Knowing
fallen angels
cry hallelujah.
silky melodic tones
caress
milky skin stained
forever
damaged
amongst the
formalities
of society.
be strong for me.
it is a trial
to be made—
soft clapping windows,
blurred in the storm
no don't
be strong for me.
fight for control
he can't
understand
any words
falling through a
broken mirror from the
wall
blurry distortions
masks
hiding the truth
for so long
he tried
to save
them from themselves
to hide
them from themselves
to keep
them from themselves.
naïveté granted
remains to be accepted
little things
must have some semblance
of life.
are they even here?
is he too late?
maybe not.
but maybe so.
it was all a part
the wretched corruption
called my life,
being used to this thing
known.
