A/N: This is my first attempt at a Spock/Kirk fanfic! :) I recently became a huge Star Trek fan, and in a slasher's eye, Spock and Kirk have lots of subtext between them. I am not convinced that their relationship is a physical one. At least in canon, it is displayed as more of an emotional relationship, rather than one that involves lots of kissing and the like. Thus, I figured my fic should be the same way- emotional fluff. Plus, of course, an AllKnowing!Bones. Enjoy!

In Which Bones is All-Knowing
Bones narrowed his eyes as the door slid open with a whoosh and Mr. Spock entered his sickbay. The doctor had never particularly gotten along with Spock, but he had to put their differences aside since they both worked on the Enterprise. "What is it, Mr. Spock?" he asked.
Spock joined his hands behind this back and nodded. "The Captain is looking quite ill," he reported, "and he refuses to have a proper medical examination. I thought perhaps you would be able to convince him out of his stubborn nature and see what is troubling him."
There was a moment of silence as Bones processed what Spock had just said. "Of course," he agreed. "We can't have Jim sick on the job." He stood and walked past the First Officer, saying, "stay here. I will have him back shortly."
As he walked briskly down the hallway, Bones murmured, "I could have sworn that Spock seemed a little concerned for Jim. Damn him and his emotionless Vulcan nature! I'm going to catch him in an emotional outbreak someday, mark my words." As he rounded the corner, he collided with somebody and stumbled back into the wall. He blinked a couple of times and saw Captain Kirk staring back at him. The man looked ghostly pale and he seemed a bit dizzy. Small beads of sweat dripped down his forehead and neck.
"Damn!" Bones cursed as he surveyed Kirk's condition. "Jim, we need to get you to the sickbay!" He grabbed the Captain's wrist and dragged him along.
"Nonsense, Bones," Jim said, "I'm fine." A shiver ran through his whole body and he retched all over Bones' shoes. The doctor glared at Kirk, who was leaning his full weight against him. "Oh yes," Bones snarled, "you're definitely sick." He scrunched his nose against the smell of Kirk's regurgitated lunch, finally shoving him into the sickbay where Spock still stood like a statue.
"Mr. Spock," Kirk demanded, "did you put the Doctor up to this?" Bones glanced at Spock curiously, waiting for an emotional response.
"You were furiously ill," Spock responded as he turned to face the Captain. "If you remained in such a state, you could have endangered our missions due to impaired judgment, and you could have worsened your condition. Therefore, I asked the Doctor to take a look at you."
Bones sighed in annoyance. Not this time, he thought with disappointment. But I will catch emotion from him. He cleaned his shoes quickly and sat Kirk down; he began looking for the correct cure to give the Captain. At last, he found what he was looking for and inserted it into the needle. "Sit still," he commanded, and stabbed the needle into the junction where Kirk's shoulder met his neck. Bones pushed down, and the medicine drained into the Captain. He convulsed once, twice, and then fell asleep. His skin began to slowly regain its color, and when it was back at its rightful hue in a few moments, Kirk awoke.
"I suppose you were right, Mr. Spock," Kirk admitted, staring at his First Officer and smiling. "I feel much better now. Thank you, Bones."
Spock nodded, his eyes flashing with gratitude as he returned Kirk's gaze. Bones replied, "you're welcome." He was smiling as well, since he had caught the emotion showing through in Spock's eyes. The First Officer spoke up. "Captain, I believe it would be logical to resume your duties at once."
"I will do so right away," Kirk said, exiting the sickbay and heading straight for the bridge of the Enterprise. Spock turned to follow him, but Bones held him back. "Mr. Spock," he asked with a smirk on his face, "I couldn't help but wonder about something- when you reported the Captain's illness, were you actually concerned for him?"
Spock's eyebrows twitched. "I see no logical explanation to your thoughts, Doctor. I simply knew that his condition would have no positive affects on his performance. If that is all, I shall be going now. Good day, Doctor." With that, Mr. Spock turned and left Dr. McCoy standing alone in his sickbay.
Denial is the first step, Bones thought to himself as he took a seat again. I just know that Mr. Spock has feelings for the Captain. And that the Captain has feelings for Mr. Spock. Now if only they would both realize...

On The Bridge…
"Mr. Spock, what is the view from the ship's radar?" Kirk asked, seated in his chair overlooking the helm of the ship.
"Space is clear, Captain," Spock reported from the science station. He looked over his shoulder at Kirk. "You may proceed." He stood and walked over to the chair, placing one hand on the corner. "It is pleasing to see that you are back to normal."
Kirk glanced back at Spock. "Thank you, Mr. Spock," he said, a smile spreading over his face. The human and the Vulcan stared at each other for a second longer than was necessary, and Kirk saw comfort and affection cross Spock's eyes for just a moment. But that moment was enough.
"Very well, Spock," Kirk commanded. "Back to your work." Spock nodded and walked back to the science station, bending down to examine something, as if the small exchange between him and the captain had never happened.
Bones, who had entered just as Kirk had thanked Spock, was standing in front of the door, smirking. I knew it.
