Into the Past

Summary: three girls get into a car crash and end up into 1776 during the American Revolutionary War and end up getting taken by the red coats. What kind of chaos and destruction will they make? “He’s taken Ashley! That motherfucker!” I whispered angrily, glaring at the back of the Colonel. Lilly glanced at me. “What should we do?” I grinned. “Go after him.” Lilly sighed. “On the count of three…..one….two….three, CHAARRRGEEEE!!!!!!”

Chapter 1

“God, I hate college.” 20 year old Lilly Johnson sighed, cracking her fingers. She had straight blonde hair that just reached her shoulders and light green eyes. She was very attractive and most guys would die to date her, but she didn’t really like boys and often threw them away. She wore white caprices with a pink tank top and a black zip up jacket over it with knee high boots. She was about 5’6” and weighed at least 135 pounds. Lilly hated the sight of blood and she also hated war.

“It’s okay, I guess…..” 18 year old Ashley Webster said quietly. She had slightly curly dark brown hair that reached her shoulders and baby blue eyes. She looked kinda weak, but was cute, almost like a puppy. She wore blue skinny jeans with a blue short sleeve shirt over it with black shoes. She was about 5’4” and weighed at least 129 pounds. Her biggest dislike was violence, but I was surprised she hung around me.

“College is actually fun. Besides getting in trouble.” I grinned. My name is Jayden Hartford and I’m 19 years old with straight jet black hair that goes past my shoulders a little with hair over the right side of my face in an emo way and black eyes. I have three piercings on each ear, two on my left eyebrow and one on my bottom lip. I wore black skinny jeans with a blue tank top and a black tank top over it and a black zip up jacket and shoes. I’m about 5’5” and weigh at least 134 pounds. I love to fight and I’m never usually serious, but there are times that I am. I carry a black hilted switchblade with me everywhere I go, even though I’ve never had to pull it out on someone during college so far.

“Let’s get the hell outta here and go home for the weekend.” Lilly says.

“Yeah and maybe we’ll get to go to a party.” Ashley says with a smile.

I smirked. “Let’s blow the joint girls!” and we rushed over to my car and got in, driving off. “So, where should we head first?”

“We should go out to eat.” Lilly suggests. She was sitting up front with me while Ashley sat in the back. I looked over my shoulder at Ashley.

“You wanna suggest something Ash?” I ask.

Ashley thought for a moment. “Well, we could-Jayden, the road!!”

I looked back to the road, only in time for us to smash into another car head on. The car stopped and all of us exchanged looks before another car hit my side and sent us spinning.

That last thing I heard before I blacked out was Lilly and Ashley screaming.

…………………….

“Jayden! Jayden, wake up!!” a voice broke through the darkness.

“Ooooh……” I groaned and opened my eyes, seeing Lilly and Ashley standing over me. “You guys are okay!” I jumped up and hugged them both.

“A few bumps and bruises, but we’ll live.” Lilly chuckled, rubbing the back of her neck.

Suddenly, all three of us heard thundering, like the hoofs of horses. Something was coming our way. “Quick, hide!” I said.

Lilly and I hid in some bushes and Ashley hid behind a large rock. We saw people wearing red coats on horses come down the path. “Where the hell are we?” Lilly whispers.

“No fucking clue, but those guys must be British, like in The Patriot.” I whisper back.

“Let me go! Put me down!!”

Both of us looked to see two red coats’s pulling Ashley from behind the rock. “What’s this? A spy?” their leader asks. I instantly recognized him. Colonel William Tavington.

“I’m not a spy! Let me go!” Ashley screamed.

Tavington grabbed Ashley’s arm and placed her in front of him, keeping a good grip on her. “Move out!” he said and they all rode off.

“He’s taken Ashley! That motherfucker!” I whispered angrily, glaring at the back of the Colonel.

Lilly glanced at me. “What should we do?”

I grinned. “Go after him.” Lilly sighed. “On the count of three…..one….two….three,

CHAARRRGEEEE!!!!!!” I yelled out a battle cry and we both ran out of the bushes towards the road coats, pacifically Tavington.

I guess he must of heard us because he turned his horse around to look at us just as we came running up and tackled him off his horse, making Ashley fall. I twisted Tavington’s arm behind his back. “Get Ashley and go! I’ll catch up!” I said.

Lilly grabbed Ashley and began running back into the forest. I smashed Tavington’s face into the ground and got up, running after my friends.

“Get those girls!!!”

“Keep running!!” I yell and we ran into the forest. “Hurry, climb a tree!” We climbed up a tree pretty high just as the red coats caught up with us.

“Where did they go?” one man asks.

“I don’t care, find them!!” Tavington ordered, looking extremely pissed off.

“Think they’ll find us?” Ashley asks.

“Nah.” I shook my head. “We’ll just wait until they leave and find the good guys.”

CRACK

“Jayden, the branch-!” was all Lilly could say before I fell. I fell straight down and onto Tavington, knocking him off his horse for the second time.

“Time to run!” I yell and make a run for it, but was grabbed by the arm. “Get off me!!!” I yelled and swung my leg back. It connected with a shin and I was let go and ran.

“Shoot her!!”

BANG

Pain erupted in my left shoulder and I fell to the ground with a cry of pain. “Fuck…..” I whispered, turning over to my back and watched as Tavington came towards me with his sword drawn.

“No, stop!!”

He stopped and both of us looked to see Ashley and Lilly jump out of the tree. “Leave her alone!” Lilly says her face full of courage.

“Get the hell outta here!” I demand, slowly reaching into my back pocket, wrapping my fingers around the hilt of my switchblade.

“Grab them!” Tavington roared.

“Run!!” Ashley screamed and the two ran off.

Just as he looked back to me, I had pulled out my switchblade and tackled him to the ground, holding the blade at his neck. “Unless you want me to slit your throat, I suggest you call your guys back.”

His eyes narrowed in anger. “Fine.” He called his guys back. I gave a quick glance at Ashley and Lilly, who hid behind a tree.

“Alright, get up.” I pull Tavington up by his collar, still holding my switchblade at his throat. “Now, do exactly as I say. When I pull my switchblade away from your throat, if you even attempt to come after us, I guarantee your death will be a slow one. Got it?”

He gave a sharp nod. “Good.” I quickly pushed Tavington away and run towards my friends. “Go, now!!” we run.

………………………………

“Damn Jayden, I wish I was as good as you.” Lilly pants as soon as we got far enough away. We were near a small stream. My shoulder hurt like hell, but it at least stopped bleeding and I had tore off some of my shirt and wrapped it tight around my shoulder.

“Now we just gotta find the good guys.” Ashley says.

All of a sudden, red coats’s came out of nowhere and grabbed Lilly and Ashley, holding guns to their heads. If I even attempted to harm one of them, they would just kill either Lilly or Ashley.

“Give up girl?” a voice asks from behind me.

I turned around and saw Tavington. I glared at him and crossed my arms over my chest. I wasn’t one to give up, but when my friend’s lives were at stake, I couldn’t do anything else. “For now.”

“Good, grab her and let’s get back to camp.”

I could only imagine what was going to happen to us once we reached the camp.
