Chapter one
Naruto looked in the mirror and rearranged his tie.
His best friend lay slouched in the chair flipping the channels on the TV.
The blond could see the scowl on his friend's face. Or was it disappointment? The thing though, was that he couldn't remain in the bachelor business any more. He was twenty five and needed to settle down.
Damn, he wasn't getting any younger.
He wanted kids… a family.
Naruto shrugged his broad shoulders and tucked his shirt in as he looked over his big body that he trained over the years by playing foot ball.
Damn right, he looked good. The girls liked him. Actually, they called him daddy. He smirked slowly, his eyes going to the picture of the one that had captured his heart.
Her name was Hinata, and she was a nice girl he was ready to do anything for. So he knew what he was doing. Why then was his friend tripping?
"Your stupid self doesn't need to be at the wedding because either way I'm still getting married," Naruto snapped at him.
"I'm not stopping you. Either way, you're still a fool," Sasuke retorted and got his half-naked body off the couch, disappearing into the kitchen. He came out with a Heineken.
Then he propped down back in the couch.
Naruto didn't know what angered him more. His friend's I-don't-care attitude or his unsupportive spirit. Sasuke was one of those people that Naruto needed back up from for anything he decided to do.
The blonde looked away in annoyance knowing that his glare wouldn't budge his friend. He picked up a rose and stuck it into his left hand breast pocket.
Then, he left the apartment.
He held Hinata's small hands in his, staring in her eyes. "Hinata, from the first time I met you, I knew that my life will never be the same again. I knew that I was going to definitely have kids and a family. But, I also realized that I would have someone to talk to and to cry with. A person that I will laugh with and protect forever. I love you, baby."
Hinata hugged him.
Naruto heard the pastor say, "may the groom kiss the bride."
They didn't even waste time to have that moment.
Naruto knew that he had made the best choice in his life; he lifted the woman up and twirled her around.
He went back home after dropping his girl to her parents' house. Then, he found Sauske snoring on the couch with five bottles of beer rolling on the ground.
He took his shirt off and stretched out. Then he went to the kitchen to get a drink. He couldn't believe that he finally did what three weeks ago seemed impossible to him.
He had thought that Hinata would say no, and even if she had said yes to him, he wouldn't have the money to afford the wedding.
"Hey man, did you bring the ice?" Sasuke asked from the room as he came closer to the doorway.
Naruto had poured lemonade in his cup and groaned. "Damn man, I forgot." Today was his day to bring ice. He would have gone tomorrow, but he was thirsty.
That was how broke they were; they didn't have enough to buy a fridge in the apartment. "Fine, I will go get it now."
"How did the wedding go?" Sasuke asked as he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.
"You would know if you had been there," that was the only reply the blonde gave him before leaving the house.
Sasuke got on his nerves sometimes. He was selfish!
He ran in the dark streets. The only reason Sasuke was still his friend was because the man paid his part of the rent; besides being the only person he called a close relative.
They were cousins.
Naruto bumped into someone; she groaned and crashed against the ground. "I'm sorry, are you okay?" he tried to find her in the darkness.
"Ouch. Help me up!" she shouted at him.
He quickly found her and brought her up to her feet.
She brushed at her skirt and complained. "Damn, you better not have messed up my outfit. I swear I will sue you."
He rolled his eyes wondering why people used that phase when they were just bluffing and trying to copy Americans.
"And I better not have twisted my ankle," she hopped around to make sure that her legs were okay. "You're lucky. You better look where you're going next time."
Naruto just stood there not sure what to do. This was the first time something like this had happened to him. Curiosity hit him though. "What is a girl like you doing on the streets this late?"
She giggled and flipped a flash light on his face. "My friends and I are playing a game."
He gulped. A game? What kind of game? He caught a glimpse of her pink hair and pale, beautiful face. Damn. "Isn't a little too late to be playing a game? It is a dangerous time."
She scoffed at him and lowered the flashlight to his unbuttoned shirt and trouser. "Hmm," she said and touched his washboard chest.
He jumped back and grasped her hand. Damn. He was already starting to miss his past life; he would have serviced this girl already by now.
And she would be begging for more.
But, he was a married man now. And he hadn't done his wife yet, which he was really looking forward to do.
"The game is to find a very cute boy," she seductively licked her lips.
She stepped closer to him and kissed his lips.
Naruto laughed and pushed her back, his hands on her shoulders, which wasn't a good idea. "You will have to excuse me. I have somewhere to be."
"You can't take a challenge!" she dared him with raised eyebrows. "We're going to pay you whatever amount you want if you do us the honor."
Really? If he could make money out of it, he might reconsider. "Let me see your talk…"
She took out dollar-bills bundle and slapped it in his open hand.
Naruto's eyes widened as he tried to count the money. He took the flashlight out of her hand and looked the money over to make sure that it was real.
With satisfaction, he moved closer to the girl. He didn't want to look greedy. But, he really needed money to give his wife the best honeymoon.
"I will give you more after giving us what we want," she purred brushing her hand against his belt.

"Neji, I got married," Hinata said with cheery in her voice.
There was a long silence.
The purple haired female frowned, not liking the silence. "Hello, why are you quiet? I met a good man Neji, and I will introduce you to him next week you come by."
"How long have mom and dad known this man?" Neji coldly questioned her.
She frowned even more. What did mom and dad have to with her relationship? She was the one who was getting married to him, right? "I don't get the question."
"Hinata, I'm not trying to ruin your day, but please answer the question. And I will rephrase it. How long have you known this guy?"
She knew that she shouldn't have mentioned Naruto to Neji, this early. But, she had done it anyway. Now, Neji was acting all overprotective; but she was a big girl and understood what she just did.
"I have known him long enough. He proposed to me and married me, did he not?" she asked him.
Neji was smart like usual, so he said, "you didn't know him long enough, and you married him. What does he do for a living?"
"He is a bartender, Neji," she replied, biting on her lower lip as she sat down on her bed.
Neji sighed from the other end. "Hinita, for all we know, he might be a scam. What's his last name? I will do a background check on him."
"You said he might yourself, so why are you acting like this? I know him."
"Don't make me find out for myself. His full name please," Neji ordered.
She growled and gave it to him, knowing how stubborn her cousin could be.
"Now, that wasn't hard was it?" he muttered and changed the subject asking her about how the company was going.
They talked about other topics before they said goodbye to each other.
Hinata knew that Neji wouldn't find anything on Naruto because her man was clean. But why was she so worried?
She found her phone and dialed Naruto. She wanted to tell him that he would be meeting her cousin soon, and she also wanted to hear his voice before she slept.
He didn't pick up.
Usually, Naruto picked up, no matter what time it was.
It was three in the morning right now. She shrugged her shoulders thinking that he was caught up in the middle of a chore.
He always called her back when he missed her call.
She tried waiting for his call-back but ended up falling asleep.
