The King Of Destiny
This is a Stargate Universe/Harry Potter crossover that came to mind when I watched the first episode of SGU, a show I would highly recommend, though that seems kind of redundant as you wouldn’t read a fanfic of it if you didn’t already like it soooo…..
Pairings a to early to decide
Now on with the show
Chapter One – Prophecy Fulfilled
Harry surveyed the ruined landscape around him, the once peaceful lawn of Hogwarts had been reduced to a wasteland, craters formed from wayward spells created a pockmarked effect that were gruesomely filled with the bodies of the dead, Death Eaters, Auror's, Members of the Order and even a few Giants and Dragons lay prone on the battered ground, a great number of their bodies twisted until they were near unrecognisable as human beings anymore, the cruel effect of a desperately cast spell that had created a gravity well, crushing and twisting them to death, though Harry took small solace in the fact that it would have been a quick death.
Death, the metaphysical concept that had followed Harry around now lay all around him, since he was just 15 months old, since his parents had been murdered in front of him by a man who was so terrified of death that he had tried to kill Harry to protect himself from a prophecy that he had become privy too, but in doing so had sealed his own fate and partook in what was commonly referred to as a self fulfilling prophecy.
And now after all of these long years since his rebirth on the night of the third Triwizard task nearly five years ago the being that was once known as Tom Marvolo Riddle was dying, slowly and by the looks of it, painfully, the last battle had cost each of them everything they had, Riddle lost his army of death eaters, his legions of werewolves and vampires, Giants and Dragons and now he was loosing the battle against death that he had begun to wage with the creation of his diary in 1943, slowly bleeding out of the stumps that had once been his right arm and left leg, unable to save himself as his life giving blood was seeping into the earth bellow him.
Harry himself had lost something even more precious to him than his life though, he had lost not only the castle that he had called home since he first travelled across the lake in small rowboats all those years ago, but he had also lost every single person that he had found as he lived there, Ron had died several months before this battle, fighting one of the largest coven of vampires in Europe, he had been bitten and was beginning to turn and so he had turned to his girlfriend of a year, Hermione, to put him down before he could hurt the ones he loved, and after a tearful goodbye she complied, she threw a portkey to Harry that sent him several miles outside the vampires stronghold just in time to see the result of her performing the spell known as ‘Exitialis Vacuus’ causing her magic to become extremely volatile before exploding outwards and reducing everything within two miles of her to dust, not wanted to be parted from the one she loved.
As his red transplanted vampire eye looked over the bodies littered around he saw not one flicker of life in any of those dear to him, the entire Weasley family, McGonagall, Flitwick, Tonks, Remus, Shacklebolt, Snape, the last of ancient families that had stood for hundreds of years lay dead around him and in that moment Harry wished that he could join them, but he couldn’t, he would never throw his life away, the life that they had all died to save by actively killing himself, and judging by the non fatal wounds his body had sustained he wouldn’t even be able to just let his life fade away, no he would live from these wounds, whether he healed himself with magic or not.
‘Was it worth it Tom?’ Harry asked in a tired voice as he looked back down at his greatest enemy.
The snake like face of Voldemort raised up, the angriest look that his altered visage could manage clear to see ‘It would have been!’ the deformed human spat out ‘But you just couldn’t stop defying me! Defying my will!’
‘Why would I submit myself to the will of a madman Tom? Your just a pathetic man screaming at the darkness’ Harry replied as he stepped closer to the down maniac until he was right above him and with the sun beating down above him the form that Voldemort's demonic red eyes could see was that of his nightmares.
Realising that his time was truly upon him he conjured the all the strength that he had left and reached out with his remaining left arm, grabbing his green eyed enemies ankle he chanted an ancient necromantic spell he had found during his descent into the dark arts.
Yanking his ankle away from the spidery grip of Voldemort Harry watched in morbid fascination as his foot and lower leg started to turn transparent before snapping out of his shock and looking up into the face of his enemy.
‘What have you done!’ Harry hissed out as he was bought down to his knee as the weird sensation stopped his leg responding to his mind.
A cruel smirk appeared on Voldemort's face as he revelled in the pained look in Harry's eyes ‘You may have killed me but you wont be around to enjoy it’ he stated mysteriously before the last of his twisted life force left him and he finally dropped to the floor dead.
Though even though he was victorious that wasn’t the last thought on his mind as the effect of the spell finished its journey and left him increasingly transparent until he disappeared entirely.
