A/N: I have writers block on Into the Dusk, and Lost love. No worries though, I will update those two, along with my other stories soon. I Know, I shouldn't be starting another story right now, but I can't help it.
The idea won't leave my mind, if you are a reader of my work, you know- I try and update all of my stories on a regular basis. This story won't be different from the others, in that sense.
The thing that will be different on this story however is, that I will change some of the time line. Kagome didn't go to the past(yet), so she doesn't know Inuyasha. Her age in this fic is twelve, I don't know who I will be pairing her with, or if there even will be romance in this story.
But feel free to vote on who you would like to see her with
Xanxus got frozen when he was twenty one, anyways, sorry about any grammar or spelling errors. Hope you enjoy this first chapter.

Disclaimer: I own nothing of Inuyasha nor do I own anything of Hitman Reborn

Copper brown eyes narrowed in annoyance, as the owner looked at the scenery before him. The view was spectacular, Japan was a new place from him.
Though this view wasn't the one he wanted to see at the moment, no what he had been planning to see before this happened, was his adopted father giving the family over to him.
He snarled slightly in disgust, as he landed on a building and looked around the city. Before sighing once more in aggravation. It would have been that way, if his most trusted companion hadn't failed him.
It was no matter to him, he knew even before he had been frozen. That you could never trust anyone, for everyone lied.
Shaking his head, he leaped off the building. Traveling through the shadows the city provided, this wasn't his territory. Though he could take on anyone that challenged him, he would rather not deal with senseless battles.
Looking down on the city lights, he sighed once more. She would have loved this he thought with a slight pang in his heart.
His thought previously hadn't been entirely true, there was one person who he had been able to trust since he first laid eyes on her,
She was the first person, who captured his heart at first glance, and the only person he could ever say that he truly loved, and today was another day he would miss that was important to her.
But she was long gone now, even though after escaping his frozen state. He had searched high and low for her, any that knew of her were no longer around. It seemed like she had completely disappeared.
Or as if she had never existed. But he knew, she was real. He remembering her smile very clearly, her laughter still rang true through his mind.
She wasn't someone that could be forgotten, and he never wanted to forget her. He just hoped that someday, or someway he could see her smiling face once again.
Sensing his companions close by, he pulled from his thoughts and landed behind them. Just in time, as he saw his white haired companion snarling at the youth below them.
Approaching behind them, he laid a hand among the man's shoulder. "Move" he commanded. While he slightly pushed the man behind him, he may have been his most trusted companion but that doesn't mean he had forgiven him for failing earlier.
Ignoring the man's grunt, and his companions bickering that followed. He stared at the beings on the ground below them, looking over each person carefully.
His eyes landed on the infant like person, who stood beside a young boy. He smirked lightly, at the Infants words "There he is...I never thought that the say I see him again would ever come." the infant said in awe, then mumbled his name. "Xanxus"
He smirked at the awed voice the infant held, looking towards the boy next to him. He frowned, his face remained stony as his eyes narrowed in distaste. He got little satisfaction as the boy began to tremble in fear, if anything that just made his bad mood even worse. Watching the boy loose his balance and fall back just by his own glance, it was pathetic. "Sawada Tsunayoshi" he growled out, bringing his hand up.
He heard the gasps of his own companions beside him, "Now way boss, your suddenly using that?" came the slightly frightened voice of one of his minions, Lussuria gasped out. While backing away slowly.
His silver haired companion, Squalo, too backed away while looking at Xanxus shocked. "Are you planning to kill us too?" he questioned. While shielding himself away from the attack.
Xanxus payed no mind to either of them, his attention focused onto the trembling and shocked people below them. His eyes narrowed even further, "Die!" he shouted, preparing himself to launch his attack.
He was pulled off guard as an axe type tool, landed in front of him. Xanxus grunted as he looked at the weapon, today just wasn't his day it seemed.
