The Legend

Prologue

Two legends were prophesied by the stars. They would be the universe's fall or saviors, no one really knows for the battle has yet to occur. Not bound by mortal limitations, they were born time and time again, to prepare themselves for the final day when all the worlds faced their final moments against a being with unspeakable power.

They were a Saiya-jin and a Celestial Being. This was the first legend, two beings that were the most important link to the approaching battle.

The second legend, seen only in the stars, hinted about Five Messiahs: Death, Time, Cosmos, War, and a Tenshi of the stars. They shall arise to combat the greatest threat anyone has ever known. All were immortal in soul, similar to the first legend and also able to be reborn again and again. This is the beginning of my story, almost forgotten throughout the streams of time. Until now, where I have traveled far to uncover the things necessary for our survival.

The planet was Orion, a barren and cold place. It was far different than the one the foreigners traveled from, their home world hot and filled with the purest red sands. They longed for their Northern Mountains, the fierce battles that only one of their kind might achieve. The foreigners were known as Saiya-jins, fierce space fighters that had earned their own reputations. Other planets had banned together, begging this militant group of fighters for their help. Yes, other planets feared them just as much, but far better to face a militant rule than one that killed and murdered on a whim.

The Saiya-jin leader had agreed, taking with him only two others to join in the galactic war. His name was Goten, before the time of King Vegeta, General Bardock, and Kakarot. With strength and power unmatched, he trusted almost no one, only the two he brought with him to battle: Tureli and Barly. This wasn't a normal battle, but a galactic war that had raged for close to three decades, both sides sustaining heavy losses. Many had forgotten why or how the war had originally began, only that the enemy was obvious to all those that wished to return their peaceful existences. The enemy wanted domination, power, and to strike terror into the very hearts of all those that opposed him.

King Ice, an Ice-Jin lord, came from the darkest regions of space, where there was no sun. His kind were able to live hundreds of years and he hated the Saiya-jins. Try as he may, he had so far failed to locate their home world. That was something Goten never told anyone, not even their closest allies. Goten prevented him from obtaining his victory over the weak, rebel forces massed against him. If he might somehow bring down the Saiya-jins, the resistance would fall and he'd rule the entire galaxy. The Saiya-jins, in his eyes, were arrogant, proud, and filled with a disgusting code of honor. He wanted to break that spirit, but Goten stood in his way.

The Saiya-jins huddle around a small fire, trying in vein to stay warm. "I hate this place! It's cold and the creatures can't even defend themselves! Why are we fighting for them?"

Their leader didn't so much as flinch or show his disapproval, but both felt it as he quietly answered Tureli's outburst. "The challenge alone is worth the battle. We can bring down one of the strongest fighters in the Galaxy that no other has done since the beginning of this war. Saiya-jins are not cowards, and you and I both know in order for us to survive we must fight. We do not hide in the shadows and dammit, "WE WILL BE THE VICTORS!"

Barly smirked, shaking the icy rain from his hair. "Look at it this way, Tureli. Once we defeat this idiot, know one will challenge us for a long time. Saiya-jins are feared enough as it is, even if we do stick to ourselves."

"If you wish to go whimpering home, then go and quit pestering us with your constant whining," Goten snarled. Tureli didn't dare say anything else, turning his head away from the intensity of his leader's gaze. Since they were small children, no one had ever defeated Goten. He thought of apologizing, but that was something Goten never did or encouraged amongst his warriors. To him it was a sign of weakness and Goten despised it.

"King Ice will not stop here should we leave and I'd rather not have him on our home territory and that's exactly where he'll go. Maybe not now or tomorrow, but eventually he will find us and I will not have our red sands defiled by that freak!"

"Who said anything about leaving? I just wouldn't mind a warm bed and a woman at the moment." Barly chuckled, but Goten's scowl deepened in total disgust. Goten didn't understand the desire for a woman in the place of combat. He reveled in the scent of blood, the next challenge, and never tying himself to anything that might bring him down.

A mile away, King Ice paced the floors of his throne room, furious that his entire army had accomplished so much to only be stopped by three monkeys. "They're weak and inferior to us! Why can't I destroy them!" He stopped in front of his commanders, his Captain blue in the face. "Is that plan ready?"

"Hai, My Lord." Quickly, the commander pulled out a map and showed King Ice where they were to implement the attacks. "We'll attack here and here, one army in the east and the other in the west. The objective is to separate the Saiya-jins from each other and take them out that way. Without his two warriors, Goten will be left vulnerable to our attacks."

