"I'm Carly."
"I'm Sam, and the weirdo behind that camera is Freddie."
"And this is all for this week, guys!"
"Don't miss our next iCarly episode!"
"Bye!" We say together just before Freddie says "Ok, we're out."
I throw myself onto the beanbag sighing dramatically, "Hard work is exhausting." I state simply. Carly rolls her eyes at me.
"Oh shut up, Sam." She laughs.
"Carly, I'm so glad you finally regained your sanity." Fredward says, smiling. He seems ecstatic and I think I know why.
"What do you mean?" Carly asks, confused.
"For a moment I thought you were being serious with the… about the… you know." He mumbles pointing between me and her.
"Kiss?" She finishes the sentence.
"Yeah." What a dork, he has the stupidest smile on his face and he's standing upright like his chest is full of pride. "Anyway, I'll see you guys later. I have to go help my mum; she wants to put her loofahs in order by color and size"
Carly and I exchange a "What the fuck?!" look while he packs up some of his stuff.
He's leaving and waving goodbye when I feel something itchy on my back. I get up a second to find the reason of my discomfort. A half eaten chocolate bar. Yummy.
"Sam!" Carly's looking at me disapprovingly with her hands on her waist. She looks cute even when she's scolding me.
"Wha'?" I say innocently with my mouth full of delicious old, smashed chocolate.
"You don't even know how long that bar has been there!" I just shrug at this and finish it with one last bite.
"It's food. It's good." I say finally cleaning my mouth with the back of my sleeve.
"Whatever." She mumbles, trying to hide a smile. Because it doesn't matter what or how wrong is what I'm doing, I can always make her smile.
"So the nerd really thought we were gonna kiss." I say half laughing, half serious. "I think you just made his day."
"Who said we aren't?" She's staring at the floor and I can't read her. But I really hope she's joking.
"Yeah, right." I say insecure, like it sounds insane to me.
She looks at me and grins and then she's leaving the studio and I follow her, because I always do. Always will.
-
"I'm starving." I state from my side of the couch where I've been sitting all afternoon. After the show we just talked a bit with Spencer and watched old episodes of Girly Cow.
"Hey, let's cook something." Carly says, suddenly excited.
"Anything that revolves around food I'm fine with it."
We decide to make pizza. I'm making the tomato sauce while she mixes the ingredients to make the dough together.
I look at her and I can't help but chuckle because some of the flour ended up in her hair and on her beautiful face.
"What?" Carly asks me, amused.
"Nothing cupcake." She tries to clean her face which just messes it up even more than it had been before.
I laugh at this and she throws some flour at me.
"Hey! Don't disturb the cook!"
She raises her eyebrows and drops her jaw at me. I just grin and continue removing the sauce.
Suddenly her voice is dangerously close to me.
"Smells good." She says, in a husky voice.
"Uhm, thanks." I mumble, not turning to look at her.
And then I feel her front pressed to my back and her hands travel from my hips to the front pockets of my jeans. My breath hitches and my hand drops the spoon clumsily into the pan.
I swear to God this girl is going to be the death of me.
"Let me try it." Carly demands with her chin on my shoulder.
I bring the spoon to her mouth slowly. She blows at it before taking a sip.
I can see her closing her eyes and licking her lips, tasting it carefully. I seriously think I'm going to faint at any moment.
She smiles and stares deep into my eyes. I can clearly see hers are darker than usual and I'm sure mine are the perfect reflection of pure lust.
And for a second I think she's going to kiss me on the lips but she just gives me a small peck on the cheek.
"Delicious." She says, moving away from my body. I feel like crying. "And the sauce too."
And then I'm all hot again.
-
"Is it done yet?" I ask for the twentieth time.
"No Sam, it isn't just like it wasn't done two minutes ago." Carly answers, exasperatedly.
I've been sitting on the kitchen stool for what seems like an hour (but it's probably only been ten minutes), waiting for the pizza to be ready. Carly is standing next to the oven and I know she is as impatient as me but she just doesn't show it.
"Can't we just eat it already?"
Carly looks at me bewildered. "Of course not! It wouldn't taste right."
"If you say so." I mumble.
