I was born one cold Christmas morning. It was 1975 December 25 at one in the morning. My mother went into labor around 12:47 and I was out in 13 minutes. My father had helped my mother and there on the green shirts of the bed I was crying in the middle of my mother’s legs. It hurt when I took a breath of this unusual world. Everything was blurry but I heard mom’s familiar voice. “Oh, he’s so beautiful, Sev.” My mom angle-like voice said.

Soon my sobs cleared and I only whimpered everything was clear now. My brain was like a sponge observing everything in. I looked around and found someone over me. He had shoulder-length black hair and onyx black eyes. His nose was long and his lips were pulled into a small smile. “So you’re the one kicking your mother these past three months.” His voice was so familiar, I knew the moment he spoke that he was dad. “Severus, stop that.” Mother said. “Sorry Fenrir.” Dad said. “Okay what are we going to name him?” Mommy asked.

I felt cold and hungry after dad finished washing me off. I cried out, mom took me from dad’s arms and put me close to his chest. I stated to suckle. “Well he is going to be the prince of the vampires someday, so he needs a good name.” Mom said. So I’m a vampire, what’s a vampire? I asked myself as I kept nursing. I look up at mom and I saw his light brown hair that went to his waist and it was really curly, his warm crystal blue eyes. I kept eye contact with him as his warm milk ran down my throat and into my stomach filling the empty feeling. Dad I heard him sit on the bed and put his head on mom’s shoulder to get a better look at me. “He looks like you, Severus only the color eyes.” Mom said. “Yeah, your eyes,” dad whispered. “Fenrir how are we going to do it we have school soon and I don’t think professor Dumbledore will be so happy that I got a female even if the female is a male considered a female pregnant at young age.” I saw mother smile and looked down at me with love. I felt happy right away, mom loved and I could feel it in his touch and hold on me. “I know what we could name him.” Dad said happily looking down at me with pride.

I felt really happy, my dad also loved me and was proud to call me his son. “What is it, Severus?” Mom asked. “Salviles.” Dad said “Precious one in Elvish right? So, Salviles Severus Salazar Tobias Prince Snape?” Mom asked. Dad nodded and I was named.