"What makes you so certain he'll even care one way or the other?"

"Then at least we're minus two annoying monkeys, my lord."

"Do it!" King Ice hissed. "And commander?" The Ice-jin's tail wrapped around the toad's neck and squeezed, cutting off his air supply. "If you value this ugly head of yours, I suggest that you not fail me again. Do I make myself clear?"

"Ha..i, my lord!"

"One more thing! I want both of them alive!" King Ice released the commander and smirked as he scurried out of the throne room. "I will have the last laugh, Goten! The Ice-jins are the superior race!"

Later That Evening

Barly and Tureli were immediately awake the moment sirens pierced the quiet of the night. A red glow could be seen from the east and west, confusing the fighters. "Why do they attack two places at once?" Tureli mused.

"It's a trap," Goten snarled. "The idiot thinks to separate us." Goten turned to go back into his tent, unconcerned one way or the other. The attack was not directed at them and therefore he did not care. The battles were always on his ground of choosing, not the Ice-jin's.

"Should we go?" Barly suggested.

"No," Goten commanded, his word law. No one argued with him once he made a decision. Those that chose to go their own way often found themselves dead. Goten was the best they had, a seasoned fighter. Tureli looked angry, but he stormed back in his tent rather than disobey Goten.

"He's still very young, Goten."

"What do I care?" Goten growled. Barly knew better. If Goten truly didn't care, he'd have not bothered to keep them in the camp. Their leader didn't shower them with praise or kind words. He didn't have to.

Far away, observing the fight with sad eyes, was a woman with golden eyes. Close was her only friend, the guardian of time. "The end approaches," she sighed in weary sorrow.

A hand rested upon her shoulder and the woman looked into garnet eyes of her best friend. "Ceres, please don't go. This is a war of mortals, not for the likes of us."

"What do you see when you stare into the portals of time, Pluto?"

"Death... darkness..."

"Then you know why I must go. Besides, you and I both know that Goten is not a mortal. He never has been and deep down he knows this."

"Ceres!" Pluto cried, wrapping her friend in a hug. "Please, stay here! You know what will happen if you fight their battle! Why, why do you continue to fight for a thankless cause?"

"He is why? For ten thousand millennium I have waited. The Messiah of War shall re-appear again in two days time." Ceres pulled away from Pluto and stepped towards the rainbow portals. "I have chosen my path. It's been long and lonely. You're right, no one thanks me for the sacrifices I've made. Mortals, in general, are evil natured and selfish."

"Why him, of all the people you could have chosen to protect? He's as savage as the Ice-jin that he fights and he has always hated you!"

"Savage at heart, but true to what and who he is, Goten is unlike any you will ever witness again. No one can rival his power, not even the senshi of the Cosmos. I knew him once... a very long time ago. Most likely once he regains his memories he won't forgive my interference."

"Who is Cosmos? Time will not say."

"She has yet to be born. Pluto, wait for us... The final battle approaches, but there is still time."

"Ceres..."

"I need the rest, Pluto. I'm so very... very tired. The loneliness, it hurts. Why did they turn their backs on me? All I've ever wanted was to protect everyone. Is there no love for any of us? Will we forever be trapped to fate's hands."

"I thought you didn't want..."

"Oh Pluto..." Ceres gave her friend a sad smile; "Everyone desires love and affection, even from those that have forced me into exile."

Pluto sadly watched her friend leave. Like Goten, Ceres desired solitude, a warrior of destiny. She was the first, a Tenshi of the heavens and had been searching for the four that would complete the prophecy that had set her on her path.

Goten tossed away the scrap of meat he had been chewing on, his eyes locked on the dying glows of the two camps. A part of him wanted to answer the obvious challenge, but he didn't like the feeling it gave him and he always trusted his instincts. King Ice had grown desperate and it was only a matter of time before he threw everything he had at Goten and his two companions. He often didn't concern himself over what ifs, but he had a nagging feeling that this was perhaps their last stand. Goten shrugged. If they were to die then so be it, but not without taking King Ice with them. Several gasps and shouts of alarms broke Goten from his thoughts, people pointing at the sky as something flew towards them. Tureli and Barly came up beside him, their eyes focused on the strange creature quickly approaching. The last thing any of them expected was a woman, her black hair whipping about her face, and her golden eyes rimmed in red. "What the hell is she?" Barly asked. As far as they knew, nothing other than the Ice-jins or Saiya-jins had the ability to fly on Orion.

