She held her hand up shielding her eyes from the light as she walked out the doorway of their house. Her pupils dilated as they tried to get used to the light, and she started her sprint to the training center. Only a nanosecond later, the door opened once again and her mothers voice rang out loud and high pitched. "CG you forgot your books!" *She cringed as her mothers voice echoed thru her body and she turned her head slightly.* "Forget it Ma I'm late!" She continued on her run, turning her head back and whispering to herself. "Not that it matters anywayz..."

At the doorway her mother frowned, and began to turn away when a hand reached for her shoulder. "Don't worry Mom I'll get them to her. She thinks she can beat me but once again she's wrong." Bob grabbed a hold of CG's books as well as his own, and gave his mother a quick kiss on the cheek, then started off on his run. He used all his well known shortcuts to catch up to CG in no time, and jog next to her. "Hey CG you forgot something..." *He grinned and threw the books at her, fully expecting her to catch them. Instead, she stopped dead in her tracks and let them fall to the pavement. "Who do you think you are Bob? I don't need them, I don't need you, I don't need anything. Those books are full of useless bytes of information that could definitly live without. And don't think you can tell me what to do either, like when we were younger, cause you can't." She looked down at the books, and kicked one far away, then smirked and sprinted away. Bob looked down at the books strewn across the pavement, and frowned sadly. He picked them up, and went to fetch
the kicked one, then slowly and sadly began his jog to the training center.

She stood there at physical combat training, waiting to be paired up by the instructor. In her head she fumed with the thought of her brothers arrogance. (He thinks he is so much better than me! I could beat him at anything, and yet he always has this superior attitude...I'm so sick of it!) The teacher yelled out CG's name and pointed to the mat. She stood up mindlessly and stood at the mat, stretching. She listened as the instructor picked her partner, and most of the class chuckled as Bob walked up to the mat. His typical careless grin played along his face until he got to the mat and got a glimpse of CG's eyes. She too had a smile along her face, but that smile as well as the her eyes burned with anger. He froze in place and his smile disappeared in place of a nervous chuckle. "Heh..heh..Uhh CG, you're not still mad about this morning...are you?" The instructor yelled for them to begin, and CG front flipped up and jumpkicked Bob, sending him flying to the mat with a thud. As he fell, she landed softly on her feet and knelt down in one swift movement, placing one hand on his neck and clenching the other one in a fist. She raised the fist and yelled out. For a full nanosecond her yell echoed out throughout the room, the halls, the entire center, and then her fist came slamming down. Bob shut his eyes
and prepared for the pain, only to find she had slammed it on the mat, right next to his head. He opened his eyes nervously, and breathed out a sigh of relief, then looked up at her. Her eyes were glazed out, not even seeing him, as she started to cry. His heart ached with the pain of watching her, and he pulled her down to hug her. "CG, you don't have to be so cold you know. You don't have to close yourself off to me. I'm your brother. Not your enemy." She had crumbled into his arms, regressing to when she depended on him for support when she was young. But once he had spoken, she stopped crying and pushed herself off. The brief light that had shone in her eyes died once again, and she stood, holding out a hand for him. He grabbed it and she pulled him up quickly, placing him directly in front of her, and stared into his eyes emptily. "You are not my enemy, but you are my competition. And believe me, big brother, I intend to win."

As she stood there in the back of the rafters, she watched as the line of graduates marched down towards the stage. Each one of them proudly wearing their new fully commissionned guardian uniform, as they processed down to receive their diplomas and keytools from Turbo himself. She let a smile escape as she looked at Turbo standing there, his strong independant attitude showing with every movement. Her eyes slowly drift down and her smile fades as her gaze rests on Bob, walking up the steps, shaking Turbos hand, and receiving the keytool that had prechosen him. Her eyes soften as he stands there, no longer her rival, no longer her competition, just...her brother. And soon he would be leaving forever...

