Chapter 1 : Dark Past

Sanada's POV

I am a sinner.

I hate my own father and mother. My own parents. I couldn't forgive them for what they have done to me and to my younger brother. I can't accept the fact that they have never love each other, that they were married because it was arranged by their parents. I can't accept the fact that they've tried to kill me when I was still in my mother's womb. And they did the same to Akaya. I can't accept the fact that they hated me and Akaya. They hated us. Their own children. I don't understand why and how it all become like this, how it ends like this. Both families... there are no warmth nor happiness can be felt in the mansions.

None. We have always hope that they would have a change of heart and accept us. We're willingly to forget about the past, about what they've done to us. The abusing and the neglecting. The bad language, and all. I never grew hatred towards them. Not even once. I love them, very, very much. They rarely at home, so we haven't had much time to do any family activities or having conversations. They were very busy with their careers. With their family bussiness. I never grew hatred towards them, before I saw the tragic incident. It changed my life forever.

I wasn't at home at the time it happens. When I returned home, I searched for Akaya. I've bought him his favourite candies. I searched for him all over the house, except his room. When I reached his room, I heard the sound of someone pleading. Pleading to be released. I knew that voice. It was Akaya's. I got very worried so I used the duplicate key of his room and I saw something dirty. Something horrable. Something... disgusting. I was stunned by it.

My brother... he was on the bed, tied. They were scars and bruises all over his small body. His clothes were torn. There were lots of blood flowed from his... I just could't say it. My father was naked, he was on top of him. I felt like vomitting, even fainting. Anger and hatred overwhelmed me greatly. I was devasted. I yelled at him angrily. I was mad at him. I ran out of the room and got the manservants' help. I called the police.

My father was arrested. Ad so was my mother. I showed them no mercy. Akaya was sent to the hospital. He was in comma for three months. The doctor said he was shocked. So, he may go through some difficulities. No, it doesn't matter. I'm here. I care for him. I love him, and I believe I could help him heal. The other regulars was with me back then. They helped me a lot. We took turns accompanying him at the hospital. When he came into consiousness, I was very relieved and happy. I couldn't live without him. He was my only sibling.

As for family business, I made sure that I'm the one and only owner. The current President of Sanada and Kirihara Business Empire is me. I'm still in junior high, so I hired someone who I could trust. Every problems or the company will be solved by me. Althought I'm still new, I did my job perfectly. Flawlessly, as Seiichi would say. Then, the eight of us combined our companies and named it, the Octagon Inc. Our parents were irresponsible. We had to do everything on our own. That happened when we were ten, while Akaya was six. The next year, we bought a mansion and lived there together. We hired fourteen maids, fourteen manservants and forty guards. We live together happily. And Akaya has recovered, althought not fully.