"Hold it Xanxus, that is enough" A gruff voice yelled from across the way. Xanxus looked in that direction, a look of annoyance upon his face.
"From here on, I'll take care of things" the gruff voice sounded again, the owner of the voice looked shaggy. His hair was messed up, in a sloppy fashion. He smiled at everyone, who was looking at him.
Ignoring the bickering on the lower ground, Xanxus frowned. As he looked the man over, "Iemitsu" he grumbled.
He felt Squalo shift from beside him, withdrawing his swords. "Y..you what are you doing here?" Squalo shouted in annoyance.
"Xanxus, is one of your minions planning to lift up a sword against me, the outside adviser." Iemitsu questioned, while looking at Xanxus with something like disappointment.
Xanxus clenched his jaw, as he looked over at the man with annoyance. He really despised this man, along with his offspring. It seemed being an annoyance ran in their family.
Squalo grunted in annoyance, "Don't stick your comments in now Iemitsu!" he growled out, getting into fighting position. "Your the wuss who can do nothing but run around"
"What!" The youthful boy beside Iemitsu, jumped in front of him. Looking rather insulted at what Squalo had stated before hand.
Iemitsu frowned, "Wait Basil" he commanded lightly. "I wasn't running, I was just waiting for an answer from the ninth." he stated slowly, in a quiet voice.
Seeing their looks of disbelief, Iemitsu continued speaking. "I was questioning the way you guys have been doing your stuff lately, along with the ninths approval" he started, seeing they were all paying attention he continued. "So, I sent messages to the ninth with some significant questions." he finished, while pulling out two rolled up parchments.
"An order that I assume is his reply, has just arrived" he stated, as he held up the parchments.
Xanxus' eyes widened as he looked at the objects held in the mans grasp, grunting lightly in annoyance as he silently wondered what contents were on the papers.
Xanxus caught the paper when it was tossed towards him, unrolling it, he looked inside. His eyes widened slightly as he noticed the dying with flame on the paper.
"That's the ninth's stamp on the dying will flame" Mammon spoke up, as he looked up at the paper in his boss' grasp. "There's no mistake, its a real older."
Xanxus nodded his head lightly, while grunting as he read the words over. As he was reading Iemitsu read it out loud, because his son couldn't read Italian.
"Until now, I thought that the one worthy to becoming to heir was Iemitsu son, Sawada TsunaYoshi, and so I compelled to that." Taking a breath, he continued speaking. "However, lately, because I am nearing the end of my life, my intuitions became sharp. And I've decided to select a heir who's more worthy."
"My son, Xanxus, is the one worthy to be the true tenth" Xanxus smirked, as those words were read. Indeed, that's how it should be. Not that pathetic excuse to the human race down there.
Pausing as he let those who held the letters, Iemitsu continued reading. "But, there will be people who aren't satisfied with this change. Currently, Iemitsu refused to give Xanxus the rings." sighing he continued reciting the letter,
"However, I don't intend to have a useless battle between my own family members, So let us start the traditional Vongola battle. To satisfy everyone" huffing, Iemitsu continued. "So this is what that means, Those who wield the same type of ring, will fight in a one-on- one battle. "
Xanxus smirked down at the youths who were no looking up at him, and his minions. "That sounds fine with me" he stated quietly. This would be easier then he first thought, they had more experience so it was obvious that his minions and himself would end up victor of these battles.
Two females jumped down, both dressed in strange attire, they began speaking. "Thank you for waiting" they greeted. "In this scramble battle for the rings, We'll serve as the judges" the stated quietly together.
Xanxus rose a brow, as he looked over at the others present, smirking as he watched their reactions. The girls further explained there part in this battle, along with how they served under the ninth.
Their speech was cut short however, as they tensed. Noticing the questioning looks they were getting from those present, one of the females spoke up. "There are people approaching, we need to put up a barrier really quick. No one should be able to see through it." they stated quietly.
Without waiting for a response, the girls mumbled a few things. A light shield appeared around those present. All occupants, stood still as footsteps approached. Walking towards them, were four youths, girls that seemed to be around the age of twelve. As everyone watched them approach the barrier quietly.
Xanxus studied the figures with a frown, as he looked over each one, his eyes widened. Its her..He thought with shock.

