I apologize for lack of updating. Things have been rather hectic lately. School is crushing me with homework and I'm taking my first AP class. My clubs are swarming me and I've been spending weekends catching up on sleep or on any assignments.
Sorry if I butchered the tarot card thing; I clicked on the first site I saw.
OC Status: Need more guys, and more evil people.
OC credits at the bottom.
Disclaimer: Pokémon does not belong to me. Nor do some of the OCs in this and future chapters. I only own, Alex, Zeke and Aaron. Oh and I guess Zeke’s dad.

Made of Legends
They became part of it unexpectedly. They were sucked in away from their comfortable lives. Now the Prophecy is starting to take ground, an undeclared war started and Trainers are being called to the Tournament of the Century. Relationships will forge, deceptions made, and a Champion crowned. If there is a Champion after this whole thing is over.

Chapter Two: Places to Go, People to Meet, Pawns to Control

A flock of Pelipper took off into the cloudless blue skies, Aaron Visetti watching for Latias within the mass of the dual-types. He smiled fondly as he caught sight of her, darting in and out of the flock. The smile faltered when he remembered why and how he knew Latias and why she was playing hide-and-seek within the Pelipper.

They would be heading off to locate the recipients of the letters in their beaks. The Trainers that had been hand selected by him, Alex, Zeke and the Head, carefully pouring over every detail, every accomplishment, failure and dark secret they could find. Only the Trainers they believed were compatible with a Legendary would receive a letter...or most of them would.

Each Trainer would receive and envelope, plainly addressed with the Trainer's name. When they opened the letter, a small disk shaped object would fall out, with only one button visible on it. And when they pressed that button, as all of them would, a hologram would be projected.

It would be the hologram of a man in his late 40s, a sleeping Skitty curled on his lap while he was in a wheelchair. Even as a hologram, the set worry lines would be evident on his face, his gray eyes sharp and depressing... Yet he would still be able to emanate a strong commanding aura, proving his disability and null and void.

Then...he would speak.

"Congratulations. You have been one of the lucky," Aaron scoffed while he recorded this. Lucky how? "Trainers chosen to be entered in what will be known as the tournament of the century." And as he would talk, the words would spell out large enough over the man's head, an idea courtesy of Zeke, who had thought it would help Trainers still in shock.

"I am Jerome Van Aislinn, the head of this Tournament. I have invited the best of the best to participate in this tournament. Ferries will be departing from Vermilion City, Olivine City, Goldenrod City, Cianwood City, Slateport City, Lilycove City, Mossdeep City, Canalave City, Snowpoint City, and Sunyshore City on July 17th at 4:00 PM promptly. For those who would rather take their Pokémon by air or sea, the map has directions for you to follow. I hope to see you all soon."

And then the hologram would be replaced by two boxes. One with the word 'Accept' underneath it and the other 'Decline'.

Aaron tilted his head back, watching the underbellies of the Pelipper overhead. He knew that each and every Trainer would check the 'Accept' box. He also knew that other people they had invited would be more than willing to participate.

'What's wrong?'

'Just thinking...' Aaron sighed mentally. 'Maybe this tournament was a bad idea; what if we can't change the Prophecy?' He asked.

Suddenly and unexpectedly, he was lifted into the air, face to face with a very angry looking Latias. Well, she looked more worried than angry. 'Don't say that. Latios always said we can change the future.'

Aaron smiled at her sadly. He didn't mean to upset her; in fact, it was the last thing he wanted to do. She may have been a Legendary, but she still seemed so young and innocent. 'Latios is right. We'll find your brother's partner.' And he said it because he knew that that was her underlying concern; that she didn't want to have to face whatever dangers were ahead of them alone. Latias needed her brother. It was that simple.

Latias blinked, setting him down and releasing him from her Psychic attack. 'Promise?'

'I promise. Now, let's go bug Zeke.' He grinned.

'No! I want to go play with the Pelipper!' She said, flying off. 'I'll be fine! Go!' She urged when she saw him hesitate.

Aaron raised his hand in departure. "Yell if I'm needed."

It was an odd, circular shaped room, the tile and walls an eye-shielding white. There were machines placed all around the room, beeping and blinking, displaying information only certain people would know how to read. The information was, after all, encrypted. You could never be too careful. Never.

