Chapter 1-The start of a new adventure!

Welcome to the world of Pokemon! Where magnificent creatures call Pokemon live in peace and harmony. Pokemon are very strange creatures, some are wild while some become partners with us humans. Trainers are people that band together with pokemon and battle other trainers for fun! Me? I study pokemon! But even I know little of pokemon. That's why me, like other fellow pokemon scientist send trust worthy trainers to help us understand these strange creatures. Of course, there are a lot of tales about travelers meeting rare pokemons on there quest. One of them told of a very eager trainer who loves battling and raising pokemon. His name is Kenta! And with him, his friends and pokemon, he defeated the strongest and discover pokemons that no one ever thought exists! This is where the adventure starts, in little New Bark Town...

Normal Point Of View

“Today is the day!” a eager 10 year old Kenta shouted happily, jumping up and down on his bed.

He was dress in a black and gold jacket with a pokeball symbol on his back, he has a black shirt under his jacket. He wears black-gold, fingerless gloves, he wears a long black pants with black-gold sneakers. He wears a hat with a gold design goggles resting on it. Oh, he has red hair. (You know, like Red's in his first generation clothes instead Kenta's is gold-black colored)

“This is the day when I will go on my journey to become pokemon master!” he said again excitedly, after watching a battle between a trainer and gym leader Falkner on his TV.

“Hurry up Kenta! You don't want to be late! Melody is waiting for you, hurry up!” Kenta's mom call from downstairs.

“Coming mom!” Kenta said, putting a map in his bag and turning of the TV.

“Come one Cyndaquil, Melodyis waiting for us!” Kenta shouted at the little pokemon sitting down on the ground. When he had found Cyndaquil, he was 9 years old, so he wasn't allowed to put Cyndaquil into a pokeball until he was 10.

“Cyndaquil!” it said, just as excited has Kenta and follow him out of his room and downstairs. Once Kenta reached downstairs, his mom grab him and crushed him in a big bear hug.

“I can't believe that my little boy is leaving!” Kenta's mom said, bawling like a baby and crushing Kenta with her hug.

“M-m-mom! Don't worry! I will visit sometimes and promise to catch a lot of pokemon!” Kenta said, taking a few breaths after the bear hug had stop.

“I know you will... oh here is a phone card and a PokeBeeper... you know how to use it right?” she asked handing him over the phone card and a fancy cell phone (I am not sure how a PokeBeeper looks like... so don't shun me!)

“I sure do know how to use it mom!” Kenta said, putting the items in his bag. His mom nodded.

“Remember to be careful and do visit sometimes, you hear?” she said, walking over to the family table and sitting down, turning her attention to the TV.

“I will mom! Come one Cyndaquil! Lets go!” Kenta said and rush out of the house with Cyndaquil on his tail. Once Kenta exited his house, he was welcome with the familiar scent of open fresh air and the smell of tree barks!

“Hello Kenta” Melody said, waving at him while sitting down on a bench.

She was wearing her favorite clothes with her favorite color... pink. She wears a long skirt, with matching pink (and blue) sneakers. She wears a pink top with some matching pink, white and blue gloves. Kenta hate the color pink, he thinks its a little girly but he never tells her. Kenta wave back.

“Sorry to keep you waiting, ready to receive your pokemon and pokedex?” Kenta asked, sitting down on the bench.

“I sure am! Hello Cyndaquil” Melody said, watching the little pokemon resting on the spot beside Kenta. Cyndaquil look up and smile.

“Cyndaquil” it said happily. Melody giggle.

“Well we should be going to your dad right?” Melody asked, sitting up. Kenta nodded and they both walk down the path leading to the lab, with Cyndaquil tagging between Melody and Kenta.

“Say, where is your little friend? Caterpie?” Kenta asked, noticing the first time that the little bug pokemon is nowhere in sight.

“I put him into a pokeball” she said, holding up a red and white sphere capsule.

“Why?” Kenta asked confuse.

“My mom said it's better if Caterpie stay inside a pokeball” she explained. After a minute or so, they have arrive at the front doors, leading to the lab.

“Let's go before my dad gets worried” Kenta said, walking through the slide doors. Once Kenta and Melody (and Cyndaquil) step inside, they have to cover their eyes to block out the lights. It feels like the sun itself is staring down at them! Machinery is everywhere, tables with books and documents are sprawl all over. There were some posters with pokemon on them. Five or more large bookcases were around, with large books in them.