Kagome stretched a little, from her spot beside her friends. They were currently having a small snack at Wacdonalds, one of their favorite places to go after school.
She smiled lightly, as she listened to her friends chatter about the new boy in their class. He was apparently very attractive, Kagome had seen him, but paid no mind to him.
She wasn't very interested in boys right now, sure some of them were cute. But, she had no important things on her mind. Today was her birthday, hence why her mother allowed her to eat junk food before dinner time.
Her smile dropped at that thought, she knew that her mother wasn't actually her birth mother. She never remembered her birth mother, her birth father had told her that she had passed away after giving birth to her.
She didn't mind, she always had her father. That was all she ever needed. A fond smile came upon her face, as she thought of the last time she had seen her father.

Flashback
* * *
A four year old Kagome brushed through her dolls hair, as she played with them. She was very excited because her father was coming home tonight and she was happy to see him.
He had been on a mission for the last few weeks, and she missed him immensely. He had business with her grandfather, but he had said after that he would come him.
Smiling brightly, she continued to play with her dolls, humming as she did so. Kagome's hums were quieted instantly, as she heard the front door open. Curiosity getting the best of her, she opened her door and peaked outside.
She listened intently, as her smile widened when she recognized the voice. 'PAPA!' she mentally exclaimed.
It was obvious, the her father and the nanny were whispering amongst themselves. Smiling Kagome rose to her feet, and went down the stairs where her father was.
As she reached the bottom, she frowned. Noticing her father was arguing with the nanny about something. "Papa?" she questioned. Gaining both adults attention.
Her father turned around towards her, his hard gaze instantly softening. "Yes Kagome?" he questioned softly, as he approached her. Kagome smiled, her father was very young and handsome.
He had told her, that he had her when he was only seventeen. He was now twenty one, but he still the most handsome male, she knew that much. She jumped at him, hugging her arms tightly around his neck. "I missed you" she mumbled into his neck.
He kissed her forehead lightly, and pulled her back. "I missed you too" he stated softly. Settling her back down on the ground, he patted her head softly. "Were you good?" he questioned.
She nodded her head vigorously. "Yes, of course." she replied, smiling cheekily.
He chuckled, before frowned. Kneeling down in front of her, he looked at her seriously. "Kagome" he stated, getting her attention. "I need to go take care of something, So I may be gone for the night"
Kagome frowned, but nodded sadly. He had just gotten home, but he was leaving her again? Seeing her frown, he chuckled lightly and ruffled her hair.
" I promise, when I get back you and I will spend some time together"
Kagome hiccuped, trying to hold back her tears. "Just the two of us?" she questioned.
He smiled and nodded. "Okay" Kagome agreed.
Nodding her father stood, and dusted himself off. "Be a good girl" he commanded. As he turned away from her, Kagome noticed his face become like stone again, set with no expression.
He gave some quiet instructions to the nanny, before leaving their home once again. Kagome walked towards the window, watching as her father left into the darkened streets.

End flashback
* * *
Kagome sighed, that was the last time she had seen her father. He never came back after that, the nanny had waited with her a few days. When nothing came up, she dropped Kagome off at some building with tears in her eyes, and left her there.
Alone. Kagome hated being alone now, it reminded her so much of that time. She was finally found by the orphanage, she didn't know her fathers or her own last name. So the women took her to the orphanage. She was there for a year, until she was five. Then a Japanese couple adopted her, and brought her to their home country.
"Why are you frowning and sighing Kagome, its your birthday!" her friend exclaimed, a happy tone. "Your finally twelve! You should be happy."
Kagome pushed back the feelings, and smiled brightly at her friends. She hated people worrying about her, "Of course, I am! Thank you guys!" she too exclaimed.
She chatted happily with her friends, till the last of their fries got cold. Looking outside she noticed that it was getting dark, "Hey you guys, we should probably go home now" she replied lightly.
Her friends gasped as they noticed the time, "Your right! lets go!" one of them shouted.
Nodding Kagome, followed them outside. With that the four girls began walking home, as they walked the usual way. Kagome tensed slightly. Something felt off around the bridge they were going under.
Shaking her head, she shrugged the feeling off. As she began walking away, with her companions in tow. She heard a soft thud behind her, looking back.
Her eyes widened, as she took in the appearance of the man.
"Kagome" the man mumbled in awe, it was loud enough that everyone in the area heard it.
Kagome felt her eyes widened, was it really him. But he hadn't changed a day since the last time she saw him. He looked the same as in her pictures, aside from the burn marks on his face and the change of outfit.
He stood there, his eyes widened in shock. He wore a suit, his jacket wasn't worn on his arms, but hung loosely around his neck. It was him, Kagome's face lite up, as a bright smile shined.
"Papa!" she exclaimed. Without thinking about it, She ran towards him jumping ,wrapping her arms around his neck. Much like she use to do as a child.
He caught her and returned the hug tenfold, doing a very un characteristic thing and smiling softly and he hugged her close to his body. Their happy reunion was cut off as a silver haired man began screaming from above.
"Xanxus, what is this all about?!" the silver haired man yelled, not bothering to hide the shock from his voice.
It was then, that Kagome noticed. There were a lot more people around them now, that hadn't been there before. They all wore the same expression of shock upon their faces.