She stood there behind her parents silently as they said goodbye to him for the last time, and he promised he would write and visit when he could. He looked up at her and caught her in his eyes, and she looked away. He frowned and turned to leave, shutting the door behind him slowly. As he raised his arm to form a portal, the door creaked open and she looked through, almost too scared to move. He lowered his arm and walked back up to her, pushing the door open. "CG, I don't want to leave like this." His sad eyes looked into hers, preventing her from looking away like she always did. She stumbled as her words came out choppy and unsure. "All my life..I've fought so hard to be independant..I depended on you so much when we were young..but I wanted to be the one everyone was proud of too. You became nothing more to me than competition Bob. And, I wish I hadn't done that. All this time you were here, and I wasted it so much...and now you're leaving..." At that she began to cry, and Bob wrapped her up in his arms and held her. This time she didn't push him away, she didn't grow cold. Instead she just cried, like she used to do when she was young. She cried and let him comfort her. "Hey don't cry lil sis, you know I'll always love you, no matter what." She laughed through her tears, and looked up at him. In her mind she remembered when they were young, so long ago. She remembered all the times he would take care of her..she remembered it all.

~*~FLASHBACK~*~

A tiny 5 year old CG runs around her house with a cloth over her shoulders acting like a cape, yelling at the top of her lungs. " I'm a guardian!! WEEEE I'll save you!!" She runs up the stairs and slides back down on the banister, only to fly off and land in a 10 year old Bobs arms. "DANGIT CG why don't you compile up already! Being a guardian is no joke and I'm not always going to be there to catch you!" A scowl plays on her face and she sticks her tongue out at him. "I don't need you! I don't need anybody!" She runs around the room laughing until she trips and falls, scraping her knees. She begins to wail loudly, and Bob rolls his eyes, picking her up and bringing her to the bathroom. He sits her down on the sink and gets out the bandaids and first aid spray. As he takes care of her knees, she stops crying, and looks down at him. "Why yew always take care of me B?" "'Cause I'm your big bro C. One day you'll get married and someone else will take care of you. But until then its my responsibility to see that you don't delete yourself." "Get Mawwied? EWWWWWWW I'm nevah getting mawwied!!! Boys are icky!!!" He chuckles softly and tries to keep her still. "Yeah yeah we've all heard it before C, just power down and let me finish." She continues rambling on, looking over his shoulder and dreaming. "...I'm going to live by myself and have a farm with all kinds of aminals, isn't that right Siren?" The tiny pup bulldog yipes up at her as she waddles into the room, her tail wagging wildly at the sight of the two. "Yeah well it'll suit me just fine if you do. Just don't go wandering off anymore, okay? You know I gotta keep an eye on you till Mom and Dad come back....

~*~END FLASHBACK~*~
She laughed and looked up to him once more. "I'm going to miss you so much." She buried her face into him and took a deep breath. "Well, its time you got going big bro. You wouldn't want to be late." *She pulled away and smiled, her heart aching with pain. She realized only then that he too had been crying, and she hugged him tight once more, then turned him around. "Alright you Guardian, its high time you go mend and defend! Shoo! Git!" She laughed painfully, and he chuckled as he turned around slightly to look back at her. Without another word, he opened up a portal, and waved. CG stood there, and raised her hand slightly, her hair blowing in the breeze, as she watched him leave their home forever. The portal closed, and she whispered to no one in particular. "I love you B..."

