Third Person POV

“No!” Students huddled around in the undersized wooden lunch tables, turned their heads towards the roar that was let out. “You’re a- Ugh!” Jasper Hale shook his blonde hair violently at his friend. Well aware that people were staring. But it was something he had come accustom to these past years. His friends and Him, were always the center of attention. And not in the good way. People thought they were freaks.

“Face it-” His best friend, Emmett Cullen said with a smirk on his pale face. “It’s a brilliant plan.”

“It’s a fifty percent loss, Emmett!” Jasper said through his teeth. He didn’t know how someone could be so stupid.

Rosalie Hale, Jasper’s identical cousin, rolled her blue eyes at them. It was always just like her cousin, whom she considered a brother, and her Boyfriend to end up in debates. It was always so unavoidable. “Idiots.” She mumbled under her breath. She turned and looked at her two best friends, both sitting on each side of Jasper. Bella Swan and Alice Brandon. Their expressions looking exactly how hers’ was. Annoyed.

“Jasper…” Emmett sighed. “I know it’s hard for a Foreigner to understand our complicated Capitalist system.” He looked at the Blonde male attentively. His face completely serious. “But we are dealing with quarters here….Not frogs or chickens.”

“Oh,” Bella laughed. Along with Alice, who resembled a tiny fairy. Her small pale hand clutching onto Bella’s shoulder. They could always leave it to Emmett to make them burst out with laughter.

Rosalie stared at Emmett. A million thoughts running through her head. And the main one: How could he be so stupid?!

“Well-” Jasper leaned against the pallid wall that stood behind him. Their table was at the furthers corner of the cafeteria, where they currently ate lunch. It was break time in Forks High. “Im not going to dignify that with a response….” His white face was as serious as Emmett’s.

“Because he cant think of one,” Alice laughed. Always on the side of the Joker.

Jasper turned to Alice. Glaring at his small friend. “True…” He nodded at Alice’s comment. “But when I do…” He turned his glare to Emmett.

“Alright, Jasper-” Emmett felt bad. He could see Jasper’s humiliation.

“Kiss my ass fucker!” He hissed at his best Friend. “Im not a foreigner! Im from Texas!” He looked at Emmett incredulously.

Emmett laughed. Waving his palms back and forth. “Touchy.” He teased.

“Leave him alone, Em.” Bella spoke up. The dazzling girl with the even more dazzling brown-eyes. “Cant you lay off of Jasper for one hour? Im trying to enjoy my lunch. Its pretty fucken hard to enjoy my ham-sandwich with you two bitching about another scheme to get rich.” Bella Swan, always a defender to Jasper Hale.

Jasper smiled up at her. “Thanks Bells.”

The brown-eyed girl shrugged. “No problem.”

Emmett snorted. “You know Bella, Jaspers a big boy now. Im sure he can defend him-” Before Emmett could continue, a chair was screeched out from Bella’s right side.

“Hey.” Edward Cullen, Emmett’s younger brother, greeted them.

Jasper glared a bit at the Bronzed-haired Cullen.

“Where were you?” Bella asked, as Edward through an arm around her shoulder. It was the typical boyfriend/girlfriend thing to do. Her voice was irritated.

Edward rolled his eyes. “The Locker, Bella. I was changing.”

Bella’s jaw dropped a bit. “No you weren’t, Edward.”

“Are you going to start so early?” He turned and hissed in her face. “Don’t you think it’s too early for you to start your jealousy scenes?”

“It’s not a jealousy scene, Edward.”

He shook his bronzed hair. “Your unbelievable. Way to go and ruin my happy mood.” Edward stood harshly from his chair. Making it screech louder on the tiled floor. “See you guys later.” He huffed, and walked away from his girlfriend without a second glance.

Emmett cleared his throat. Watching his brother walk away.

Bella inhaled. “Does he honestly thinks Im that stupid?…” She mumbled lightly.

Anger slightly rose inside of Jasper’s chest. “Your not stupid at all Bella. Cullen’s an idiot.”

Alice nodded. “He really is.”

“Lay off him.” Emmett told his friends. “Edward was right. Bella-” He turned to his brother’s girlfriend. “Your being paranoid. I have Edward for PE and he was the last one to come inside the locker room.”

Bella turned away from the older Cullen brother, and looked up to the ceiling.

Jasper shook his head at Emmett. Looking at his friend disappointingly. He hated seeing Bella sad over Edward. She was his best girl-friend. And half of the shit that Cullen put her through was enough to drive her insane.

Emmett shrugged at Jasper. Acting indifferent. But inside he felt bad. He hated making Bella feel worse. But brother’s stuck together. He looked down at the table. He knew perfectly well that Edward should grow-up. And begin to act like he was Seventeen and not a pre-teen. “He didn’t show up for class.” He whispered barely audible to his girlfriend. It was just like Emmett to trust his blonde girlfriend with everything.

From where Bella sat, she made a small shaky noise. Indicating to everyone she was holding in a cry.

Just like always, no one said anything. It was an unspoken rule. Something they were already used to.

And It’s here, where their story starts.
