Hello!! I would just like to call out to my faithful BETA. Jenny you are awesome!!!!

I don't own Harry Potter. Wish I did though.

The week passed fairly quickly. Nashira was given separate training by Ginny in order for her to be able to play for the team during the next match. She also discovered that her muggle studies object, the rubber duck, changed colour in hot water. Something she found incredibly cool. Eventually Friday rolled around, signalling the day Gryffindor played Slytherin. Nashira sat, shaking with nerves, next to Harry at breakfast. Cho was practically sitting on his lap but she just couldn't find it in herself to care. Ginny was sat smiling reassuringly at her.

"You'll do fine Nash. You're better than our last chaser."

She smiled weakly before deciding that breakfast might not be such a great idea. She walked to the changing rooms with Harry. Before heading into the boy's one he held out his hand.

"Here. It belonged to my Godfather before he gave it to me. You can borrow it for the match if you want. It always helps with my nerves."

In his hand was a gold ring, ornately laid with the Gryffindor crest. She shook her head.

"I can't take that. You might need it."

Amusement shone in his green eyes.

"I think you need it more than I do."

"Thank you."

She changed quickly, pulling the scarlet and gold uniform over her head like a life jacket, and picked up her broom. Yet another gift from Harry that she had been unable to refuse. It was a new model and she cringed at the thought of how much he might have spent on it. It was called a Shooting Star. She chuckled at this as she left for the pitch with the team, Harry's ring on a chain around her neck.

"And here comes the Gryffindor team with their new, rather attractive, chaser Nashira Star!"

Professor McGonagall scolded the commentator for his suggestive language as they kicked off. They all looked down to Madam Hooch. She blew the whistle and Nashira was there, clutching the leather ball to her chest as she flew around two rather stupid looking Slytherins. She passed to Ginny and they somehow managed to score a goal. She saw Harry smile at her and suddenly she couldn't help it.

"Er…Professor is it just me or is the Gryffindor chaser glowing?"

She suddenly dimmed and the commentator rubbed his eyes. It was too late. The others had seen it now. Damn it. She thought to herself furiously. Just keep playing. They'll think it was a trick of the light. She took off, leaving a barely perceptible trail of light behind her, snatching the quaffle half way through a pass and scored. Subtly she kicked the bludger towards Malfoy, something that would normally have broken a persons foot and yet left her shoes only lightly scuffed.

Needless to say Gryffindor won. After the match Nashira knocked on the boy's changing room door. Only Harry was still in there and she wanted to give the ring back. The door creaked open and she glanced around before stepping in. She rounded the corner before walking straight into the bare chest of a certain Gryffindor seeker who was half way through buttoning up his shirt. She glowed so brightly in her blush that he had to blink several times to get rid of the Nashira-shaped blind spot.

"Oh God Harry I'm so sorry. I just wanted to give this back."

She thrust out her hand with her head turned away, fire still burning in her cheeks and her heart going at three thousand miles an hour. He took the ring and chuckled while doing up the remaining buttons.

"It's okay Nashira I'm dressed now."

She peeked over before turning back to him and smiling sheepishly. He grabbed her hand, something that had become habit whenever she felt nervous or awkward and she softened slightly.

"Now how about we go back to the common room?"

The Weasley twins lifted Nashira into the air, chanting her victory as she tried to keep her glowing face dim enough to avoid suspicion. Harry had congratulated her and laughed at her expression as she discovered butterbeer. She sat down on the sofa with a sigh. Hermione looked up to her with an all too familiar glint in her eye. It was the I-have-an-idea glint and Nashira knew from experience that this was a situation where she would either have to agree with Hermione or be crushed under her sarcastic comments. She loved Hermione like a sister, she really did, but she was scary.

"Nashira are you going to Hogsmeade tomorrow?"

This stumped Nashira for a second.

"I don't know…I don't have a legal guardian to sign the form do I?"

Hermione frowned.