Zeke stood, hovering over a screen, monitoring one of the many tanks around the room's perimeter. There were too many for him to count or care for, but he knew each one was important. They were each a different color, standing for a different Legendary Pokémon. When their partner was found; the stone would be fashioned into something the human could wear. For Zeke, the purple stone that connected him with Mewtwo decorated the numbers of his pocket watch and other various pieces of jewelry.

He was currently in deep thought, emerald eyes reading the screen furiously fast. Zeke tapped his fingers rapidly on the keyboard, pulling up different screens, reading them, then closing them again, frustrated by what he was seeing.

A small 'whoosh' alerted Zeke to another person entering. With the lack of a bone-chilling tingle running up his spine, he figured it wasn't his father and with Al off the island for the meantime, it only meant one other plausible person: Aaron. Unless his Metagross had somehow managed to get out of his Pokeball and release his other Pokémon, then it could be them. He didn't look up, though; focusing on the more important screen, his eyebrows knitting together.

"Figured you'd be here. Anything interesting?" Aaron asked, walking past Zeke without so much as a second glance as he approached one of the tanks in the room. He pressed his hand to the cool glass, his red ring causing the blue stone suspended within the tank to pulsate violently.

"Aaron, don't. You're screwing with the data." Zeke said sharply, glaring at the Viridian native without really looking up. It was a talent he had developed when he was younger.

Aaron glared back coldly with his light blue eyes. "A please would be nice." He snapped, dropping his hand. The stone immediately stopped pulsating, returning to its deep blue color. "Latias is getting impatient. She really wants her brother to find his partner."

Zeke glanced up briefly. "We all want them to find their partners. Where is she anyways?" He asked, finally satisfied with what he saw on the screen. He pulled up a chair from somewhere behind him, fiddling with the small stud on his ear, made partly of the light purple rock he owned that connected him with his own Legendary.

"Circling the island. I think she's scaring the Pelipper." He mused thoughtfully. "Practicing constantly like that takes a lot out of her. It still hasn't sunk in...For either of us, you know?"

"Yeah, I know." Zeke sighed. "The telepathic bonds, their power at our hand...it's weird." He agreed. This was one of the few times he and Aaron weren't at each other’s throats. Honestly, he liked these moments; arguing took too much out of him.

'She's found Mew.' A voice suddenly said in Zeke's head and he grabbed his Pokenav as a reflex.

"Our Trio's whole again." Aaron smiled wryly, catching Zeke's shift in mood, which really only meant one thing: something good or bad had happened to Alex. He really hoped it was the former.

"Another pawn under our control."

Hailey 'Hailstorm' Maysons let out a long, relieved sigh, having just sent her reply back with the delivery Pelipper that was now just a dot in the distance. The brown haired, brown eyed trainer was sure that the letter had been from the manager in Violet City, pertaining to the 'unfortunate' incident. (One in which she managed to snag a couple of freebies. Was it really her fault that the boy at the register would succumb to a few bats of the eye and a few well chosen words?) It was to her over joyment (and relief) that it was a letter of invitation. One which she had accepted with no hesitation.

After all, it was a Tournament. How could she say no?

She glanced over at Gardevoir, who Hailey could sense was having doubts. Though she was sure it was for nothing. It was just a tournament, one that she'd be sure to win...right?

"Right." She said aloud, calming herself. "This is the one, Gardevoir. This is the one we'll win for sure!" And she started off for the road to Goldenrod City.

But in the back of her mind, there was that nagging feeling; like she had disturbed something. As much as she would never admit it, Hailey was so close to retracting her answer when she had felt that shiver snake up her spine. She had shaken it off though; this was just a tournament.

Just a tournament.

And somewhere in the Hoenn region, a monster molded from heat and rock stirred. Almost mechanically, his arms creaked as he struggled to adjust to his awakening. There were no jagged parts, nothing sticking in odd angles. He moved effortlessly after a few moments, almost like a well-oiled machine. His body was smooth, rounded, everything gray or various shades thereof, save for the six red dots, now blinking, in the middle of his body.

Registeel had awakened.

'Bam!' A Larion rammed into a particularly large boulder, the tiniest crack appearing in the mass as the Larion stepped back, ready to use Take Down once more, her claws retracting and extending, like a Tauros ready to charge forward.

