September 8, 2009 - I know I said I was going to take a break, but after submerging myself in various Vampire movies over the last few weeks, this wouldn't leave me alone. I'm going to try and do a chapter a week. Enjoy!

Author's Note: This is my contribution to the "Harry-as-a-vampire" genre every author has to write about at least once. I will not be following traditional vampire lore. I'm making things up as I go along and hoping for the best.

Prologue...

"Countess."

"Damian. What news do you bring?"

"I have found him, My Lady."

"Where?"

"England. A place called Little Whining."

There was a moment of satisfied silence.

"I will go there myself."

"Are you sure that is wise? He is being watched as we speak. And-"

"And what?"

"There's an unknown magic surrounding the home he resides. It is...unpleasant."

"I will study it."

"And the watchers?"

"Do what you will. They are of no consequence to me."

"As you wish, My Lady."

"You've done well, Damian. Very well indeed."

"Thank you, Countess."

"Send in the Triplets."

Damian bowed to his mistress and left the room. A moment later, the Le Roi Triplets entered. Identical except for the color of their eyes, they bowed.

"You sent for us, Countess?" Josephine whispered.

"I have a task for the three of you." She wrote something on a slip of paper and handed it to them. Desmond, the elder of the three took it to read. He glanced up, passing the paper to Magdalena on his right.

"It will be done, Countess." she said.

"Excellent. Off with you now. By tomorrow, we shall have two new members in our family."

They bowed to her again and left to fulfill their task. Countess Delilah Moriarty stood from her desk and moved toward the window, allowing the beams of the moon to bathe her in its light.

"Soon, youngling, you shall be ours. As it should have been from the beginning."