She felt familiar to him, as if he had seen her somewhere long ago. He bared his teeth, a snarl of rage at the unknown female. Barly and Tureli slowly stepped away, recalling the last person that enraged their leader. Easily she landed in the middle of the camp, ignoring the weapons pointed directly at her and stared straight at Goten. Hugging her slender form was a black dress with stars on the sleevs, defining her every curve. Everyone waited, staring at Goten, their unspoken leader amongst the group of fighters.

"Can I have her?" Tureli asked. Her golden eyes flashed in outrage, and Goten found himself intrigued despite his feelings about women on the battle front. She had definitely heard Tureli, her expression on the borderline of contempt.

"I've come to give a warning, Goten." Her voice stroked over his skin like a warm fire, seeping into every part of his body until he no longer felt the biting cold of this barren planet. Goten hated it and snarled in fury. Her eyes seemed to laugh at him, as if she had access to his mind and sudden discomfort.

"Go away," he growled.

"No."

Tureli whistled in astonishment, already edging away. Very few people said no to Goten, and not one ever survived. Goten didn't often discriminate either, killing both women and men alike. Without warning, Goten fired at her, but just as the ball of fire almost slammed into her, she was gone, laughing as she floated over the black crater beneath her feet. "Is that all you have?" she taunted. "Perhaps I was mistaken and you're not the one I seek."

Even Barly knew better than to stand anywhere close to Goten at this point, everyone in the camp moving as far as they could to stay out of the impending battle. She might as well have challenged Goten, her golden eyes glaring at him in bored contempt. Again she dodged another series of blasts, each one intent on destroying her. If they thought Goten was mad, that was an understatement when he roared in fury and charged, snatching at her long hair and missing as she deftly avoided his every move. "And here I thought Saiya-jins had some intelligence. You can't even think you're so angry."

Tureli and Barly stared in stunned disbelief as she continued to enrage Goten, but easily stayed just out of his grasp. She may have entered their arena, but it was clear who had the upper hand in this little battle and it wasn't their leader. Tureli started to jump in when Barly gripped his arm and yanked him back. "If you learn nothing else; don't ever disrupt a challenge once it's been accepted."

Growing bored of their little game, Ceres stopped dodging and began blocking his attacks, slapping away his energy blasts as if they were annoying insects. "Are you done with your tantrum yet?" Ceres forgot how much fun this had been, but she knew he'd not remember. He had always hated how she never submitted to him then and hated it now. Sadly that was the past and this was now, with serious consequences if she failed to at least get Goten to listen to her. The only thing he respected was strength, power, honor, and courage. She didn't dare run now, even if he was the strongest.

"You're much better than a bunch of petty tricks, Goten!"

He stopped, pausing to study this slip of a woman for a moment. It seemed he was at a huge disadvantage. Somehow she knew his every move, danced out of his way as if he were standing still, and had the gall to publicly flaunt that he was holding back. He hadn't even used a tenth of his power, and most of the time he considered it an insult to have to even use it, but with her he might make an exception. Still, there was that nagging feeling that he knew her, and it bothered him. He usually avoided women as a rule. Such a female like this one proved a valuable prize among his kind.

Her golden eyes flashed, a flicker of fear in their depths. She's a telepath. The fear turned to panic, but she still didn't run. "Petty tricks," he purred quietly. Goten quickly regained control of his anger and concentrated, creating several balls of energy that began to circle around him. "As a child, we often played tag. A mistake landed you in the infirmary for several weeks." Soon he had about thirty in the air, still spinning and growing in power and intensity. Goten definitely found her intriguing. The girl was terrified, and yet she stubbornly faced him. You seem familiar with my kind. Are you aware of what happens to females that challenge us and lose? If she's already taken, we normally kill her. If she's not... He didn't finish, watching the realization quickly sink into her already panic stricken mind.

You have no time for women, she hissed mentally.

Goten launched them simutaneously. One or two she might have been able to dodge, but not thirty. He ensured they took her from all sides, giving her no room to go up or down, left or right. He had no idea what to find as he approached her, waiting for the bright light and smoke to fade, but just as he thought he'd find only a big black spot on the dirt, he felt a pure light slam hard into his chest and fling him back. She had been the first since he was five to injur him, and Goten could only stare at her in open mouth astonishment. Just in time, she had put up a barrier, but had not gone unharmed. The woman had very little energy left and Goten took full advantage of her exhaustion and attacked. Despite that, she struggled for another five minutes, blocking a majority of blows before one broke through and drove into her stomach.

