THE PARADOX SAGA

CHAPTER 1: A PERPLEXING INTRODUCTION

"Curse this." Shadow the Hedgehog drops the TV Remote, "Sonic, you remember the time when that fat plumber helped us against the one guy..." Shadow recalled.

"What made you recall that?" Sonic said as he splashed water onto a pill on a plate.

"This stupid infomercial on cooking..." Shadow responded.

"Oh, that!" said Sonic, "Those are those one things that let you cook more than 4 burgers at once!"

"It's a rip-off.," commented Shadow.

"No worries, don't buy it," said sonic," Wait, how'd that made you recall Mario?"

"Mario! That's it! Now I remember him clearly!" exclaimed Shadow.

"Um...yeah. anyways...whatever." Sonic said as he placed the wet pill into the microwave. Shadow takes hold of the TV remote and flips throughout the channels as if he jumped from tile to tile in a slippery room full of cabbage-eating babies.

"Look that idiot who tried to pass that one law evolving the Paradox Event." said Shadow as he laughed. Sonic takes a seat. He starts watching the human on the TV screen. The microwave dings.

"All right! It's ready!" exclaimed Sonic.

"What the heck are you doing?" asked Shadow.

"What am I doing? I'm testing out this pill for Tails." responded Sonic, "See? If you wet the pill and place it in the microwave it turns into food!" Sonic shoves the plate into Shadow's face.

"That does not look normal." said Shadow monotonously.

"What do you mean? Look at the chicken!" Sonic said.

"Sonic! That's not normal! Look at that chicken! It's freaking blue!" screamed Shadow.

"So…it's still cool. Have a bite Shadow." said Sonic.

"No, I'll be back later," Shadow said. He puts on his coat and departs the Castle. Sonic watches him leave.

"Father!" Manik rushes in.

"Yes, Son…?" Sonic asks as he still chuckles about kidding around with Shadow.

"I thought Shadow was evil, didn't he try to re-gain the throne?" asked Manik.

"No, Manik. You see, Shadow WAS evil, I've known him for quite a long time."

"He tried to control the throne to Mobius though." responded his son.

"Yes, but he has changed his evil ways." responded Sonic.

"Okay father." Manik said.

"Go along now, do was you please." Sonic said.

"King Sonic!" Silver barges into the throne room.

"What is it High Official Silver?" exclaimed Sonic.

"King, this is bad, an act of Terrorism is being brought upon the main city!" exclaimed Silver, "I cannot stop this crazy madman!"

"Terrorism?" Sonic stated," who is this? What species is he?"

"Apparently he is a human, not a mobian. He does not look like a normal human though."

"You mentioned terrorism, what is he doing exactly?" asked King Sonic.

"He blew up 2 buildings, and captured 3 citizens." responded the silver hedgehog.

"Command the armed forces to capture him into arrest." ordered Sonic.

Silver flies out of the room and outside. He flies up high into the sky. He sees an overview of the surrounding area.

"I see it!" he exclaimed. Silver charges up and flies into that direction. The human apparently is in a machine. The machine is a giant walker about 12 feet tall, and 6 feet wide, it is metallic and the human piloting it is a short man about the age of 30 or so. He has giant glasses and brown hair on his head.

"Greetings Mobians!" said the human as he spoke into a microphone, which delivered the sound through a speaker and into the surrounding areas of the city. "I come from a distant world, I am only a mere scientist. I mean no harm." Silver floats up to the cockpit window.

"If you mean no harm, why have you destroyed buildings and captured 3 citizens?" Silver exclaimed at him.

" I gathered material samples of the building and I need these 3 of your kind to be tested at my home world." responded the crazed man.

"I'm sorry, but as a high official I cannot let you do that!" Silver shouted. Silver grasps hold of the entire walker with his psychokinetic powers and tries to lift it. It is impossible. Silver grunts and tries to push it away. It is no use, the enormous walker weighs an extreme amount.

"Ho ho! Too heavy for the hedgehog with PYSCHOKINESES? I MUST take you to my lab!" exclaimed the man in surprise.

"No! I will not let you do this!" Silver shouted. He flies up even higher and grasps hold of the nearby air with his PK abilities. He compresses it into a ball of air. "Take this!" Whoosh! The air ball dives towards the walker like a hawk. Pow! It slams into the walker. The walker stumbles and retrieves its balance.