"Yes, Sam, it wouldn't." She stays firm. I sigh heavily and she turns to me.
"But I'm hungry now." I pout exaggeratedly.
"Aw." She softens a bit. She stares at my pouted lips with those beautiful orbs for a second. Then she slowly looks away and then looks back to my eyes smiling. "Why don't you do something to entertain yourself?"
I look around the room. "There's nothing to do!" I raise my arms in the air. "Nothing else but the painful waiting." I know, I'm such a drama queen when it comes to food.
"Well…" Carly trails off, while walking to stand in front of me. "I can think of a couple of things we can do."
Her voice is deeper than usual and I know she's on that mode again. And after two whole weeks trying to convince myself that it's just my imagination, I've came to terms with it. Carly is openly teasing me.
What I don't know yet is if she's doing it for fun or she's really trying to seduce me.
"Like…" I gulp, hard. "What?"
She takes a step closer to me and laughs huskily. "Use your imagination, Sam."
I jump from my seat and move five feet away from her. I have to, because I just felt the undeniable urge to kiss her. And I can't risk so much. Or could I?
"Y-you know, b-better than anyone, Carls, that I hardly use my brain with anything that doesn't involve eating." I joke to try and release the tension that's building in the room.
She laughs but keeps looking at me as if she were some kind of predator and I were its prey. And I'm very aware that's what we are like. I shift uncomfortably, suddenly feeling very self-conscious.
And just then this thought pops into my mind like some sort of epiphany.
I, Samantha Puckett, am not the shy, nervous, embarrassed one. No, not at all.
I'm the total opposite.
I am, and always have been the suggestive, outgoing, cool and calm one. The charming one. That's me, not this version Carly created with her teasing.
And this sudden realization hits me hard giving me a new perspective of the situation.
A knowing smile creeps onto my face and it feels so good to feel it there again.
Carly seems to notice some change in me and frowns, confused. I step closer to her, closing the space between us. I know she can see the old mischievous glint in my eyes coming back. She steps back when I'm too close and I'm enjoying it a little too much in knowing she's a bit scared.
"Why are you smiling like you know someone's dirty little secret?" She asks me, raising an eyebrow.
She's starting to understand what's going on, and so do I.
"Oh that's because…" I grip the front of her shirt and pull her to me, her face a few inches from mine. "I do."
"Really?" Her voice is barely a whisper now, her eyes almost black. I lick my lips subconsciously. "Whose secret would that be then?"
"Yours."
I slowly close the space between us by bringing my lips to brush against hers, half taunting the waters, half teasing her like she did to me these past weeks.
I pull back a bit to check her reaction. Our eyes lock and I can see the hunger, the lust, the urge. The same urge I had all these days reflected in her eyes. But I see something new too, it's warm and tender. The love. I smile.
Suddenly she grips the back of my neck and crashes her lips to mine with need. I smirk into the kiss and move my hands to her hips to bring her closer to me, if that was even possible, that is.
I brush the tip of my tongue against her lower lip, savoring the taste of her watermelon chapstick. She opens her mouth with a moan and I feel my knees buckle.
Her tongue is sweet and hot against mine and I can't get enough.
After a few minutes of hot and steamy kissing, I smell something burning. At first I think it's me, that my entire self just burst into flames and I'm ok with it.
But the smell gets stronger and I open my eyes and reluctantly leave Carly's mouth, only to see the whole kitchen covered in grey smoke.
"What the…" Then it suddenly hits me. "Fuck! The pizza!"
Carly looks at the oven and then at me again, an amused expression on her face. I turn to run to the oven to see if I can save some pizza, but a strong grip on my arm stops me.
"Uh, uh." Carly shakes her head at me. "After two weeks of trying to seduce you with no luck, I'm not letting you change me for a piece of burnt food."
She takes my hand and pulls me to the stairs and towards her room.
After a while I can hear Spencer shouting from downstairs, something about calling the fire-fighters or the Power Rangers, but I'm laying on Carly's bed, with her body pressed against mine, completely immersed into her mouth again and honestly, I could care less.
That was it! Please review and tell me what you think of the ending or the whole story!
Review even though you just say "good" or "bad" I'd like to know!
