Fic Number: 1/11

A/N: The title of this drabble comes from the song, "The More I See You," by Michael Buble. I've only ever written one drabble where there was no dialogue, and I'm trying that with this pairing as well. Sam, this is the first Eric/Sookie fic I've ever written, so props to you, bb, for requesting this! :) *is nervous* *shuffles feet*

He's glanced at her twice now. The innocence that she has radiates off of her, like a ray of sunshine. He can smell the sun, and he can smell her, all of her. He wants to fuck her, make love to her, worship her body, make her scream his name.

Now she is approaching him, walking towards him, her arm being gripped by Bill's.

He laughs when she says that she isn't sweet, because she probably is. So when she walks away, he feels like he's lost something, even though he's just met her.

He counts the eyelashes on her lovely face, and she steals a nervous glance at him. He doesn't know that she's thinking about how handsome he looks, how if she wasn't with Bill, she'd think that he was the most beautiful thing she's ever seen.

She tells him that she's a psychic. He remembers that the sex with that one psychic was amazing. He wonders again what it would be like to have this woman writhing underneath him as he thrusts inside of her. He wonders what she sounds like when she moans in ecstasy. He's wondering about a lot of things right now, which is probably not a wise thing to do.

A few weeks pass, and he's been fined for killing Long Shadow. He realizes that if any harm came to the girl, this Sookie person, that he'd be devastated. He doesn't know why. There's a strange feeling coursing through his dead veins.

Right now he's riffling through some papers when he hears someone clear their throat. He turns around and sees that it's Bill, leaning against the doorframe.

He snaps at Bill in irritation and asks the other vampire what in the world he wants. Bill answers, saying that he is bored of this Sookie girl already. The assignment from Sophie-Anne to seduce the girl is boring, he complains, and he can't stand her voice. Her innocence irritates him, and Bill just wants to fuck her and get it over with. He's sure the sex will be boring and morbid though, Bill says. The other vampire talks about how she always wants to be independent, but how she needs to be controlled. The Viking is annoyed. Doesn't the fucker know that they're not living in Civil War times anymore? Women should be independent, make their own choices. And if she wants to, good on her, that's the kind of woman that he likes. But Bill goes on talking and ranting and complaining, and it's a nonsense of babbling.

Eric sighs and turns around calmly, although internally he is seething with rage. He opens his mouth to say something when the door is flung open by the subject of their conversation, who has apparently heard everything.

She is screaming and yelling and swearing and talking about what a dumbshit Bill is, and he finds his eyebrows rising in surprise, because he knows that she is not one to do it often, this swearing thing. She storms out and says that she'll him later, but not before her gaze lingers on Eric's face.

So it's over with Bill and Sookie. He hears about it from one of the human waitresses who comes to Fangtasia. She acted really sweet and then dumped a whole ton of True Blood all over the bastard. He has to admit that he is relieved and amused. Pam sees the way that his eyes follow Sookie's form as she leaves the vampire bar, and his second-in-command laughs.

He goes to Merlotte's later, not knowing what he's doing. Impulse, instinct, is driving him. So he's coming to her workplace now. As far as he knows, he's only the second vampire to be in the place.

He sees her, and unbeknownst to him, his eyes light up, blazing with attraction and interest. She is tired from the working day, that much is obvious. She puts down her tray and talks to the cook, Lafayette. Arlene, the obnoxious and irritating redhead, is talking to Sookie in an excited voice. What about, he doesn't know, because he hasn't the interest to listen to them, he only wants to look at her and her delectable body.

She looks up then, realizes that his gaze is on her. She stares at him in surprise, her eyes widening. He continues to look at her, and then she does the most unexpected thing.

She smiles at him and walks over, obviously nervous, her pretty brain racking itself as to what the hell he wants.

He wonders again what she's like in bed. The sex will be the best he's ever had, he's sure.
