Disclaimer: Apart from Alice Potter, I don’t own anything else but the plot.

INFORMATION ON ALICE POTTER:

NAME: Alice Lillian Potter

PERSONALITY: Sarcastic, Blunt, Exuberant, Arrogant, Witty, Rebellious, Unpredictable, Headstrong; Driven; Enigmatic

BACKGROUND: She’s the younger (by two minutes) twin of Harry Potter, or more commonly known as ‘The Girl Who Lived’. She doesn’t take anyone’s crap - which is why she gets into so much trouble with the Dursleys and Snape. She is absurdly intelligent but still gets herself in trouble because of her sharp wit and tongue.

APPEARANCE: Wavy jet black hair with a fringe to hide her scar; crescent moon scar on her forehead; blue eyes; pale skin

LOVES: Her brother and friends; music; getting in trouble; pranking people with Fred and George; Quidditch (she’s the Chaser)

HATES: Rules; Slytherins; Slytherins who hit on her (*cough*Draco Malfoy*cough*)

BEST FRIENDS (In order): Hermione Granger, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Ginny Weasley, Fred and George Weasley

MOST LIKELY TO SAY: “Shut up, you bloody crap head.”

LEAST LIKELY TO SAY: “It’s too risky. We shouldn’t do it.”

HOUSE: Gryffindor

MOST LIKELY TO DO: Say a random (and sometimes offensive) thing

LEAST LIKELY TO DO: Admit she’s wrong

SIMILARITIES BETWEEN HER AND HARRY: Determination; Disregard for the rules (although Alice seems to take rule breaking to a whole new level)

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HER AND HARRY: Alice is the one to speak Parseltongue - so in their second year, Alice was the one to save Ginny.

SONGS THAT SUITS HER: “I don’t care” - Fall Out Boy; “Tangled up in me” - Skye Sweetnam; “Halo” - Bethany Joy Galeotti

PEOPLE I BASED HER ON: My bestie and moi!

a/n: This chapter is set in their third year and it shows Alice and Cedric met - technically, anyway.

This really wasn’t what Alice had in mind when it came to the Quidditch match with Hufflepuff. She was supposed to be scoring as many Quaffles as she could but she couldn’t stop being so bloody concerned over the fact that her brother was flying in the storm 500 or so feet in the sky.

Her worst fears were confirmed when she saw her brother falling down. She screamed and flew to him as fast as she could, in a vain attempt to save him. But thankfully, Dumbledore saved him. He dropped an Harry softly on the ground.

Alice landed on the ground and ran towards her brother. She cried when she saw him out for the count, which was a rare thing for everyone to see. Alice never cried.

The teachers and her friends and some other people crowded over her, trying - and failing - to comfort her.

“I-is h-he g-g-going to be alr-r-right?” she stuttered, resting Harry’s face on her lap.

“He’ll be alright, Alice. Madam Pomfrey will assure us of that.” Dumbledore said in a comforting tone. “But you will need to let go off him so we can take him to the hospital wing.”

“O-okay.” she whispered and looked up. She suddenly felt very angry to see that Hufflepuff won and that instead of feeling sorry for Harry, they were celebrating.

“You go ahead. I’ll go later.” Alice said quietly.

“Very well then.” Dumbledore said and some people carried Harry and they walked into the Castle.

“Alice…what are you up to?” Hermione asked, looking over to where an angry Alice’s eyes were.

“I’m going to talk to a few friends.” Alice said cryptically as she walked to where the Hufflepuffs were.

“This should be good.” Fred grinned and they followed Alice to see what she was up to now.

When the Hufflepuffs saw that Alice Potter was approaching them, they were all scared stiff. They knew of her ‘reputation’. She despised losing. And not only did her twin brother, whom she was extremely protective of, fell and was unconscious, her house lost the Quidditch game. To them. Yes, they were done for. In serious trouble. In hot water.

Finished.

Cedric Diggory, who was probably the bravest (and hottest) out of all them, decided to step up and confront her.

“Alice Potter! Good game, wasn’t it!” he said fakely.

“Yeah, great! Apart from the fact that my brother’s unconscious, Gryffindor lost and I’m talking to a mug like you, it was splendid game!” Alice said icily.

“Now, there’s no reason to be upset. The better house won -” Cedric tried to explain but Alice cut him off.

“So are you saying that your house is better?!” Alice yelled, furious.

Yes, Alice was about to kill him…and yet Cedric found that Alice was even more adorable when she was angry…why was he thinking this?..oh, maybe because he was infatuated with her ever since she came to Hogwarts. So yes, even though she was having a go at him, he was very much enjoying this.