“Oh, Kenta! Melody! You are finally here” Kenta's dad said, research assistance to professor Elm.

“Hey dad, sorry for being late I... well...” Kenta stuttered.

“He slept in late again” a little girl's voice said. Suddenly Kenta was knock down to the ground by a laughing girl. Her long silky red hair was in his face and it make him want to sneeze.

“Kenya! Get off of me!” Kenta shouted to his 7 year old sister. She got off of him and pouted.

“You are such a meanie! I just want to say bye to you and Melody!” she shouted and kick Kenta on his knee.

“Ow! Get back here!” Kenta growl, running after a laughing Kenya in the lab. Melody and Kenta's dad sweatdropped. Kenta's dad sign.

“I hope nothing gets broken...” but he was cut off by Professor Elm voice.

“Hey you two, that's the fossil machine! Don't touch the red button!” Elm shouted.

“I spoke too soon.”

10 minutes later off broken stuff, arguments and apologies...

“Okay Melody choose which starter you want” professor Elm said, rubbing the spot where Kenya had bite him.

“Hey! What about me?” Kenta asked stubbornly. Elm sign.

“You already have Cyndaquil” he said shortly. Kenta snorted.

“But Melody already has a pokemon” he said. Elm sign.

“Look, Melody only has Caterpie, which in my opinion isn't really a good pokemon to start off with” he said. Kenta was about to reply but stop when Melody announced her choice.

“I choose this one Professor Elm” Melody said politely, releasing Chikorita from it's pokeball. The small green pokemon look up at Melody and smile.

“Chikorita” it said happily. Kenya squeal.

“What a cute pokemon” she said, patting the pokemon on the head.

“And a very good choice. Here is your pokedex's” Elm said, handing out two small, rectangle devices. Kenta look puzzle at his pokedex.

“Yo Elm (Professor Elm grind his teeth in irritation) why does mine look different from Melody's?” Kenta asked. His pokedex look's thicker and heavier than her's. It was Kenta's dad that answered.

“You see Kenta, in your hand you held the most important pokedex... it's called the world pokedex” he said, taking the pokedex from Kenta's hand. Kenta and Melody look at each other.

“Let me explain, you see me and Professor Elm had created a pokedex that can scan up to 500 different types of pokemon! Thinks of it has a national pokedex, but world wide! Since most scientist only record pokemons in their own region, it would be good to get all newly pokemon” he explain

“We want you and Melody to go around the world, scanning every pokemon you see” Elm finished. Kenta and Melody look at each other shocked.

“You want us to go all over the world to scan every pokemon we see?” Kenta asked, still dazed. Elm and his dad nodded.

“It would be amazing to sit down and have the time to study every pokemon that was discovered” Elm said, thinking of examine every pokemon that was known and creating a biography of everyone of them.

“That is the only know world pokedex ever... so don't lose it!” Kenta dad warn him. Kenta gulp.

“OK...” he trailed off. Elm clap his hand.

“Now back to business! Here is 5 pokeballs and a pokeball belt to store them on. Here is a pokeball for that Cyndaquil of yours Kenta” Elm said, handing out the pokeball's and there belt. Kenta and Melody snap the belt on has well has their pokeball's.

“Alright Cyndaquil, time for you to enter your new home” Kenta said, throwing the ball at the sleeping pokemon. When the ball hit Cyndaquil, it was sucked in. The ball hit the ground and wobble. Everyone look at it until the ball stop moving. Kenta smile and pick up the ball.

“Alright! I got myself a sleeping Cyndaquil” Kenta said, shoving the ball into Professor Elm's face. He growl and swat Kenta's hand away.

“Now that you two know what to do... GET OUT!” Professor Elm yelled angrily and push Kenta out of the lab.

“Hump! He doesn't have to be so cranky!” Kenta said, hoping up from the ground and dusting himself off.

“That is what you get when you annoyed Professor Elm” Melody said, walking out of the lab. Kenta snorted.

“Now that we have our pokemon (finally!) we can start our adventure! Now the map say that the closest city is Cherrygrove City, all we need to do is take route 29” Kenta said, taking out his map and scanning it.

“Now let's go, before Professor Elm comes” Kenta said nervously and walk away with Melody rolling her eyes behind him.

The journey begins.