"If your abilities themselves don't hurt me, Air will probably not work my fellow friend." he stated.

"I'm not here to play around, I am a high official!" exclaimed Silver.

"I'm not here to toy either. I need these samples and test subjects." responded the man.

Silver pulls out his telewatch; a watch with a TV screen on it.

"Sonic, I need backup, call the Administrator of Public Defense." Silver commanded.

"Silver, I'll send them A.S.A.P." responded King Sonic.

Silver flies back down to ground level. He grasps a car with his mind and throws it at the walker.

The walker shakes and gets damaged a bit.

"The next time you do that, I'll put the citizens in the path of your projectile. And you don't want that do you?" said the enraged Scientist.

Silver backs off for a moment, semi-scared.

"I got to stall him enough until back-up comes." he thought to himself.

"What? No response little hedgehog?" said the man. The surrounding Mobotropolis area was semi-destroyed due to all the chaos occurring, the once futuristic-looking city was now being evacuated by the commands of the Administrator of Public Defense.

"Sir, I'd like to let you know we all have a life. Life is valued in many civilizations, including ours. I for once wou-" Silver got interrupted.

"Of course life is valued you numbskull!" said the irritated man.

"Then why are you taking these people to their deaths?" answered Silver.

"Who said I was going to kill them? I only need to run tests. Watch what I say, and don't assume things you moronic hedgehog!" shouted the crazed man once more.

"I am not a moron. I was just assuming because you are practically taking them away from their home planet! Who knows if they can even breathe over there!" exclaimed Silver.

"I can breathe here, which means they can breathe over there, because this planet has the same levels of oxygen and nitrogen as my planet." said the scientist.

"How was I suppose to know that? I just inferred that since you are in that machine! Why won't you come on out?" said Silver as he tried to lure him to get out of his machine.

"Go out? You mean like walk on the surface without this machine?" he asked.

"Of course, We'll settle this with no punishment, King Sonic will know just what do." Silver said as he tried to lure him outside.

"Um, okay. I'm going to open the machine now." he said.

Silver walked closer to the machine. "Come on out, we can make peace between our planets!" The man opened the machine. But just as Soon as Silver was going to attack. He shuts it, and activates a capture pod. It clamps shut and traps Silver as if he was a hamster.

"AGH! You liar!" screamed Silver.

"You can't deceive me foolish hedgehog, I have a mind-reading capability installed with this machine for weak minded creatures like you!" shouted the scientist, "especially when they linger very close!" Silver struggles to break free. He tosses and kicks, he psycho-pushes and punches. He cannot escape. But, just in time backup arrives.

"Release the High Official immediately, or suffer us to use drastic measures!" The Administrator of Public Defense had just arrived and delivered the message through megaphone.

"Who are you numbskulls?" exclaimed the man.

"Listen, we will mean harm if you do not release the citizens." shouted the Administrator.

"Release them? Why didn't you say so?" the man releases the citizens, except Silver.

"Hey! What about me?" shouted Silver.

"He said citizens, not High Official." he said smiling.

"Excuse me sir, I said release them, and by that I meant all of them." shouted the Administrator.

"You said Citizens, not High Officials…" he said in a smart mouth tone to him. The Administrator looked enraged a bit.

Silver looks around. He notices an area of the metallic walker that isn't fully plated with titanium. He telewatches the Administrator.

" Hey Cy-" Silver is interrupted.

"Don't call me that! Call me Administrator! This is for legal reasons!" Said the Administrator.

"Okay, okay. Administrator, there appears to be a weak spot on the walker behind him, on the upper part, next to the shoulder of the machine." responded Silver.

"Okay thank you for informing me, if he doesn't release you we will be force to use weapons, I hope you can take a slight beating." said the Administrator. Silver Gulped.

"Okay….I'll try to shield myself with my powers." he disdainfully responded.

Meanwhile, the man in the walker stood there, doing nothing.

"Will you not attack me?" he asked.

"We will if you do not free him!" shouted the Administrator. The artillery behind him got ready and aimed at the target.

"I cannot free him now, I must take tests on him. Go ahead shoot me if you dare, but remember, fish can bite back." said the crazed man fiendishly. The Administrator gets ready, and so Does Silver.

"Let's do this." stated the Administrator.