Ceres sank to her knees, gasping for air, waiting for the final blow. Strong fingers traced the outline of her face, moving to her chin to force her to look at him. "Why? You knew that I was the stronger, and yet you initiated the challenge anyway."

"It's the only thing you respect."

Ceres slumped into him, allowing the darkness to claim her. Goten had no idea why he didn't just kill her, he had every right. Yet he found himself hesitating. He did respect power and courage. Goten cursed, but tossed her over his shoulder and glared at the entire camp before leaving their little arena. He stormed past Barly and Tureli with the unconscious female. "Are you saling her?" Turlei asked hopefully.

"Idiot," Barli growled. "The last thing we need is a girl of her power on Vegeta-sai."

"Think of the brats!"

Goten said nothing, moving into his tent and tossing her on his simple bed. It was mostly made of fur and blankets, but it kept him warm at night. "Do you plan on taming her then, Tureli?" Goten growled. "Should prove entertaining."

"More like embarrasing when she kills him," Barly sneered. Curious, he studied her, intrigued how something so small held so much power. Even stranger was that Goten hadn't kill her the moment he had won. It wasn't like their leader and judging from the red light in his dark eyes he still struggled with the idea. "What is she?"

"No..." She started to fight in her sleep, dark energy building around her. "Hyperion..." The name was like a cold bucket of water, jolting Goten hard. It was as if he were in a completely different time and place, surrounded with different people that were believed as a myth and superstition. "Stop..." Her struggles became more violent, the air around them churning and twisting.

Nothing made sense any longer. What were these memories, what did they mean, and how the hell was she here? "Ceres," He snarled. Granted, it had been a very long time ago, and he had only seen her a few times and he had been someone else. She had been banished from their home, determined to follow a prophecy rather than obey their laws.

Yet that wasn't his home anymore. Vegeta-sai was now his home, wasn't it? What the hell was happening to him? He did't dare kill her until he had his answers. Goten didn't have time for this, not with a galatic war at the edge of his camp. First things first, he needed to wake her up before she destroyed his tent and anything or anyone in range. Was this the power the others had feared? So many questions and he was certain she had most of the answers. Moving to the bed, he knelt, lifted her and walked back outside to the small pond at the edge of their camp. It was probably a painful way to wake her, but he didn't have much of a choice as he lowered her in, wrenching her awake. She gasped, her body trembling with the cold pain that zapped her strength. Suddenly he surrounded her with warmth, but it took Goten nearly an hour to rid her of the hypothermic cold that would have killed anyone else.

"Give me your warning, Ceres."

She considered defying him, but then remembered the horrible nightmare. Too much depended on Goten, regardless of her pride and the anger she felt at her long exile. "In three days time, King Ice will send his army against yours. Not one will survive, but King Ice and he shall bring upon your kind a terrible slavery that will not end for many centuries. They will forget the pride of your people, live only to serve the Ice-jins, and lose all hope of freedom."

Goten didn't want to believe her, but she didn't care if he did or not. Ceres had come, knowing he'd fight and possibly kill her. "Saiya-jins don't run."

There was such sadness in her eyes, but he steeled himself against it. He refused to care. All that he lived for was to fight and if he should die then so be it. That just means his opponent was stronger and he deserved his fate. "You're such an idiot," she hissed in despair. "You were in the past and you are now! Why is it that no one ever listens and chooses death over life! Mortals are complete idiots, but you have no excuse! I see it in your eyes that you've begun to recall your past memories, but you're going to throw it away and for what? Your stupid pride isn't worth the slaughter of your entire race!"

He had tuned her out, leaving her in the tent without another word. She thought of leaving, to rush back to the time gates, but she had no choice. Ceres had to somehow win Goten over.

"Do you believe her?" Broly asked three days later. Everything had been silent after the destruction of the western and eastern cities. Goten was so powerful that Broly didn't have the ability to comprehend is defeat.

"To turn my back is the same as admitting defeat."

"And the woman?"

"I do not keep her here. She is free to stay or leave. If she speaks the truth, then it's her own fault if she dies on this battle field."

