Author's note: Sorry for the long absence, I was busy last week. Anyways, thanks for all the reviews, you guys. Without your support, I would never have updated. Also, before this fic continues, I have to tell you all how many chaps I'm shooting for. I am going for about 20-30 chapters, which means, yes, this will be boring in some parts, but they are filler chaps. The action is coming soon, though, I promise. Anyways, on with the chap!

Chapter 13: New Revelations!

Spyro ran out to the others, breathing hard. "Sorry….I'm late!" He wheezed out, breathless.

Cynder smiled over at him, "Don't worry, you aren't."

"Yeah," Blackfrost smirked, "We're just watching those two attack each other." She chuckled, "Seems like those two are having a lot of fun, huh?" Spyro followed her gaze to see Sora and Artemis continue to splash each other.

"Take this!"

"Oh! You'll be sorry!"

"Like I'm so afraid!"

"You should be!"

Spyro chuckled, "Yeah, they seem to be having fun."

Both Sora and Artemis looked over at Spyro, eyes wide, while gripping onto each other. Artemis had her paws locked onto Soras' cheeks, pulling them every few seconds, while Soras' cheeks were starting to turn red and numb. "We're not having fun!" They both shouted.

"Yeah," Spyro mumbled, "Right." He looked over at Umbra, eyes narrowed in puzzlement, "Huh?"

Cynder looked over at him, cocking her head, "What is it, Spyro?"

"Look over at Umbra," He said, refusing to look back at Cynder, "There's something about her," He mused, "Something familiar."

She looked over at Umbra, eyes narrowed, "She's got the same color underbelly as you."

He looked over at her, eyes soft, "She's got the same, slim build as yours."

"She has your powerful wings," She scooted closer to him, swinging her tail gently.

"She has your beautiful eyes," Spyro said, scooting closer to her, gently entwining his tail with hers.

Cynder froze, eyes wide. Her face started to turn red and hot, "You…..you really think I…..have beautiful eyes?"

He looked quickly away, "I….I didn't say that, did I?"

She let out a small, high pitched giggle, "You did, shy guy." She got up, stretching, "I think I'm going to go play in the water." She swung her tail lazily, "Come join me, if you want." She winked.

He shook his head, eyes wide, "Y-yeah. Sure."

She giggled, "Don't be so shy, silly." There was a loud shout, making both Spyro and Cynder jump in surprise, looking around.

"Yeeooww!"

"The w-water! It's c-c-cold!"

Artemis growled, eyes narrowed while pointing at Katrina, "It's h-her! She l-l-lowered her b-body temperature, f-f-freezing the w-water a-a-around us!"

Katrina growled, "That's because you both dragged me into your little fight!"

Soras' teeth chattered, eyes wide, "W-we -d-didn't mean t-t-t-to! It j-just happened!" She ran back to the shore, coughing and shaking, "Jeez! Can't you even play?"

Katrina gave her a weird look, "Play?" She walked back toward the shore, shaking her body to dry off, "Define play."

Soras' eyes widened even more, jaw dropping, "You….don't know how to play?"

Katrina shook her head, "Not really. Should I?"

"Well," Sora said, coming slightly closer, "Playing is….laughing with your friends. Feeling a warm, bubbly feeling whenever you laugh or joke around. Or….," She leapt forward, pouncing on top of Katrina, making her squeal out in surprise. She sprawled out onto the ground, trying to roll over. Sora let out a small giggle, "Or you practice fighting, not trying to hurt one another." She got off of Katrina, "See?"

"Yeah," Blackfrost nodded, "Playing just means having fun." She chuckled, "You should try it sometime."

Katrina rolled her eyes, "Whatever."

Spyro laughed, eyes slightly watering, "I….haven't laughed….that hard….in a long time."

Sora and Katrina gave him strange looks. "It wasn't that funny," Katrina said.

Sora started to chuckle, eyes watering. Blackfrost looked over at her, "What's so funny?"

Sora tried to breathe while shrugging, "I….don't….know!" She tried to stifle her giggling, "His laugh! I….can't help but giggle!" She sniffled, "I'm sorry!" She shook her head, "It's been awhile since I've laughed so hard. Please," She cleared her throat, "Forgive me."

Spyro laughed, "No, no. It's quite alright." He chuckled, "I liked your laugh. It was pretty cute."

Cynder shot him a look, eyes narrowed, "Cute?!"

Onyx padded up to them, keeping his eyes on Cynder while nodded, "Yeah, Cyn. It was pretty cute. Cut her some slack."

Cynder snorted, turning away, "Whatever." She spread open her wings, taking off in flight.

"Cynder!" Spyro shouted, eyes wide.

Artemis stepped forward, shaking her head, "Spyro, don't." She sighed, bowing her head, "She just needs to calm down. Give her some time, she will come back."