5 Years later...
The motorcycles roar by as her and her friends rip through the streets of their hometown. She laughs a wicked laugh and turns a corner, the others following close behind her. They stop at a nearby hangout and dismount, her last. She slides off the bike, her black leather shorts and matching jacket creaking as she moves. With her legs practically covered in long black high heeled leather boots, she steps down hard on the pavement, and walks to the entrance, kicking the door in. Those with her follow close behind, and she points to a nearby booth where an innocent family of binomes sit eating their dinner. The group quickly harrass the family, throwing their food away and pulling them out of the booth. Once done, she slides herself in, and gestures to the waitress. "I would like an energy shake, and I would like it two minutes ago. Get it? *she smiles a big fake smile and issues her away as the rest of her group laugh. The group talk loudly and disturbingly, but CG sits there silently, and stares out the clear wall that the booth faces. She catches a movement out of the corner of her eye, and turns to see Turbo bust in the door. She smiles intrigued and whispers. "Finally, something fun to do." He walks up to her and looks directly at her, despite all the others in the group. He raises his hand and gestures to her. "You. Outside. Now." The group make ooohing sounds, but she raises a hand up to stop them, and slips out of the booth, following Turbo outside. She smiles and leans on a nearby pole as he stares at her sternly. "Ya received yer assignment over a cycle ago, why haven't ya responded yet? Fer that matter, why do ya hang around this place with this riff raff?" His eyes soften as he looks at her, a shadow of the girl he once knew. (She was so proud to be a guardian, she tried so hard. What could've happened...) His thoughts are interrupted by her laugh. "Oh please Turbo, why should I go off and defend some system I don't even know...I'm perfectly happy here with my 'riff raff'." she chuckles and leans up closer "Besides, you'd miss me too much, you ol' fool." He shifts his feet a bit and looks down to the ground. "Thats neither here nor there. Ya worked hard to get to where ya are, and now yer throwing it all away. I just don't get it CGdles, why?" A look of regret crosses her face for a moment, and she looks to the ground. "I just don't have any reason to anymore..when Bob was here..." *She felt her eyes swell up with tears, and stopped talking so that she wouldn't cry. She brushed the thought away quickly, and looked back at him with her cold eyes. "Its just not my thing anymore, got it?" She smiled one of her trademark fake smiles, then blew him a kiss and walked off, leaving him there. He turned to watch her walk back into the diner, and sighed a heavy sigh. "She was so promising, so headstrong, so full of hope...so beautiful." He kept his gaze on her as he opened up a portal behind him and stepped back into it, unaware of the presence that had watched them this whole time. As the portal closed, a sick and disturbing laugh comes from the shadows. A woman steps into the light, a frighteningly beautiful woman, and she laughs even louder as she floats towards the diner. She walks to where CG had just gotten back to her friends, and grabs her by the neck. "Hello there young one...you will be of SUCH good use to me...ALL of you!" She cackles and transports CG as well as her friends to her lair, where infected binomes waited with weapons pointed at them. The punks raised their hands in fear and obedience, but not CG. She stood with her eyes blazing in fury, as Daemon held her still by the neck. However painful, she growled out to the virus. "Who are you and what do you want with us?" Daemon let her go, and stroked her smooth chrome hair softly, almost lovingly. "Oh its simple my dear CG. I am Daemon, Supervirus. I plan to infect and control the Supercomputer, as well as all the web and net. But I will need you dears to help me catch all the more 'obedient' guardians first. You pathetic rebels are always so easy to control! And you will be the bait that lures them all to me!" She laughs loudly and loses her gaze on CG for the moment. CG uses this distraction to her advantage quickly, and portals herself out of there. She can hear Daemons laugh quickly turn into a scream as the portal closes behind her, and she zipboards home at an alarming rate. As she reaches her doorway, she finds her body completely shaken. She walks in and her mother and father stand there preparing to lecture her. Instead they find a shivering, crying girl before them, and rush out to catch her as she begins to fall into a faint. "CG what happened? Are you alright??" Her father sweeps her up in his arms and brings her over to lie her down on the couch. She tries to take a deep breath, and explains to him what just happened. "Daemon..I've heard of her. Turbo was telling me of the problems she's been causing all over the net. But she won't get you sweety, thats a promise." "But Daddy she knows where I am, she knows everything..." As she lies there shivering, he devises a plan to hide her quickly. "We don't have much time. Get yourself into this containment field behind this wall. It was meant to protect us in case