Haruhi lay down in her soft bed, looking up into stars. As far as she was concerned, her life- if a little odd- was perfect. She was happy, buried in happiness. She had never felt such feelings before. The tenderness and love she felt for her best friends filled her completely. As she lay down, a faded remembrance came back to her. She closed her eyes and fell asleep almost immediately, leaving the memory for her dream to create and render...
She stood in the middle of a giant parade, hair raven dark and so long it almost reached her waist. She was a tiny five year old, with big appraising eyes and quivering lips. She had lost her father and was running around in agony, frightened and scared. Every where she turned she was faced with a sharp elbow or a hard surface. Suddenly she ran right into a small blonde child. He looked up at her with a big smiling mouth. He was trailing around a moth eaten and tatty rabbit which dragged against the cutted road. He took her hand, muttering, "I'm Honey!"
Haruhi took comfort from his warm hand. How old was he? 3 years old, maybe even younger? She giggled as he led the way through the crowds, feeling less scared. "Watch it, there," came a cool and calm voice. Haruhi looked up and was star struck by a black haired boy, clearly older then her. His serious and earnest expression was boosted by soft rimmed glasses perched on the end of his nose. He pushed them up and, without taking his eyes off the two small children in front of him, he nudged a boy next to him.
The other boy turned around, with a grin that warned Haruhi of a strange and odd nature. His flamboyance stunned her as he took her hand and shook it vigorously. "Tamaki, Tamaki Suo, young girl," she almost yelled out. Haruhi was taken about, but touched by his friendliness. "Hey, Honey, where's Mori?" he added, looking around. "Here," a gruff, but gentle voice replied. It took Haruhi by such surprise that she shivered. The tall, handsome stranger nodded at her.
Two boys, short, around the same height as Haruhi, appeared behind Mori, smiling, throwing peace signs and random words all over the place. Their bubbliness surrounded Haruhi and she laughed softly. "Who are you both?" she whispered, knowing that they were 'twins.'
"At your service!" they both cried joyously. The sunset was becoming more obvious. The sky had turned a deep scarlet and crimson. They all breathed in, watching it in awe. "Haruhi-chan!" Haruhi could hear her dad calling, the warm voice sound out around the parade as all the boys looked up in shock. "I have to go," she murmured softly, waving goodbye to them, before intercepting through the crowd to find her father. "We'll see you again!" the loud and rather obnoxious, but very friendly voice of Tamaki boomed.
Haruhi turned over in her sleep, the faint smile obvious on her face. "See you... soon..."