"Hold on Stub, I think that's good." A young woman said, stepping forward, her light brown hair swishing in its ponytail as she made the movement.

Stub gave her Trainer a look before ramming into the boulder once again. It shuddered violently before crumbling under the Larion's power and Keyi held tightly onto her battered white hat, keeping it from being blown away.

Behind the crumpled wall lay a Pelipper, one that Keyi and Stub had...accidentally trapped. The dual type looked unhurt, though he didn't look too happy with Keyi...or Stub for that matter. He flapped over to Keyi, dropping the envelope in her hands.

She was slightly shocked after the hologram, but accepted anyway, sending her reply off with the still disgruntled Pelipper. It was about time to find something to do instead of wandering around constantly. It was starting to get tiring frankly.

"Come on, we still have to get through this forest." Keyi sighed, urging Stub to move forward.

What harm would entering do?

He looked up to the ocean's surface. It was time. He felt it run through his small blue body; the Prophecy was taking roots. And he was ready to play his part. The small red jewel in the middle of his body began to pulse as he located an ocean current to take. Throngs of Mantyke, Remoraid, Horsea and almost every water-type Pokémon surrounded him, a personal escort to the Prince of the Sea.

The cards were being shuffled at an alarming rate, the Doll Pokémon barely even breaking a sweat at her pace. She layed the cards out, subtly eavesdropping on her Trainer's conversation.

The Fool. Upright: New Adventure.

Okay, not too bad. They were heading to that Tournament; that could be considered an adventure.

The Wheel of Fortune. Upright: Destiny.

So they were destined to that Tournament? That could go either way, she decided. Her Trainer was now discussing a topic with Sol.

Speaking of, the next card was the Sun. Reversed: a cloudy future.

Huh, this reading was getting to be interesting.

Last card. Judgment. Upright: Awakening.

Very interesting reading indeed.

Jamie paused midway in her conversation, her startling blue eyes glancing up to Banette. "How's my future looking, Dolly?" She joked lightly, a wry smile tugging at her lips.

"Bay! Banette! Banette!" She made a gesture to the cards. Seeing the Judgment card had made her panic, as she had had a fleeting image of an enraged Arceus wreaking havoc. Though it might have been her imagination, she knew that her reading was somehow important. But that wasn't going to be good enough.

'You're going crazy.' Sol thought, rolling his carmine eyes. 'Arcues has been asleep for years. Heck, he wasn't even awake two centuries ago!'

Dolly shook her head. Something big was happening. And they were involved.

His cobalt eye opened suddenly, narrowing into a barely visible slit as he felt the sudden darkness course through his body. The shadows that helped him blend into the night suddenly began to sway and the red and white on him began to stand out as he moved forward effortlessly through his world. The one he was to find was on her way. The power of nightmares began to propel him, the darkness giving him unlimited power. The rivalries would have to wait. Cresselia would have to wait. This was bigger than the both of them.

Darkrai was ready.

Whoo, end of chapter two. Mind you all, I should be studying for my Unit Essay in AP Euro, but I felt so bad for not updating. I've only used three OCs this chapter. And I'll be introducing three more: Jay, Mai, and Enna. These six (including the three in this chapter) have been printed out for forever! I will get all OCs...eventually. Just bear with story updates; I'm incredibly busy.

Oh and I managed to snag a Japanese version of Heart Gold and Soul Silver so...yeah...My Cyndaquil and Mareep own.

Last thing: I'm going to post Zeke and Aaron's Pokémon team right now; I'm still working on their profiles, but I just thought I'd give you a heads up on the other two of the trio.

Zeke: Nidoking, Gyarados, Tyranitar, Gallade, Skymory, and Metagross
Legendary: Mewtwo

Aaron: Dewgong, Arcanine, Flygon, Dragonair, Ditto, and Ninetales
Legendary: Latias

Oh, I lied. Please review and point out any mistakes or any wrong portrayal of character. As in, if you don’t think I have your character right, please tell me right away. I'm sorry that character intros are so short. But remember, they are just introductions.

OC Credits:
Hailey: Fireblast123

Keyi: Silentlysnowing (I'll have Seth show up; after all, Latias needs her brother ^^)

Jaimie: Insan

Until next time,
