set off out of a tent, it rises up and forms into a gargantuan red Dragon which makes the hobbits panic and flee in all directions. After a minute the Dragon fizzles and turns into a burst of excellent fireworks. Gandalf goes after the two mischief makers and puts them to work washing dishes. A few minutes after that Bilbo is called up to make a speech in which he addresses the different Hobbit families and proclaims his 111th birthday. Bilbo complements the Hobbits to cheers and weaves an interesting way to insult some of the Hobbits

“I know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve. I have things to do” I nod to Dana as I see Bilbo fiddling with something behind his back and our enhanced hearing allows us to hear his muttered “I’ve put this off for far to long now.” Then he says louder “This is the end, I’m going now. I wish you all a very fond farewell, goodbye.” Bilbo does something that makes a huge burst of shadow magic which staggers us.

Svabol jahus batobot?” (what was that?) Dani asks

Si tepoha thric ulhyrr myvish, creol turalisj intuil di sjach arcaniss.” (I have no idea sister, some big amount of shadow magic)I reply

“What language is that? it’s nothing I’ve heard before.” Asks Frodo as we follow him back to Bag End

“Draconic, it’s one of the main languages at our home of Dragon Haunt.” Before Frodo runs off calling for Bilbo as we enter Gandalf whispers to Frodo

“Keep it secret, keep it safe.” Then he turns to us “Oh, Dani, Dana? Could I have a word with you outside please? We step outside and shut the door. We see Gandalf looked deadly serious. “Children,” he says urgently, “I know you’re confused and somewhat lost, but I need to ask you a favor.”

“What?” we ask

“Could you please stay here and keep an eye on Frodo?” he asked, “I know you want to go home, but I also realize that that’s not easy for you at the moment, and I really need someone here to look after him, and if the need arises, to protect him.”

Dana and I let the last few words sink in before answering, “All right. we’ll do it. But first, there are some things I need to know. Where’s Bilbo? How’d he disappear? And how come you need us to protect Frodo?”

“I will explain all when I have the time, but I really must leave. Promise me that you will watch Frodo for me.”

“Certainly, you know our age. We may be young by both our homes standards but we will help Frodo until your return.” Says Dana.

Over the next couple months Dani and I had fibbed about our ages, being Elves we said that we were quite old, but never an actual number was given.

Si jika svadrav dask geou qe spical.” (I wonder when mother will be back) Dani says to me among the cheering noises of the taverns and singing of the Hobbits. I shake my head and shrug

“I don’t know, leave it to Darastrix Dask.” (Dragon Mother: Tiamat)

“Sigh I miss her.” Dana sighs

“So do I sister, we were very young when she was killed, I wish we could have known her longer.” I (Dani) says. After another hour of partying at the Green Dragon, Frodo, Sam, Dana and I head back to Bag End and on the way we tease Sam gently about his infatuation over the barmaid Rosie Cotton. After parting with Sam, Frodo walks up and opens the front door, the place is a mess.

‘What in the name of the Valar.’ Dani sends through the sibling link before she draws her sword and I mirror her move.

“Stay here.” Dana hisses to Frodo as we move like ghosts through the house, after a minute there is a sound of a scuffle near Dani and I come rushing over to Gandalf’s voice

“Unhand me Dani.” And Dani’s reply

“Gandalf what in Tiamat’s scaly backside are you doing?” I let Gandalf go as Dana arrives into the living room and Frodo comes

“What happened?” Dana asks me

“I snuck up behind him and tackled him as we were taught by naneth.”

“Come let me up girl I must ask Frodo if it’s secret and safe.”

“What?” I ask as Frodo realizes what Gandalf is asking and begins rummaging about in some chests; Frodo grabs an envelope with a triumphant noise and Gandalf grabs the envelope from Frodo and throws it in the fire.