Tureli turned and glanced at the pale figure, hovering just inside the tent. Her expression, if it were possible, saddened. It was impossible for her to over hear them, but she knew. Goten wasn't about to change his mind, so why did she stay? Curious, he went to her, and strangely he didn't try to take advantage like most women the Saiya-jins had conquered. "You knew he'd ignore your warning, didn't you?"

"It's who he is," Ceres sighed. "I had hoped things might have changed with him, but Saiya-jins have always been stubborn and proud."

"He's different somehow," Tureli blurted out. Why was he saying so much? Goten didn't even like her. To be honest, he appeared to hate her, but he refused to kill her. Tureli struggled to understand, but found it impossible.

"Goten is very special, Tureli. He fears nothing, to the point that it will be his downfall."

"You truly believe that we'll fail," he growled. "Are you trying to dishonor us?"

"Dishonor? What is honor and pride if you're too stupid to choose another time and location for a battle? Remember this Tureli, long after this battle has taken place and you regain your memories in your darkest hour, that he will come for you."

"Stop speaking nonsense woman. If we're dead, how is he going to come after us?"

"Why explain what you don't believe?"

Tureli crossed his arms and glared at her, stubbornly waiting for an answer. "Try me. You never know. If not now, I may believe you if your nonsense does come true."

Ceres sighed. What difference did it make if she told him or not? "Touch my hand Tureli; that is if you're not afraid."

He snarled, but took the bait. Tureli sat at the edge of the bed, his hand touching hers. At first he felt nothing, only a deep darkness and a loneliness that he had no concept of. She was thousands of years old, having wandered the stars an outcast. He witnessed hundreds of battles, sensless murder and death, and yet she continued on. She had died, she had been reborn, and yet she always searched for a way to fulfill the prophecy foretold in the stars.

Hated and feared, she avoided her kind until they too had vanished, destroyed by the very enemy they fought on Orion. She had sacrificed so much, but forbidden to help when it had mattered the most. Ceres knew Goten wouldn't listen, he had been so stubborn in his former life, just like he was now. Tureli saw everything that had been, what was, and what will come to pass or may not come to pass.

He finally jerked his hand away, his cheeks wet. Startled, he found himself crying, and tried to wipe them away. Horrified, he ran from the tent, making sure he kept his back to Barly and Goten.

"What the hell?" Barly stuttered. He took off after the younger Saiya-jin, not trusting to let him wander alone. Goten growled, taking off in another direction, his thought murderous. She didn't flinch away when he grabbed her arm and hauled her against him.

"Why do you refuse to fear me, woman?" And she didn't. Ceres turned her head away from him, not wanting him to see how much the visions had affected her. Allowing Tureli to see them, she had relived all of them herself, as if they had happened moments ago rather than over several life times.

"He asked a question and I answered it."

"Stay away from them," Goten snarled.

"You know damn well I've never listened to someone ordering me around and I'm not about to start now!"

"You and I are not mortal!"

"You think I like the idea that I can never die and move on, that I have to be re-born again and again? Just get it over with Goten. You've hated me for a long time. At least I won't have to remember anything for awhile."

"I'm not killing you. Exiled or not, destroying you is strictly forbidden."

Goten abruptly left, refusing to feel sorry for her. He wouldn't. Still, he found it next to impossible to sleep and not see her golden eyes staring at him. She didn't repeat her warning, but it didn't go away either. It didn't matter. Goten hadn't run the day Hyperion had attacked Olympus and he wasn't about to run now. He didn't know if he hated Ceres for leaving, or for being right before the Gods had exiled her. If he wanted to be honest, he hated himself for not defending the girl as he should have done. She had defiantly stood her ground before them all, knowing the consequences if she chose to follow a destiny rather than the ruling of Zeus. With grace, she had left, but at a terrible price. They had managed to stop Hyperion for a short time, but she had also predicted that he'd return and the next time they wouldn't be so lucky.

Later that evening, Goten realized she had spoken the truth yet again. Without making a sound, she was suddenly beside him, her gaze staring at the vast army before them. King Ice had decided to pit them all against their forces, determined to make his final stand now and to wipe out the Saiya-jins. "You can leave, Ceres."

"No."

Goten didn't bother to argue with her, but he didn't like the strange feelings he had with her stubborn refusal to leave. Why now? She had never involved herself with the gods before, not after everything they had done to her. "I have my reasons, Goten."

"This isn't your fight!" he snapped.

"It was my fight the moment I saw the future, Goten."