“No! I - well, yes - I mean -” Cedric stammered. He looked to Alice’s friends behind her.

Hermione looked apologetic for Alice’s wrath. Luna just looked spaced out - which was normal for her. Ron was watching eagerly like he was seeing a good play. And much to Cedric’s dread, the twins were betting whether or not Alice was going to beat him up.

Alice glared at him hatefully. He knew he should be scared shitless right now. But he wasn’t. Instead, he was looking at her intently. God, she was so beautiful it almost caused him to look at her. Because, he knew that it would cause him even more pain if he stopped looking at her.

“You know what you are, Diggory? You’re just worthless pretty boy with no brains who’s only good for being some bimbo’s accessory.” Alice said to him, spitefully.

Yes, she was a bitch.

But Cedric didn’t care. Sure it hurts him to know that that’s what she thought of him but at least managed to cross her mind.

See? That’s how smitten he is.

“Okay, that’s it. Let’s go!” Hermione said, pulling Alice away before she could do any damage.

“Aaw!” Ron cried, disappointed. “Why do you always have to ruin the fun?”

“Yeah, you killjoy.” Alice said. “ I was about to hex him!”

“Well, excuse me for preventing you from any more trouble.” Hermione said haughtily, seriously pissing off Alice.

Alice remained in her bad mood until they got to the Hospital Wing. She kept muttering incoherently to herself - thankfully. That girl had a real potty mouth.

“Look, I apologize for ruining your fun but I just couldn’t let you do it.” Hermione explained.

“Why is that exactly? Do you like the Hufflepuff gigolo or something?” Alice accused hotly.

“No. He likes you.” Hermione replied frankly.

“Huh?” Alice said in an unladylike manner. Hearing what Hermione said made her feel…made her feel…repulsed? Sickened? Chuffed?

“What?! That prat likes Alice?! How do you know this?” Ron asked Hermione, shocked.

“Well, it’s rather obvious. He looks at her all the time.” Hermione replied.

“Define looking at me.” Alice asked, running her hand through a sleeping Harry’s hair.

“Well…” Hermione started. “Like…like how Noah would look at Allie.” (a/n: The Notebook is GENIUS)

“Who?” Ron interjected.

Hermione continued, ignoring Ron’s question. “And one time, I heard his friend…oh what was his name? Ah yes, I got it! His friend Jasper Giles saying something about Cedric liking the Potter girl.”

“Which is me.” Alice muttered, confused whether she should be happy or revolted over this new piece of information.

“All the Hufflepuffs probably know, too.” Hermione continued. “I saw a few Hufflepuff girls glaring at you when you walked past them. I suppose they’re infuriated because their king (a/n: picture Ron+the other guys rolling their eyes) has eyes for someone else.”

“Some Ravenclaw girls are annoyed too.” Luna said dazedly. “At first I thought that it was because Nargles were in their dormitories but they seem to be really angry at Alice.”

“Even some Slytherins.” Ginny joined in. “We overheard them badmouthing you in Charms, didn’t we Luna? They kept saying that someone like you doesn‘t deserve Cedric.”

“Blimey.” Seamus Finnigan said. “You sure have got a lot of girls who hate you, Alice.”

“I know. They shouldn’t hate me just because that stupid philanderer has good taste.” she replied, conceitedly.

“You’re so cocky, Ali.” someone said. They all turned around.

“Harry!” Alice squealed and ran to hug her brother.

“Uh…you’re sort of strangling me here, Alice.” Harry struggled.

“Oops…sorry.” Alice said and she let go off him.

“So…who won the game?” Harry asked, nonchalantly, ask if he never even fell.

“Hufflepuff.” Alice said nastily, as if it was a curse word. “Those darn stupid mindless idiotic senseless brainless dense asinine FOOLS.”

“Are you done yet?” Hermione asked tiredly.

“Not yet.” Alice answered. “Let’s see? They’re…jerks. Low-lives. Buttheads. Tosspots. Losers. Duds…Witless malefactors!”

“Witless malefactors?” Fred and George said in the same tone of bewildered unison.

Alice sighed. "The point is...I don't like Cedric Diggory. I find it disgusting that he likes me - which I'm not sure he even does. I will never like him that way."

Harry chuckled. "Good. He's used to getting what he wants. A total show off...oh wait? Isn't that your type?" he smirked.

"It's a good thing that we're already in the hospital wing because I'm about to beat you to a pulp." Alice glared.