of a power loss, but it'll do just fine as a hiding place. Once you're in I'll seal it with an anti-virus shield. No matter what she won't get to you." She sits up slowly, and her bulldog Siren jumps up into her lap. She picks Siren up and walks into the containment chamber, and her father closes the wall and seals it. He looks over at his wife, and pulls her into his arms as she begins to cry. "How long will she have to be in there Ram?" "Not long I hope. I'll contact Turbo and let him know whats..." As she speaks a rift opens up in front of them, and Daemon steps out, followed by all of CG's old friends, now completely infected. CG gasps softly as she looks at them, and realizing that could've been her..her fear turns into an anger. A rage build up once more in her body, a rage she hasn't felt in so long...and her eyes burn with hate. Daemon steps up to CG's father, and grabs him by the neck. CG's mother yells out and Daemon gestures for one of her goons to hold her. She looks dead on into his eyes, and speaks. "I will ask this question only once, old guardian. Where is your daughter??? Mind you, I have other ways to make you talk...so speak wisely old one!" As she speaks her claws lengthen to a point, and she caresses his cheek gently with them, a trickle of blood left behind as they cut his skin. He flinches slightly at the pain, but glares back at her with a hatred. He speaks low and calmly, his voice faltering only once. "My daughter isn't..isn't here VIRUS . Now why don't you just leave me and my family alone and crawl back under the rock you came from!" She laughs at his impudence, and sets him down. As she does so, she lifts her hands and brings them to his neck, one of her claws slowly and painfully sliding right through and puncturing his nervous system. He convulses for a moment, and his skin turns a sickly shade of blueish green. His temples pulse and and infection grows over them quickly, and she retracts her claw. As CG watches this, she breathes out a silent 'no'. She hears her mother echo her thoughts as she yells out. "NO!!! RAM!!!!!" She tries to free herself, and Daemon gestures for the goon to let her go. She falls to the floor, and gets up, stumbling towards her husband. She looks into his dead and empty eyes, and gasps. "No, Ram fight it...please..." Daemon laughs and waves her hand. Immediatly, Ram stoops down, picking up the sword CG had left behind when she stumbled in, and holds his wife by the throat. CG opens her eyes wide as she watches her father slide the sword through her mothers body quickly, then pull it back out again and throw it away. It lands right next to where CG is hiding, and she trembles at the sight of her mothers blood on it. Ram throws his wifes body to the other side, and begins to turn around, heading for the wall. CG stands there, her eyes closed, and just repeats to herself.."No..that man is not my father, not anymore..he is not my father..." She yells out and pushes the wall open, grabbing the sword and swirling around in one movement, digging it deep into her fathers body. She is still yelling as she pulls the sword out, and only stops once he drops to his knees. She gasps at the sight, and looks once again at her sword, now dripping with both her parents blood. She looks once again with wide eyes at her father, who held his bloody hand out to her, and whispered to her. "Thank you Princess." He fell to the ground. A few nanoseconds of silence pass, only to be broken by Daemons evyl laugh. "You fools! Did you really think you would survive this ordeal? Now come CG, we have work to do!" She smiles and holds her arms out open for CG. "I am your only family now." CG blinks as she hears Daemon say family. She looks at her father and mother, and at Daemons waiting arms, and her heart beats with anger and fear. "Family..." she says as she walks up close to Daemon, almost within her reach. She smiles up at her, and lifts her sword, thrusting it into Daemons unprotected midsection. Daemon screams out in a high pitched yell, and CG quickly programs Astra to open a secured portal to Mainframe. As the portal opens, Daemon lies on the floor in agony, clutching the non-fatal but still terribly painful wound, and reaches out to CG. CG just spits at her and yells as she steps through the portal. "I DO have family Daemon! You will never win as long as me and Bob are alive!" She turns to jump in, and hears Daemon cry out as she and Siren go through and the portal begins to close. "YOU WILL NEVER BE SAFE FROM ME GIRL!!! I WILL FIND YOU!!" The portal closes and she finds herself in a dark alleyway. She scans with Astra and confirms her location. "Well Siren, we're in Mainframe alright. Its time we go find Bob. He's..all I have left..." She hops on her zipboard and stands there for a moment, looking around her at the foreign surroundings, and begins to cry silently, the images of her mother and father once again flooding her mind. She stands there and puts her head in her hands...and in the silence she raises her head and yells. Her cry echoes throughout the sector, and ends in a slight whimper. She sighs softly, and looks to Siren, who look up at her and whimpers as well. She looks forward. "He is all I have left." She starts up her zipboard and starts off towards the PO.