“What are you doing?” Frodo asks in shock as we watch as the envelope is burned revealing a gold unadorned ring. Gandalf takes some tongs and grabs the ring with them

“Hold out your hand Frodo.” Frodo hesitates “it’s quite cool.” Gandalf drops the ring into Frodo’s hand “What can you see?” “Can you see anything?”

“No there’s nothing.” Gandalf sighs in relief “wait there’s writing, it’s some form of Elvish can’t read it.” We look at it and recognize the language, the black speech of Mordor

“The language is that of Mordor which I will not utter here.”

“Mordor?” Frodo asks in fear

“In the common tongue it says ‘One ring to rule them all. One ring to find them. One ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.” We listen as Gandalf explains the history of the One ring and how Bilbo found it, then the effects the ring had on Bilbo.

“But he was destroyed.” Frodo protests “Sauron was destroyed.” A whisper from the ring causes us to shudder and everybody to look at the ring in shock.

“No Frodo, the spirit of Sauron endured. His life force is bound to the ring and the Ring survived, Sauron has returned. His Orcs have multiplied, his fortress of Bara-Dur has been rebuilt in the land of Mordor. Sauron needs only thisring to cover all the lands in the second darkness. He is seeking it, seeking it,all his thought is bent on it. For the ring yearns, above all else, to return to the hand of its master: they are one, the ring and the dark lord. Frodo, he must never find it.”

“Alright, we put it away and never speak of it again. No one knows it’s here do they Gandalf?” We notice Gandalf shift uncomfortably and he speaks about a creature Gollum, who had been caught and tortured by Mordor’s forces and gave them two words: Shire and Baggins

“Shire, Baggins but that would lead them here.” Frodo tries offering the ring to Gandalf but Gandalf tells Frodo not to tempt him with the power so Frodo starts packing and Dani lets out a piercing whistle

“AH vith Dani what the hell.” I growl rubbing my ears

“Sorry Dana, we’re coming with you Frodo.” Both Frodo and Gandalf smile at Dani’s proclamation and he tells us to head to the village of Bree

“Will the ring be safe there?” Frodo asks

“I do not know Frodo, I have no answers. I must see the head of my order, he is both wise and powerful. Trust me Frodo he’ll know what to do.” After a little while of helping Frodo to pack as Frodo shoves the ring into a pocket. “You’ll have to leave the name of Baggins behind you, for that name isn’t safe outside the Shire.”

“We can cut through the country with few problems.” Dana says as a noise echoes outside making us freeze “Get down.” I hiss as Dani and I move to the window and peek outside carefully; a bush rustles so Dani and I quietly draw our swords and reach out quickly and Dani grabs a small Hobbit figure and slams him onto the table.

“Damn it all Sam have you been listening the whole time?” Dani snaps holding her blade across Sam’s neck

“No… no I’ve just been clipping the grass under the window there.”

“A bit late for trimming the verge, what did you hear? Speak.” Gandalf shouts and we roll our eyes at Sam’s reply about hearing nothing important except about a ring, dark lord and the end of the world.

“Oh nothing important about that eh?” Dana says sarcastically

“Please Mr. Gandalf don’t hurt me, and no offense to you ms. Dani but Mr. Gandalf is scarier. Dani smiles and changes to her halfway form with elongated features, scales, claws, fangs annd glowing red eyes

“Wanna bet?” She sneers before changing back

“De…demon.” Sam squeaks as I sigh

“Oh Dani, I thought our Dragon heritage was to be kept secret.” I grumble

“Shut it.” Dani snaps as Frodo and Gandalf look a us in an awed manner

“For the record our Dragon blood comes from our mother who was a first generation half-Dragon. We are also half.” Dana explains.

We walk across a field a few hours later and Gandalf explains not to use the ring and to be careful because the enemy has spies everywhere. Frodo and Sam shoulder their packs and we start off on our journey.

A/N Well I hope everyone could follow this and I think 3149 words is a great start.

A/N 1: The Tarrasque is a colossal beast of amazing strength and regeneration abilities. It cannot be truly killed but regenerates slowly over many hundreds of years before it can rise again.
