Hey-di-hoo! THIS! Is the most awesomely funny story you will read this day (I hope I hope) Well! This story is called (Insert drum roll here) (Dum dum dum dum)…………………A midsummer Nightmare!!!!

Well, anyhoo, enjoy!!!!!!!!

Bi bi!

Sabrina flopped down on the couch; Daphne and Sabrina were supposed to be sorting through some books, which I might mention they'd been doing this all day.

"Sabrina! You're supposed to be helping!" wailed Daphne.

"I am…" mumbled Sabrina.

"No you're not—HEY! What's this!" exclaimed Daphne, holding up a leather-bound book.

"A book." said Sabrina, doubtfully.

"Well, I can see that!" said Daphne, she opened the book and flipped though it for a minute.

"I think it's a book of…gibberish." said Daphne after thinking a minute.

"No libeling." said Granny Relda, walking though the door, Veronica Grimm following behind her, "It's a book of Shakespeare's plays, such as Much Ado about Nothing, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, The Taming of the Shrew, and A Midsummer Night's Dream."

I've heard 'bout that." said Puck, walking in behind them.

"Well of course you have you dork! YOU are in it!" said Sabrina.

"And it's a good thing you've found it." said Veronica, cutting in before Sabrina and Puck started biting each other's heads off.

"Why?" asked Sabrina suspiciously.

"Because, Veronica and I have agreed on something. None of you are doing enough in the Art's. So, we've been looking for a dance or art class for you to enroll in, but then we found something even better, look" said Granny, handing Daphne a bright yellow flyer.

Daphne squealed, "I WANNA DO IT! PLEASE LET ME DO IT!"

"What?" Sabrina and Puck said at the same time. Daphne handed Sabrina the flyer. It read:

Actors needed!

Auditions will be held, June 14-17, Shakespeare's Lane, 14439,Shakespeare's

Theater.

Then there was a bunch of random stuff like, what the troop would try to accomplish, and what time the auditions would be.

Puck read over Sabrina's shoulder.

"Not interested." he declared after reading it.

"You're going to audition whether you like it or not." said Granny firmly.

"I am not an actor!" he shouted.

"Puck, there is no reason for you to be yelling!"

"Of course there is! I am a villain! I am not a stupid little actor, that is such a wannabe that I have to pretend to be someone else!" he yelled.

"Sabrina, Daphne, Red, and you Puck, will audition on the 14th, and try to get in. Is that understood?" said Granny. Sabrina and Daphne nodded, after a minute of being stared down by Granny, Puck shrugged, said something, like "I won't listen to them! I won't do what they say! I won't—"

"Puck," said Granny, exasperated, "You might not get in, they will choose only the best, and the ones capable."

"ARE YOU SAYING I'M NOT THE BEST!?" Puck roared.

"No Puck, we are saying…well never mind." sighed Granny. Puck left the room with smoke coming out of his ears.

"Daphne, Sabrina," said Veronica, taking the Shakespeare book from Daphne's hands. "Let's look through here, it says you must say a short monologue. Let's pick one out for you to say."

After looking though the book, and picking some short ones out, they picked which one to say, Daphne picked Juliet's famous 'Romeo, Romeo, where art thou Romeo?'

And, Sabrina picked the closing monologue from A Midsummer Nights Dream. (She picked this one because Puck said it in the play, and she wanted to embarrass him.)

After practicing them for half an hour, Daphne and Veronica went to look up more about the troupe.

Four days later, Sabrina found herself standing on a dark stage, with 30 other kids and teens, which included: Daphne, Red, and a bad tempered Puck.

Everyone was standing in a line. There were two adults in the chairs where the audience sits. And there was a person who Sabrina thought was probably the producer sitting in the wings, scribbling names and numbers on a clipboard.

In five minute intervals, the people sitting in the audience, who Sabrina guesses was the director and probably co-director, would call one of the kids names, and they would step forward, and say their name, and how old they were and then monologue and then dance a little routine, (because this also had a tiny bit of dancing in it too), then they would step back, and then wait for the next person's name to be called.

Sooner then Sabrina wished, her name was called and she stepped forward.

"You're name?" called the director.

"Sabrina Grimm." said Sabrina.

"And you're age?"

"12." she answered.

"Please recite the monologue you have prepared for us."

Sabrina took a deep breath and began,

" If we shadows have offended,

Think but this, and all is mended:

That you have but slumbered here,

While these visions did appear;

And this weak and idle theme,

No more yielding but a dream,

Gentles, do not reprehend.

If you pardon, we will mend.

And as I am an honest puck," at these words, Sabrina heard choking from behind her. Figuring it was Puck, she started up again.

"If we have unearned luck

Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,

We will make amends ere long,

Else the puck a liar call.

So, good night unto you all.

Give me your hands, if we be friends,

And Robin shall restore amends."

"Thank you." said the director, after a long pause.

The next few minutes went by in a blur. Suddenly Daphne was reciting hers, then Red, and then the last person to recite, of course was Puck, he said his name, how old he was, (At first he said his true age, then after a fake laugh, he said he was twelve.) He recited a monologue from MacBeth, the one he says right after his wife dies.

Everything started normal, when Puck started his monologue, but when his words became more meaningful, and more powerful, there was a morning tension in the air, and a soft whisper of flute music. And Sabrina could see his minions, flying around his shoulders, on and off transparent.

Then suddenly he uttered the last words, and everything was quiet; all the tension in the air was gone, the emotion in the air was gone as well, everything was gone, the second his lips closed and he spoke no words.

Everything was quiet. No on spoke, not even the director.

Sabrina could feel her heart pounding in her chest.

She waited for someone to say something. She waited two minutes. Puck just stood there, in the middle of the stage.

Finally, finally, the director, spoke.

"Wow!" he said clapping his hands, "That was wonderful! I-I can guaranty now, that you're going to be in this play! Wow! Amazing! T-thank you Robin, we'll let you know, if you get in."

Puck walked back to the line of children and teens.

"Thank you everyone." said the director," you may all go."

Sabrina had to wait three days before she knew if she was in.

She was almost a sleep on the couch, when a sickeningly happy Puck, flew into the room, and dropped a letter in her lap!

"READ IT!" he yelled, Sabrina looked at the letter, through tired eyes, the letter was already opened and cream-colored paper was peeking out from inside it.

She pulled the letter out.

Greetings Grimm Family.

Sabrina pulled the list of people accepted, and skimmed it for her name.

"What does TBA mean?" asked Daphne, who was reading over Sabrina's shoulder.

"To be announced." answered Sabrina.

"YOU'RE HERMIA!" screamed Daphne.

"I know…" murmured Sabrina, getting over the shock

"Look for me!" squealed Daphne.

Sabrina nodded.

She read the rows and rows of names.

"Titania

Oberon

Puck

"THAT'S ME!" screamed Puck, running over, from were he had been lying down on the couch pretending not to listen.

"We know that smarty." said Sabrina, even thought inside she was jumping up and down, dancing a victory dance, just wait until Puck saw the script!

Daphne had grabbed the paper and was searching for her name, finally she found it.

"I'm Sweet Violet! And Red's Moth! We're fairies!!!"

"Ah, or course," said Puck, smiling, "Of course she is, one murderous lunatic for the other murderous lunatic!"

"Stop it!" wailed Red, crying, "I wasn't myself!"

"Of course you weren't" said Puck sarcastically.

HEY! Did you like it? Hate it? Never going to read my work again? Well let me know!