"Perhaps you should ask Dumbledore about that. I just…well…I have a plan and you are the only person who could possibly convince Harry, the stubborn ass he is, to agree to it."

Nashira tapped her head in question and Hermione nodded. She preferred to ask before delving into somebody's mind. She gently entered the patterns of Hermione's thoughts. The plan was a very good one, if slightly risky compared to Hermione's usual rule following nature. Nashira grinned.

"I'll ask. I think it's a brilliant plan. I could teach better than old prune-face and I've only been studying it for a week or two."

Hermione shooed her off so that she could talk to Professor Dumbledore. Nashira used another of her 'party tricks' as Harry liked to call them. By manipulating the light she would not become invisible but no one would notice her. Their eyes would simply glide past her unless she wanted them to see her. Silently she walked down the empty corridors and approached the gargoyle and returning to full visibility.

"Password?"

"Jelly tots. Merlin knows what they are."

The gargoyle chuckled in agreement and moved aside. She knocked on the big oak door and it opened swiftly the revel the wrinkled old Headmaster sat behind his desk.

"Well hello there. Well done today Miss Star. What can I help you with?"

She smiled and he gestured for her to sit down.

"Well you see Professor I would very much like to go to Hogsmeade with my friends…It's just that I don't have and have never had a legal guardian. I mean considering my age I don't need one but I have to keep up appearances with the humans and I appear to be fifteen."

He nodded. A fifteen year old with no guardian, not even a children's home, would be very peculiar indeed and would draw unwanted attention to Nashira. He was having trouble enough trying to hide the fact that she had supposedly appeared out of nowhere, aged fifteen, able to walk and talk and with extensive knowledge of world history and the lifeline of Harry Potter. He hid a smile at that last thought and she, much to his relief, appeared not to be listening in. She threw him a curious glance after a minute of silence and he spoke.

"Well yes that is a problem. I may have the perfect solution though. Would it be okay if I made a quick…trip?"

She smiled amusedly.

"Of course. I'm not going to spontaneously combust just yet." She giggled lightly at the end. He chuckled.

"My dear I should be no more than five minutes. Help yourself to a Jelly tot if you wish."

He pushed a gold bowl of small sugary sweets towards her and she took one curiously. She had a sweet tooth, a human craving that Hermione was continually moaning about. Nashira let this go however, being the daughter of two dentists was sure to leave its mark on her know it all of a friend. She popped it in her mouth as Dumbledore stepped into the fire and she blocked out what he said as he disappeared, not wanting to be nosy. The sweet was extremely tasty and she ate several more whilst looking around the office. Several of the paintings glared at her and others made conversation. She was gazing at the numerous shiny objects (another draw of hers. If it shone or sparkled she loved it.) when the fire flared up revealing Dumbledore and a kindly looking woman with red hair and a large smile. Nashira returned the smile nervously.

"Nashira this is Molly Weasley. She's a very close acquaintance of mine and I can assure you your secret is safe with her."

Nashira shook her hand.

"Are you Ron and Ginny's mother?"
The woman smiled again.

"Yes. Are you a friend of theirs?"
Nashira nodded and sat down in a chair next to Mrs Weasley.

"Oh yes they are some of my best friends. Fred and George are funny too."

At the words 'best friends' what Nashira had previously thought to be impossible happened. Mrs Weasley's smile got even bigger. Dumbledore coughed.

"Nashira, Molly and her husband Arthur have offered to be your legal guardians. I have explained the situation fully and they are happy to take you in. Of course you would be allowed to see Harry whenever you wish to. I understand that your purpose here has something to do with him?"

She nodded.

"We would just like to know what you think of the offer."

Nashira grinned widely at the woman sat next to her, glowing brightly. Mrs Weasley looked at her in amazement.

"Oh sorry about that. I do tend to glow from time to time. I would love to stay with you Mrs Weasley."

"Oh dear call me Molly. Or Mum if you'd like."

Nashira smiled mostly to herself.

"Mum…I like the sound of that. When should we tell the others?"