Spyro looked away, eyes downcast, "I only hope you're right Artemis."

Sora looked over at him, eyes wide, "She's right. I know she's right." She sighed, "She has to be right."

Cynder flew through the shadows. Somehow, it felt comforting, being back in the darkness. It almost felt like a loving mother to her. She sighed, "I'm not jealous!" She growled, looking down at the ground while blinking back tears, "I'm not." She shook her head, looking back up, and flying on.

Soft laughter made her jump, landing quickly onto the ground. Her eyes widened, looking around quickly. "Well, well," A soft voice spoke, "What do we have here? A little lost lamb, wandering in the shadows."

Cynder narrowed her eyes, growling, "What do you want, Harpy?"

Asuka laughed, eyes twinkling as she slowly stepped out of the shadows, "I want you Cynder, dear." She growled, "You'll make a fine addition to our dark army." Dark tendril began to fly forward, flashing quickly past Cynder.

Cynder cried out, ducking past the tendrils. "Hah!" She exclaimed, "Is that all you got, Harpy?" She growled, rushing toward her, "Not even worth my time!"

Asuka laughed silently, eyes narrowed, "You fell right into my little trap, little lamb." Dark shadows flew past her, shadows twisting and turning around Cynders' body. Cynder cried out in pain, dropping hard to the ground. Her eyes were closed in pain as she howled out, voice drowned out by the shadows. She bared her teeth as her breathing quickened. Opening one eye, she glared at Asuka, who didn't even bat a single eye, "You….harpy witch!" She cried out, writing and throwing her head forward.

Asuka watched, face emotionless, "Don't fight it. Just give in to your hatred and jealously. I know you're jealous of that blue pain, Sora. Use the darkness within your heart to your advantage." She let out a small giggle, "Soon, you'll see it was the only way to go."

Cynder let out a loud, final cry as her body went limp, unmoving. Slowly, she got up, shaking her head, "Ugh, everything's spinning around, making me sick." She let out a small groan, "Stop the ride, I wanna get off." She looked over at Asuka, snarling, "Why are you so close to me?" She slowly moved closer to Asuka, her normally warm, emerald eyes were narrowed, now back as night, "Answer me, Harpy!"

Asuka snarled back, baring her teeth, "Save it and listen." She sniffed, looking around, "Our Master needs help, and I need to kill that wretched Chronicler, Ignitus." She looked back at Cynder, "Think you can block all the entrances while I kill him?"

Cynder sighed, "If I have to, the fine." She spread open her wings, "But I better get some credit for it, though." They both flew up into the air, heading quickly back toward a large building.

Asuka gestured to a small opening, "There! Go through there!"

Cynder nodded, "Right!" They flew inside, landing quietly in the shadows, waiting to pounce. Cynder shook with anticipation. She wanted blood. And she wanted to feel it pool beneath her talons, and feel it drip from her fangs. She yearned to have it stain her tail blade. Her black eyes narrowed.

Asuka stepped forward, eyes twinkling, "Hello, old one."

Ignitus whirled around, eyes wide, "N-no! It's you!" He took a few steps back, trying to keep himself calm, "Stay back!"

"Cynder!" Asuka shouted, "Block all entrances! No one gets in or out!"

Cynder nodded once, "Right." She slinked back into the shadows, body melding with the darkness.

Asuka laughed, "Checkmate, old one."

Sora's head shot up, eyes wide, "Guys! Ignitus need our help!"

Spyro shook his head, eyes narrowed in puzzlement, "How….how do you know?"

"Call it intuition," Sora said, voice dry, "Never mind that!" She spread open her wings, and flew off, heading for the large building.

Blackfrost growled, eyes narrowed, "Sora! Wait up!"

Sora ignored them, landing before the doors, "Hah! Still open!" She ran forward, trying to rush inside. Quickly, the doors slammed shut. Sora growled in anger as she heard several locks bolt shut. "No!" She snarled, bringing her long, slim tail forward, banging into the door. Baring her teeth in anger, she swung it forward again, as the door refused to budge. "No!" She growled, "Let…." Each word was punctuated with a loud slap of her tail against the door, "Me…." She cried out in agony, tears beginning to fall down her face, "In!" She fell to the ground, breathing hard. "Please," She whispered as everyone landed beside her, "Let me in, before it's too late."

Author's note: Okay, no one say Ignitus didn't do anything, because his scene happens next chap, which will be full of torment, which may or may not cause the rating to be changed. Also, the last part of this chap was typed and edited while listening to "All About Us," redone by the Veronicas, originally done by Tatu, which will be recommended for the next chapter. Anyways, please review! I know, lol, this was pretty much another filler chap. Anyone who hates me for hurting Cynder, I'm sorry. I like her, too. But I like both her good and evil form.
