Obsession
This burning rush, this obtrusive thrill
Is getting the better of me, it is an insatiable fire;
It steals over me, it is a nightmare
And it shall haunt me until all turns still.
With no word can it be named but desire
No words can describe it but suffocating air.
You alone are able to pique my bloodlust
You arouse within me an inexplicable drive
And it possesses me as nothing else would do.
Destruction is on my mind, to kill you as I must
Yet as you are there this flame shall remain alive.
It will burn higher and it will scorch me through.
To see your blood upon my sword, it is the intent;
But to hear your voice pleading release from pain
For mercy, for pity, it is what I covet more.
It burns my blood with harrowing excitement
That from no one else could I possibly attain;
By fate you are to abhor, by instinct to adore.
I will hunt you down, this pursuit will not cease;
I swear that I will find you, you can never hide;
You will never be relinquished by this passion
This passion that all but merely you would appease.
This madness is such that it sparks such fury inside
Within a soul now so devoured by this obsession.
