“Hey Sky wait up!” Syd shouts as she skids across the hallway.

Sky turns slightly. “What?” He asks with his usual annoyed tone.

Syd smiles. “You didn’t hear? Wow! I mean usually you or Jack knows; even occasionally Z but never me. I-”

Sky begins to walk away again until Syd flips in front of him. “There’s a new ranger coming. Uh Clark something. The Black Ranger!”

Sky looks at her for a moment before turning around and heading in the opposite direction. “Where are you going?” She asks. He doesn’t reply. “Ugh!” Syd stomps her foot and pouts.

“Permission to enter sir?” Sky calls to Doggie. “Granted.”

“Sir with all due respect why was I not aware that a new ranger was coming?” He asks Doggie. “With all due respect you’re not the red ranger.” Jack says, smirking. Sky glares at Jack and then looks back at Doggie.

“Jack is half right. He being the red ranger I inform him first. Under these circumstances though I thought it best to tell no one, unfortunately that didn’t work.” Doggie smiles slightly. “Clark Carson.” He announces.

Kat nods and turns on the monitor. A picture of a young woman appears. She has long dark brown hair pulled into a high pony tail. Her bright green eyes are almost identical to Bridge’s. The only difference is there sex and the fact that Clark has a platinum blonde streak in her dark hair.

“She looks a lot like Bridge.” Jack whispers, thinking out loud. Kat laughs. “She should. That’s his older sister.”

Jack and Sky turn to stare at Kat. “What?” Sky asks.

“Hey Bridge open up!” Jack yells at Bridge’s door. “Hold up!” After a large crash Bridge comes tumbling out of the door. “What’s up Jack?” “Well, uh, how come you have a sister you never told us about?”

Bridge’s eyes widen and Jack finishes his sentence. “Oh you mean Clark?” “Yeah I mean Clark, she’s coming here.” “Sweet.” Bridge smiles and walks around Jack. “Were you ever going to tell us about her?!” Jack yells after him. Bridge turns and shrugs. “You’ll meet her tonight.”

“Hey Z.” Syd says as she plops down on the couch, filing her nails. Z rolls her eyes and doesn’t reply. “Did you hear about the new ranger?” Syd asks. Still no response from Z.

“I don’t know is it’s a good idea. I mean come on do we really need another ranger? And black? What’s up with that? She could have chosen a better color.” Syd continues. “Ok Sydney you win. I’m leaving!” Z shouts, closing her book and walking down the hall. Syd smirks and continues to file her nails.

“So Sky has Syd already asked you your opinion on the black ranger?” Z asks. “I won’t judge until I meet her.” He replies. “But she’s already pretty bad in my book.” “How so?” “She’s Bridge’s older sister.” Before Z can reply Sky motions her to follow him.

“What?!” Z looks at Sky. “That’s about all I know. Doggie wants to talk with us, probably more about her.” Sky walks out quickly. “But wait, Bridge has a sister?!” Z asks. Two younger cadets stare at her before walking off. “What are you looking at?”

“Cadets, I am proud to announce Cadet Clark Carson.” Doggie says as the young woman enters the room. Bridge smiles and walks over to his sister. “Hey Clarks.” He hugs his sister and she hugs back. “Bridgy!” She smiles “How is my little brother?”

“I’m good. I-” Bridge pauses as he sees Doggie staring at him. “Oh sorry! Uh Clark this is Jack the red ranger, Sky the blue ranger, Z the yellow ranger, and Syd the pink ranger.” Clark smiles and shakes all of their hands. “Pleasure.”

She turns back to Doggie. “Commander Cruger, great to see you again.” She shakes his hand as well. “Cadet Clark. You have grown so much.” He replies.

Syd tilts her head and sighs. “Clark you and Bridge look a lot a like.” “They are related Syd.” Z rolls her eyes. Bridge smiles. “Syd do you think you could take Clark to her room?” Syd nods. “Sure! Come on Clark.”

After a moment of awkward silence Syd stops and turns towards Clark. “What kind of name is Clark?” Clark smirks. “It’s my name.” Syd scoffs. “Well duh. Fine, here’s your room.”

Syd is about to turn away when Clark begins to speak. “What was the blue ranger’s name?” Syd turns around and furs her brows. “Sky Tate.” She says slowly. “He’s cute.” Clark grins as Syd shakes her head. “Oh no he is off limits, not to mention it’s against the rules.”

“Okay, just wondering.” Clark replies.
