He remembered the good times when there was nothing that could make him yield; when there was nothing that could be used against him.

He remembered the bitter taste of being wrapped around someone's finger and not even knowing it until the end.

He wanted to go back to the time where being Zero wasn't painful.

Her blood, her tears, her lips; all so treacherous (and sweet, he can't forget the taste) and were scheming from the beginning.

He was her protector.

He was the one she went to first.

And when she bade him farewell that day, he knew:

He was still chained to her.

But that's why he'll still hunt her down.

Because as long as it was her, he didn't mind being manipulated.

A/N: Yeah, angsty characters are much more fun to write (not to mention more difficult). Yuuki was always too soft-hearted for her own good. I thought that maybe Zero had a different perspective on her depending on him all the time.

These will be updated from time to time unlike my main stories. They're drabbles, honestly! And yes, they will all be either this short or a bit longer. Who knows, really.