"I have sent them a notice. They should be arriving right about…"

There was a knock at the door.

"Now."

The door opened to reveal Ron, Ginny, two very mischievous twins, Hermione and a very confused looking Harry. The four red heads bounded forwards.

"Mum!"

Nashira giggled as the other two made their way over. Ginny sat next to Nashira on the armchair. It was very large and so held both of them with ease.

"So…. why is mum here?"

Dumbledore smiled.

"Molly has offered to become Nashira's legal guardian and she has accepted."

Ginny squealed and hugged Nashira tightly while repeatedly chanting 'I finally have a sister!'. The other Weasleys were slightly subtler but still had wide grins on their faces. Harry and Hermione were laughing at Ginny's reaction. Dumbledore cleared his throat.

"Ah yes about that Nashira. You have the option of changing your name."

"To what?"

Fred laughed.

"I think Frank would suit her!"
She glared at him playfully before turning back to Dumbledore.

"Well you could completely change your last name to Weasley, add it on to your current name or keep your name as it is."

Nashira sat there. Thoughtfully twirling her hair.

"Well my current name is a bit obvious. Star? I made it up on the spot. But I have become rather attached to it… Hermione how does Nashira Star-Weasley sound? That way the teachers can still call me Star if they wish but I would still be a Weasley."

Hermione grinned and nodded. Molly was overjoyed at the addition to her family. She was pleasant, polite and already good friends with her other children. What else could she ask for? The documents were drawn up. Honestly it seems that everything has its place in Dumbledore's office. Need an adoption form? Second draw on the right. Two words of it were a lie. Parents deceased. The rest was fairly straight forwards. Dumbledore signed as a witness and the form was sent off. She would be a Weasley by the morning. Mrs Weasley cheerfully signed Nashira's Hogsmeade form and hugged her tightly, insisting that she, Harry and Hermione all spend Christmas with the rest of the Weasleys, before leaving after Nashira assured her she would be keeping touch. Nashira walked back to the common room hand in hand with her new sister. She liked having a family already and she was only ten minutes in. Harry joked that her hair was even the same colour as theirs and they all crept back into the tower without being caught. Ginny yawned and set off to bed with the parting words 'Wait until you meet dad' and Fred and George soon went up as well. Leaving Harry, Ron, Hermione and Nashira in the otherwise empty common room. Nashira gestured for them to sit down.

"Harry, Hermione had this idea earlier and I want you to hear us out before you say no."

He looked at her with a confused expression before she gestured for Hermione to continue. She explained her plan to start a Defence against the dark arts 'club' of sorts, which she thought necessary due to Umbridge's pathetic teaching methods…taught by Harry. He protested loudly at this but Hermione threw a look at Nashira and she stood up, grabbing his shoulder and dragging him back down onto the sofa.

"Harry you're really good from what I've seen. And trust me there are very few things in your life that I haven't seen so trust the expert eh? Plus I would really like to learn Defence. I'd be a crap protector if I didn't wouldn't I? Please?"

She released the full power of her metallic blue eyes on him and he had no hope. He sagged on the sofa.

"How many people would there be?"

Hermione grinned in triumph.

"Just some close friends."

Nashira hid her snort as the actual number popped up in Hermione's head. Harry sighed again, cleaning his glasses on his robe.

"All right."

Hermione squealed slightly.

"We're meeting tomorrow in the Hog's Head in Hogsmeade at lunch."

Harry and Ron went up to bed and Hermione sat next to Nashira.

"Thanks for doing that. He would have said no otherwise."

They headed up the staircase and bid each other good night as they climbed into bed. Nashira lay on her front, looking out of the window at the stars. She loved her new family already, but there would always be room in her heart for her twinkling companions.

"Goodnight." She whispered. Knowing full well that they would hear her if they were watching her. As she closed her eyes she heard the faint silvery voices of her sisters.

Good night Nashira. And good luck.

Ta dah! An extra long update! Surely I deserve a review?
