Author's Note: By and large, I’m not a drabble person, but this little bit came out and this is simply all there was to it. Anything more added would have been forced. I’m hoping it might turn into a series of similar ficlets that, taken as a whole, might be less drabble-esque.

Dean knew it was called feast or famine, the reason he wolfed down food whenever he could. Those were days of feast.

When it was just the two of them in a motel when they were kids, their dad overdue to return from a hunt, and there was only one piece of bread left... it was Sammy’s. There was no question. Those were days of famine.