"Dammit woman. Why are you always so stubborn?"

"If you see fit that you must make your stand here and ignore my warning, then I will do the same. It makes no difference if I should die here anyway."

"We're not going to die!" he roared in defiance. Tureli said nothing, strangely quiet after seeing her vision. He had believed her and only hoped that he didn't disappoint her when the time came. I'm not going to remember any of this, am I?

When you need the memories, they will come, Tureli. Her voice calmed him, but he still thought it sucked that he knew they were going to die. He glanced at his fearless leader and wondered if his stubborness was more of a front or if he truly thought they had a chance?

Everything will work out in the end, Tureli. I have to make this stand here and now or the future will die.

Why do you do it? After everything that's happened, you're still willing to fight.

I have to fight for what's right, even if no one else believes or turns a blind eye. Besides, Goten is the key to Hyperion's destruction. Without him, I will fail.

King Ice smiled with satisfaction. He had the superior numbers and it was just a matter of hours before he obtained his victory. His gaze scanned the feeble numbers and paused on the one next to the leader. I've seen her kind before, but where? Several minutes passed and then she smirked. "Impossible! I destroyed your kind!" Goten's gaze flew to her face, but she didn't show the pain of the Ice-Lord's words.

"Does he speak the truth? What happened to them?"

"They were slaughtered! Just like everyone else, the Ice-jins feared and hunted us down until only I survived. If he only knew that I couldn't be destroyed."

She turned away, but then he did something that confused and startled her. He touched her shoulder, his only indication that he cared. "Let's get this started," she hissed, not wanting his sympathy.

In the end, it was only the four of them, back to back as the army pressed closer to them. They were battered and exhausted, pushed to the very limits, but they refused to submit or plead for their lives. It angered King Ice. He had them and he wanted them to scream before they died.

"Surrender to us, Goten."

Goten scowled, rage swirling in his dark eyes. "You don't know us well enough if you'd think I'd surrender to a coward!"

Ceres barely had time to react, watching everything in slow motion. She had forseen this, knowing already what needed to happen. It was the only way to make him understand, and hopefully next time things might be different. It would be there last chance before their battle with Hyperion.

King Ice shot a small beam from his hand, and instead of moving, Goten remained rooted to the spot, underestimating the intensity or lethality of the attack. He had no way to stop her, waiting for the impact when he suddenly found himself thrown to the ground, blood splattering against his face.

Everyone froze, staring at them in utter disbelief and shock. Goten lifted his hands, dumbfounded for what seemed like an eternity and then she collapsed, falling.

Goten, for the first time in two life times, found himself trembling and then he felt them on his face. "Dammit! What the hell? I am not crying! I told you to leave!"

Couldn't...

"Ceres..." he snarled. "You will not die here! I owe no one for saving my life! Ever! Why the hell would you do that!"

It doesn't matter anymore. I excepted my fate a long time ago. I'm just happy this time I wasn't alone. We'll meet again, son of Apollo. Try not to be so stubborn next time.

Ceres closed her eyes, a single tear sliding down her face before she died, leaving Goten shaking with uncontrallabe rage and grief. He had no idea why he'd cry for her, let alone feel as if a piece of him had been ripped out. Goten hadn't even been aware they were connected, and he screamed in rage.

"Crazy onna," he half snarled. "I never did understand you! You're right, this isn't over."

He hadn't wanted to do it, but Goten lost the ability to reason as he glanced up at the moon, allowing it's energy to wash over them. Tureli, without a word, lifted the woman and stepped back as his leader transformed. Yes, they may have lost the battle, but so had King Ice. There would be no victory for either side; Ceres had ensured this in the only way she knew how.

"What are you?" King Ice hissed in fear.

"The Celestial beings weren't your worst enemy," Tureli growled. "Goten was."

The ground shuddered against Goten's challenge. Both Saiya-jins knew it was time, but they didn't have a single regret so long as their homeland remained safe.

He will die with me! Goten shouted in his mind. A shock wave shot through space, taking out the entire system but not before the information was relayed back to his home planet. The only thing his people could decipher was that a large golden Oozuru had taken out the Ice-jin, but was unable to control his own power.

Pluto, "And that is the legend, told by the stars. As promised my friend, I will send you to a time along with Goten where the events will be decided by the Messiahs and their companions." Waiving her staff, Goten would be born from the line of Bardock and Ceres with King Vegeta.
